Completely done in 48hours.
This was the second year our group Corkwood participated in the 48 hour film festival. Our core group was back with some welcome additions.
Our group "Corkwood" left promptly after the draw Friday night and went to work. We developed the story, character development, shooting boards, locations and logistics until very late Friday night. After the script was finished Friday, we went to scout our locations. The location scout finished about 2:30am
Everything was set for Saturday.
We began shooting Saturday morning on schedule at 7:00am sharp. By the end of Saturday night shooting was complete. Editing started Saturday night and continued into the early hours of Sunday. Being exhausted, we took a few hours break and returned to editing at 7:30am Sunday morning. We were watching the clock very carefully to make sure we were on schedule. We finished the project and made it to the turn in destination on time. This year we were the seventh team out of thirty one teams to submit their film. It was 7:10pm. The cutoff for submission was 7:30pm.
Corkwood had a great time participating in the 2009 48 Hour Film Project. We are looking forward to the 2010 competition. I would personally like to thank all of my group for such a great experience. We worked very smart and did not waste any time. Everyone really did a great job. Without everyone involved, this would never be possible.

Completely done in 48hours.
This was the 3rd year our group Corkwood participated in the 48 hour film project (but only my 2nd time being involved). Our core group was back with some welcome additions. This year we brought on an "official writer" and also were working remotely with a couple Corkwood members overseas and on the west coast.
Our group left promptly after the draw Friday night and went to work. We developed the story, characters, shooting boards, locations and logistics until very late Friday night.
We began shooting Saturday morning on schedule at 7:00am sharp. By the end of Saturday night shooting was complete.
Editing and Visual Effects began at 6:30am Sunday morning. We were watching the clock very carefully to make sure we were on schedule. During the afternoon, we had yet to put a complete timeline together and watch it as a whole. When we did, we quickly realized there was a big problem. We were two plus minutes over the time limit. We quickly cut the film down to time, but really wished we had started editing Saturday night like in years past.
We finished the project and made it to the turn-in destination with absolutely no time to spare. This was the closest we came to not making the deadline.
Corkwood had a great time participating in the 2010 48 Hour Film Project. I would personally like to thank all of my group for such a great experience. We worked very smart and did not waste any time. Everyone really did a great job. Without everyone involved, this would never be possible.

John Waite and Jonathan Cain perform on this mega-hit of the 1980 album "Union Jacks." The thing I love about The Babys is they wrote great songs without tricky solos! Perfect for a strictly rhythm guitarist like myself. This has got to be one of the most recognizable licks in Rock-n-Roll. I'm playing it on a cheap Squier with a tiny amp, but the guitar feels totally awesome and produces a pretty decent sound. Enjoy!

Cain and Abel
Cain and Abel (Hebrew: הֶבֶל ,קַיִן Qayin, Heḇel; Arabic: قابيل، هابيل Qabeel, Habeel) were, according to the Book of Genesis, two sons of Adam and Eve. Cain is described as a crop farmer and his younger brother Abel as a shepherd. Cain was the first human born and Abel was the first human to die. Cain committed the first murder by killing Abel. Interpretations of Genesis 4 by ancient and modern commentators have typically assumed that the motives were jealousy and anger. Completely done in 48hours.
This was the 3rd year our group Corkwood participated in the 48 hour film project (but only my 2nd time being involved). Our core group was back with some welcome additions. This year we brought on an "official writer" and also were working remotely with a couple Corkwood members overseas and on the west coast.
Our group left promptly after the draw Friday night and went to work. We developed the story, characters, shooting boards, locations and logistics until very late Friday night.
We began shooting Saturday morning on schedule at 7:00am sharp. By the end of Saturday night shooting was complete.
Editing and Visual Effects began at 6:30am Sunday morning. We were watching the clock very carefully to make sure we were on schedule. During the afternoon, we had yet to put a complete timeline together and watch it as a whole. When we did, we quickly realized there was a big problem. We were two plus minutes over the time limit. We quickly cut the film down to time, but really wished we had started editing Saturday night like in years past.
We finished the project and made it to the turn-in destination with absolutely no time to spare. This was the closest we came to not making the deadline.
Corkwood had a great time participating in the 2010 48 Hour Film Project. I would personally like to thank all of my group for such a great experience. We worked very smart and did not waste any time. Everyone really did a great job. Without everyone involved, this would never be possible.
