The Atari ST is a home/personal computer that was released by Atari Corporation in 1985 and commercially available from that summer into the early 1990s. The "ST" officially stands for "Sixteen/Thirty-two", which referred to the Motorola 68000's 16-bit external bus and 32-bit internals. Due to its graphical user inferface, it was known as the “Jackintosh”, a reference to Jack Tramiel.
The Atari ST was part of the 16/32 bit generation of home computers, based on the Motorola 68000 CPU noted for 128 kB of RAM or more, a graphical user interface, and 3½" microfloppy disks as storage. It was similar to the Apple Macintosh, but lacked many additional features of the Commodore Amiga, though the simpler design did allow the ST to precede the Amiga's commercial release by almost two months. The Atari ST was also the first personal computer to come with a bit-mapped color GUI, using a version of Digital Research's GEM released that February.
The ST was primarily a competitor to the Apple Macintosh and the Commodore Amiga systems. Where the Amiga had a graphics accelerator and wavetable synthesis which gave it the edge in the games and video market, the ST had the CPU slightly faster clocked, and had a high-resolution monochrome display mode, ideal for business and CAD. In some markets, particularly Germany, the machine gained a strong foothold as a small business machine for CAD and Desktop publishing work. The Atari ST also enjoyed some market popularity in Canada.
Gwendolyn "Gwen" Stacy appears as a supporting character in Marvel Comics' Spider-Man series. Created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko, she first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #31 (December 1965).
A blonde college student, Gwen was originally the first love of Peter Parker (Spider-Man) before the introduction of Mary Jane Watson. The Green Goblin (Norman Osborn) killed Gwen in The Amazing Spider-Man #121 (June 1973). Both the decision to kill Gwen and the method in which Marvel implemented it remain controversial among fans, but the death became a pivotal point in both Spider-Man’s history and in American comic books in general. Many point to Gwen's death as the end of the so-called Silver Age of comics. Spider-Man writers and fans disagree about who is the character’s "one true love;" Gwen or his subsequent love-interest Mary Jane. The character was ranked 89th in Comics Buyer's Guide's "100 Sexiest Women in Comics" list.
In the 2007 feature film Spider-Man 3, Gwen is portrayed by Bryce Dallas Howard. In the upcoming reboot The Amazing Spider-Man she will be played by Emma Stone.
The Atrocities
God visits all lost souls
To survey the damage
We noticed a bonfire
Burning in his eyes
He whispered
"It's the atrocities of your story
Of your story"
God visits all lost souls
To survey the damage
And holding his bleeding heart
A tear comes to his eye
He whispered
It's the atrocities of History
Of History
Of...
The he falls to the floor
For there's many more tears on the sunrise
And now we must eat those tears
Now we must eat our fill
Of the Atrocities
The Atrocities
The Atrocities
You see what I mean with totally pain?
They're not worth to breathe the same air like us
Revenge! Crush the enemy
Kill them slow, burn the scum
The streets are filled with entrials
Take scalps and cocks as trophys
Love... Mercy... are just two vidiculous words
Show them your hate: disqust - abhorrence
Atrocities... What a world?
Realize the real warfare
You can't escape, we are everywhere
Wake up and see: a gun in your face
Stomp out their teeth, let it crack!
Rape their women, slay them
Let them drown in a sea of blood
Over and over again: no mercy!
You see what I mean, with totally pain?
They'll never breathe again the same air like us
Take a glimpse into the other side
And unravel the mysteries of life
As the misdeeds consume the soul
Uneasy your life still goes on
Listen and see the atrocities
Committed in the name of self
Insects crawling devouring the flesh from
Dead bodies forgotten, wasted
The decay, a pile of corpses
Spreading sickness
Listen and see the atrocities
Committed before your very eyes
As mankind kills itself
Abhorrent
The atrocities
The armies of unbalance
Rise to spread chaos
Upon this very world
Apocalypse has begun
Sweeping across the world
