Tiago Cardoso Mendes (Portuguese pronunciation: [tiˈaɡu], born 2 May 1981 in Viana do Castelo), simply Tiago, is a Portuguese footballer who plays for Atlético Madrid.
A versatile midfielder, adept as both a central or defensive unit and with good overall skills, he played professionally in four of Europe's major leagues: England, France, Italy and Spain.
A Portuguese international on nearly 60 occasions during the 2000's, Tiago represented the nation in two World Cups and one European Championship.
Tiago first came to prominence at Sporting de Braga, being cast into the Minho side's starting XI at the age of just 19, and helping with 27 games as it finished in 4th place in 2001, thus qualifying for the UEFA Cup.
In late December 2001, solid displays earned Tiago – and Braga teammates Armando Sá and Ricardo Rocha – a move to league giants Sport Lisboa e Benfica; in his first full season, he scored a career-best 13 goals, helping the Reds finish second in the league and, the following year, helped deny F.C. Porto a historic treble by winning the domestic cup.
Mendes (Μένδης), the Greek name of the Ancient Egyptian city of Djedet, also known in Ancient Egypt as Per-Banebdjedet ("The Domain of the Ram Lord of Djedet") and Anpet, is known today as Tell El-Ruba (Arabic: تل الربع).
The city is located in the eastern Nile delta (30°57′30″N 31°30′57″E / 30.95833°N 31.51583°E / 30.95833; 31.51583) and was the capital of the 16th Lower Egyptian nome of Kha, until it was replaced by Thmuis in Greco-Roman Egypt. The two cities are only several hundred meters apart. During the 29th dynasty, Mendes was also the capital of Ancient Egypt, which lies on the Mendesian branch of the Nile (now silted up), about 35 km east of al-Mansurah.
Tiago Cardoso full name Tiago Cardoso dos Santos (born 8 May 1984) is a Brazilian footballer. He currently plays as goalkeeper for Santa Cruz.
In February 2009 he left for ABC Futebol Clube. as second keeper behind Raniere and ahead Wellington. The club also sold Aloísio soon after. Cardoso then took the first choice at the start of 2009 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B and competed the starting place with Raniere and new signing Paulo Musse during the season. Cardoso won the race in mid-season. Overall he played 16 times in national league with the relegated team.
In December 2009, he left for Monte Azul for 2010 Campeonato Paulista Serie A1.

Ronaldo began his career as a youth player for Andorinha, where he played for two years, before moving to C.D. Nacional. In 1997, he made a move to Portuguese giants Sporting Clube de Portugal. The following season, Ronaldo won his first club honour, the FA Cup. He also played at Euro 2004 with Portugal and scored his first international goal in the opening game of the tournament against Greece, in addition to helping Portugal reach the final. He was featured in the UEFA Euro All-Star Team of this competition.
