World Finance speaks to PwC Sweden about whether the OECD’s 15-point tax action plan will reduce tax avoidance. As news of Starbucks, Google and other multinational corporation’s purported tax avoidance hit the headlines in Europe, regulators struggled to effectively respond to the public outcry - that is, until now. The regulatory antidote to the hysteria has been created by the OECD and trickled down to country level. World Finance speaks to Magnus Johnsson, Head of Tax Services at PwC Sweden, to find out what the regional and local impact will be. Now we know what Israel has had to put up with for so long The videos listed below show a rapidly growing rape epidemic caused by Muslims flooding into Europe, Britain and Sweden. This is why Australia is turning the refugee boats away. If people live in such a crappy country they want to desperately leave, instead let them stay there and welcome more civilized people to arrive to help govern their nation. Don't let them come to our civilized nations to ruin what we have. This is how they forced Britain and Denmark to allow Muslim hordes into their countries. The big Muslim oil money flooded into all of Britain’s political parties as donations. In exchange, British politicians were to allow massive Muslim immigration and make sure the police don’t arrest them or break up any Muslim demonstrations. It’s amazing what a few billion dollars can do when donated to a country’s political parties. Australia may prevent losing their nation to Muslim hordes by passing sweeping new laws forbidding donations to any of its political parties. All elections in Australia would instead be funded through taxation. If someone wants to get elected as a member of Parliament, his political party and himself will be absolutely forbidden from accepting any money, donations, gifts, vacations or anything. Instead, he simply gathers 10,000 hand signed signatures from people in his district, then the Australian govt will give the candidate $500,000 to spend helping him get elected. The only way a nation can now protect itself from massive Muslim over population is to forbid all donations to its politicians and its political parties. Travel video about destination Stockholm in Sweden. Stockholm is a city that floats on water, the 'Venice of the North' was built on 14 islands. Gamla Stan, or 'Old Town', is the name of the city's three central islands that are linked by numerous bridges. Its ambience is that of the Middle Ages and small and mysterious alleys and beautiful buildings that date back to the 7th century characterize the life of the traders who once lived there. The old town's most dominant building is the royal castle of Kungliga Slottet. Larger than London's Buckingham Palace, it contains 608 rooms. The Stadshuset is one of the city's landmarks and was designed in Medieval style eith a tower that is almost 106 metres tall. The most important artists of the time were engaged in the creation of the Blue Hall in which the Noble Prize ceremony now takes place each year. Those who appreciate museums will not be disappointed by Stockholm as it boasts more than 50! The National Museum, located on the Strömmen Canal, contains countless works of art. Due to the passion for art of various Swedish royal families and also generous public donations, the museum has a truly outstanding collection of French paintings that date back to the 18th century. Six kilometres south of Stockholm is a cemetery that has been designated as a World Heritage Site by Unesco, the Skogskyrkogarden, the final resting place for many of Stockholm's past inhabitants and also some of its most famous, including Greta Garbo. This extraordinary complex took 30 years to build and is unique in the world. Since 1998, this centuries-old Hanse city has also been the cultural capital of Europe. This city of the Vikings is a true architectural gem!
http://bookinghunter.com Stockholm is the capital of Sweden and the largest city of Fennoscandia. Stockholm is located on Sweden's south-central east coast, where the freshwater Lake Mälaren - Sweden's third largest lake - flows out into the Baltic Sea. The central parts of the city consist of fourteen islands that are continuous with the Stockholm archipelago. The geographical city centre is situated on the water, in Riddarfjärden bay. Over 30% of the city area is made up of waterways and another 30% is made up of parks and green spaces. The most important places to visit in Stockholm: Vasa Museum (this is Sweden's National Maritime Museum. On display is the famous Vasa ship, the only preserved 17th century ship of its kind), Stockholm Royal Palace (the official residence of the Swedish monarch. It's a former site of a 14th century fortress), Town Hall (a key landmark for the city of Sweden. More than eight million bricks were used to construct this beautiful building), Drottningholm Palace (a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This stunning architectural gem built in the 1600's is the private home of the Royal family) and many more. This video offers a lot of tips to help you plan the perfect vacation. If you want to save time and money, the most important Stockholm travel tip is to compare prices before booking a hotel room or a flight. You can do this for free on http://bookinghunter.com, a site that searches through hundreds of other travel websites in real time for the best travel deals available.

With 608 rooms, it is among the largest surviving palaces in Europe. The present glorious baroque edifice is the work of Nicodemus Tessin the Younger, from a 1692 design, however, parts of the older medieval Castle of Three Crowns still survive. Attractions include the Banqueting Apartments, the Apartments of the Orders of Chivalry, the Hall of State, the Royal Treasury, Gustav III's Museum of Antiquities and the Royal Chapel. There are tens of thousands of different decorative pieces on show, but as is often the case with these kinds of galleries, the biggest draw tends to be the household-name artists, who in this case -- thanks to the likes of Rembrandt, Goya and Rubens -- are here in abundance. It may outwardly look more like a church, but its interior has grand civic apartments, including the Golden Hall with its glass and gold mosaics, while its tower -- topped with Sweden's three-crown emblem -- gives a sweeping panorama of Stockholm. The building's Blue Hall (which is actually red) is the venue for the annual Nobel Prize banquet. Visitors need to join one of the scheduled tours to see the interior, although access to the tower is unrestricted during opening hours. Opening Times: Daily 1000-1200 for guided tours of the interior, with extra tours in July and Aug; daily 0900-1700 (Jun-Aug), 1000-1600 (Sept) for access to the tower. As well as hosting major sporting contests, it also houses restaurants, bars and a shopping complex. Event schedule aside, the attraction of most interest to visitors is SkyView, a glass gondola which carries passengers up the outside of the building's shell. World Travel https://www.youtube.com/user/World1Tube Stockholm - Sweden Travel Guide http://bit.ly/H1YEQ6 Stockholm - Sweden Travel Guide, Tourism, Vacation Sweden's capital -- a Nordic vision of waterways, parks and spire-filled skylines -- is justifiably renowned as one of the most handsome cities in Europe. Spread over no less than 14 islands and surrounded by literally thousands of smaller, rocky islets, it combines the drama and open skies of Scandinavia with the verve, dynamism and urban cool of Western Europe. As with any destination of this scope (there are close to 850,000 residents in the inner city), the soul of the place lies in its many faces: the stucco walls of the Old Town, the contemporary pulse of the galleries, the consumerist buzz of the shopping heartlands, the deep peace of the parklands, the thumping bass of the nightlife and, increasingly, the gourmet draw of the restaurants. Stockholm location on the shores of the Baltic Sea means seasonal variations hit hard, and many locals will tell you that the only thing to match the beauty of a summer's evening in Stockholm is the winter charm of its frozen lakes and snow-fringed skylines. Water surrounds the city, so there's a distinct lack of the urban claustrophobia that affects other capitals, while the famously cordial Swedish temperament (generally friendly, polite and laid-back in equal measure) makes travel to the city easy and enjoyable -- if not always especially cheap. It's very much the hub of affairs in Sweden, to the point where some of those in the provinces refer to the city as the isdrottning (ice queen) as a dig at the capital's perceived sense of self-importance. This is highly unlikely to mirror the impression you'll have as a visitor, however -- it's more probable that you'll share the sentiments of Ingmar Bergman, who moved to Stockholm as a young man to study and work. "It is not a city at all," he once said. "It is ridiculous to think of it as a city. It is simply a rather large village, set in the middle of some forest and some lakes. You wonder what it thinks it is doing there." It's certainly true that Stockholm's unique character is a major reason for its popularity among travellers and, in a continent where charismatic urban destinations come thick and fast, it says plenty that the city's cultural scene is vibrant enough to rival anywhere else in northern Europe. On top of its exhibitions, museums and concerts, meanwhile, it's also a deeply romantic setting in which to while away a long weekend -- you'd have to be hard-hearted not to fall for the mix of preserved medieval architecture, sweeping water vistas and unfailingly intense nightlife. And the legendary national knack for design? It's apparent almost everywhere in Stockholm, from modernist high-rises and boutique fashion houses to sleek museums and baroque facades. Most importantly though, it's worth stressing just how much this is a city apart. It's the most populated urban area in Scandinavia, yet two thirds of it are still comprised of water and greenery. And if this doesn't seem probable, well, you've got the ideal excuse to go and check. ======================== Stockholm, Stockholm Museums, Stockholm Tourism, Stockholm Travel Guide, Stockholm Vacation, Stockholm Attractions, Stockholm Tours, Stockholm Hotels, Stockholm Restaurants, Stockholm Transport, Sweden Tourism, Sweden Travel guide, Sweden Vacation , Sweden == Stockholm - Sweden Travel Guide, Tourism, Vacation, Attractions

A welfare state is a concept of government in which the state plays a key role in the protection and promotion of the economic and social well-being of its citizens. It is based on the principles of equality of opportunity, equitable distribution of wealth, and public responsibility for those unable to avail themselves of the minimal provisions for a good life. The general term may cover a variety of forms of economic and social organization. The sociologist T.H. Marshall identified the welfare state as a distinctive combination of democracy, welfare, and capitalism. Modern welfare states include the Nordic countries, such as Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland which employ a system known as the Nordic model. Esping-Andersen classified the most developed welfare state systems into three categories; Social Democratic, Conservative, and Liberal. The welfare state involves a transfer of funds from the state, to the services provided (e.g. healthcare, education) as well as directly to individuals ("benefits"). It is funded through redistributionist taxation and is often referred to as a type of "mixed economy." Such taxation usually includes a larger income tax for people with higher incomes, called a progressive tax. This helps to reduce the income gap between the rich and poor. Early conservatives, under the influence of Malthus, opposed every form of social insurance "root and branch", arguing, as economist Brad DeLong put it: "make the poor richer, and they would become more fertile. As a result, farm sizes would drop (as land was divided among ever more children), labor productivity would fall, and the poor would become even poorer. Social insurance was not just pointless; it was counterproductive."[63] Malthus, a clergyman, for whom birth control was anathema, believed that the poor needed to learn the hard way to practice frugality, self-control, and chastity. Traditional conservatives also protested that the effect of social insurance would be to weaken private charity and loosen traditional social bonds of family, friends, religious, and non-governmental welfare organisations.[64] Karl Marx, on the other hand, opposed piecemeal reforms advanced by middle class reformers out of a sense of duty. In his Address of the Central Committee to the Communist League, written after the failed revolution of 1848, he warned that measures designed to increase wages, improve working conditions, and provide social insurance were merely bribes that would only temporarily make the situation of working classes tolerable and in the long run would weaken the revolutionary consciousness needed to achieve a socialist economy.[65] Nevertheless, Marx also proclaimed that the Communists had to support the bourgeoisie wherever it acted as a revolutionary progressive class because "bourgeois liberties had first to be conquered and then criticised."[66] In the twentieth century, opponents of the welfare state have expressed apprehension about the creation of a large, possibly self-interested bureaucracy required to administer it and the tax burden on the wealthier citizens that this entailed.[67] Political historian Alan Ryan points out that the modern welfare state stops short of being an "advance in the direction of socialism," noting in particular that: "its egalitarian elements are more minimal than either its defenders or its critics think", and because it does not entail advocacy for social ownership of industry. The modern welfare state, Ryan writes, does not set out: to make the poor richer and the rich poorer, which is a central element in socialism, but to help people to provide for themselves in sickness while they enjoy good health, to put money aside to cover unemployment while they are in work, and to have adults provide for the education of their own and other people’s children, expecting those children’s future taxes to pay in due course for the pensions of their parents’ generation. These are devices for shifting income across different stages in life, not for shifting income across classes. Another distinct difference is that social insurance does not aim to transform work and working relations; employers and employees pay taxes at a level they would not have done in the nineteenth century, but owners are not expropriated, profits are not illegitimate, cooperativism does not replace hierarchical management. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Welfare_state

noodls 2015-03-25Sweden (i/ˈswiːdən/ SWEE-dən; Swedish: Sverige [ˈsværjɛ] ( listen)), officially the Kingdom of Sweden (Swedish: Konungariket Sverige (help·info)), is a Nordic country on the Scandinavian Peninsula in Northern Europe. Sweden borders with Norway and Finland, and is connected to Denmark by a bridge-tunnel across the Øresund.
At 450,295 square kilometres (173,860 sq mi), Sweden is the third largest country in the European Union by area, with a total population of about 9.4 million. Sweden has a low population density of 21 inhabitants per square kilometre (54 /sq mi) with the population mostly concentrated to the southern half of the country. About 85% of the population live in urban areas. Sweden's capital city is Stockholm, which is also the largest city.
Sweden emerged as an independent and unified country during the Middle Ages. In the 17th century, the country expanded its territories to form the Swedish Empire. The empire grew to be one of the great powers of Europe in the 17th and early 18th century. Most of the conquered territories outside the Scandinavian Peninsula were lost during the 18th and 19th centuries. The eastern half of Sweden, present-day Finland, was lost to Russia in 1809. The last war in which Sweden was directly involved was in 1814, when Sweden by military means forced Norway into a personal union. Since then, Sweden has been at peace, practicing "non-participation in military alliances during peacetime and neutrality during wartime". However, Sweden has been a member of the European Union since 1 January 1995 and is a member of the OECD.
Milton Friedman (July 31, 1912 – November 16, 2006) was an American economist, statistician, and author who taught at the University of Chicago for more than three decades. He was a recipient of the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, and is known for his research on consumption analysis, monetary history and theory, and the complexity of stabilization policy. As a leader of the Chicago school of economics, he influenced the research agenda of the economics profession. A survey of economists ranked Friedman as the second most popular economist of the twentieth century behind John Maynard Keynes, and The Economist described him as "the most influential economist of the second half of the 20th century…possibly of all of it."
Friedman's challenges to what he later called "naive Keynesian" (as opposed to New Keynesian) theory began with his 1950s reinterpretation of the consumption function, and he became the main advocate opposing activist Keynesian government policies. In the late 1960s he described his own approach (along with all of mainstream economics) as using "Keynesian language and apparatus" yet rejecting its "initial" conclusions. During the 1960s he promoted an alternative macroeconomic policy known as "monetarism". He theorized there existed a "natural" rate of unemployment, and argued that governments could increase employment above this rate (e.g., by increasing aggregate demand) only at the risk of causing inflation to accelerate. He argued that the Phillips curve was not stable and predicted what would come to be known as stagflation. Friedman argued that, given the existence of the Federal Reserve, a constant small expansion of the money supply was the only wise policy.
