County Tyrone (from Irish: Tír Eoghain, meaning "land of Eoghan") is one of the six counties of Northern Ireland. Adjoined to the south-west shore of Lough Neagh, the county covers an area of 3,155 km², with a population of approximately 166,516, with its county town being Omagh. It is also one of the thirty-two traditional counties of Ireland, lying within the historical province of Ulster.
Tyrone is the seventh largest of Ireland’s thirty-two counties in area and eighth largest in terms of population. It is the second largest of Ulster’s nine counties in size and fourth largest in terms of population.
The name Tyrone is derived from Irish: Tír Eoghain meaning "land of Eoghan". This Eoghan was son of king Niall of the Nine Hostages, and brother of Conall Gulban, who gave his name to the kingdom of Tír Chonaill. Historically, it was anglicised as Tirowen or Tyrowen, which are closer to the Irish pronunciation.
Historically Tyrone stretched as far north as Lough Foyle, and comprised part of modern day County Londonderry east of the River Foyle. The majority of County Londonderry was carved out of Tyrone between 1610-1620 when that land went to the Guilds of London to set up profit making schemes based on natural resources located there. Tyrone was the traditional stronghold of the various O'Neill clans and families, the strongest of the Gaelic Irish families in Ulster, surviving into the seventeenth century. The ancient principality of Tír Eoghain, the inheritance of the O'Neills, included the whole of the present counties of Tyrone and Londonderry, and the four baronies of West Inishowen, East Inishowen, Raphoe North and Raphoe South in County Donegal.

Philomena Begley (born October 20, 1950) is an Irish country music singer.
Philomena Begley was born and grew up in Pomeroy Co. Tyrone and worked in a shirt factory in Cookstown before her break into music.
Her first venture as a singer was with the popular Old Cross Céilí Band, whom she sang with as a dare, but stayed with the group. The group soon became known as the Old Cross Bandshow and released three records in Ireland in 1968 and 1969, but none made an impression in the charts. In September, 1970 the band changed its name to The Country Flavour. Begley's first record following this became her first chart hit when "Here Today, Gone Tomorrow" reached Number 7 in the Irish Charts. In 1974 she formed the Ramblin' Men, while the Country Flavour continued to tour with several other lead singers (including Eileen King and Dan O'Hara) during the 1970s.
Begley regularly toured with Ray Lynam from 1975 and they recorded many duets together. Probably their most popular being "My Elusive Dreams" which would go on to be mentioned in The Pogues' song, "A Pair of Brown Eyes".
Marian Price (born 1954), also known by her married name as Marion McGlinchey, is an Irish republican militant.
As one of the so-called "Price sisters", Price was jailed for her part in the IRA London bombing campaign of 1973. She was part of a unit who placed four car bombs in London on 8 March 1973. The Old Bailey (Central Criminal Court and Hillgate House – a Government Building) and Whitehall army recruitment centre were damaged with 200 injured and one man died of a heart attack.
The two sisters were apprehended along with Hugh Feeney and seven others as they were boarding a flight to Ireland. They were tried and convicted at the Great Hall in Winchester Castle on 14 November after a two days of deliberation by the jury. Marian Price was sentenced to two life terms.
She and her sister Dolours Price, along with Gerry Kelly and Hugh Feeney, immediately went on hunger strike in a campaign to be repatriated to a prison in Northern Ireland. The hunger strike lasted over 200 days, with the hunger strikers being force-fed by prison authorities for 167 of them.

He was charged with attacks on the British Army of the Rhine and held for four years in a specially-built German detention centre. His trial in Germany was interrupted by extradition to the United States, where he was charged with attempting to buy surface-to-air-missiles in 1983. He served three years of his sentence in US prisons until his release in 1996 whereupon he was deported to the Republic of Ireland.
Kandi girl (kandi girl)
You are my world (you are my world)
You look so sweet
You're a special treat
Kan-di girl
You are my world (my world)
You look so sweet
You're a special treat
Wow ta dow watch out now
It's lil' Briana no I'm not Bow Wow
I'm that candy girl that lil' Miami girl
Sweet like cinnamon with the candy swirl
I'm like sugar and spice
My flow so nice
Colorful ice like rainbow bright
I'm that candy girl sweet like a life savor
Got more flavors than a pack of Now or Laters
Ten years old the baby diva
The kids at school call me baby Trina
When I step on this track it make your fingers snap
And do the peanut butter jelly with the baseball bat
I taste like candy a candy treat
So sweet from my head down to my feet
This song's dedicated to my candy girls
The life of luxury the candy world
With candy benz's marble floors
Cartier kisses and cash galore
With candy toys candy yacht's
Candy verses and candy four dots
No it don't stop and we on the rise
To slip and slide and diva enterprise
We drop candy hits that's how we bring it
I'm a candy girl come on Stef sing it
I'm a candy girl and my flow too hot
Sweet like lollipops and gumdrops
Gummy bears Skittles and Kit Kats
I'm a young girl running this game you with that?
I got more flavors than Starburst
I keep my penny candy in my Prada purse
If I act too sassy pardon me y'all
I be playing with Barbie dolls in my carnegie hall
I'm a good good girl a candy girl
The baby Diva with the baby doll pearls
If you ain't come to party we ain't having that
