WE tv is an American cable television channel that is marketed towards women. It features some original programming, such as non-fiction talk shows, as well as made-for-TV movies, older feature films, and reruns of TV shows, it also shows art and fashion documentaries and reality series. Thematically, the programming is focused on women and women's issues. WE tv is owned by AMC Networks.
WE tv was originally known as Romance Classics when it launched on September 1, 1997. Similar to sister station, American Movie Classics, it originally aired commercial free movies, mostly in the romantic drama/comedy and television miniseries genres. This format was abandoned in 2001 when the station was re-branded as WE: Women's Entertainment. In 2006, Rainbow Media re-branded the channel once again this time under the name WE tv.
The channel showed the popular Australian, Logie Award Winning television series McLeod's Daughters for seasons 1-3. The channel dropped the show in April 2006. WE has since been under scrutiny and criticized for its decision to cancel their top rated show for less expensive reality television. A major campaign by fans to bring the show to another network in the United States has been in the works.
The siren on the street outside, didn't even turn your head
It couldn't cut the silence between us in this bed
You're staring at your wall and I'm staring at mine
So we don't have to see each other cry
Back to back heartaches, side to side tears
If we don't face the problem the pain won't disappear
There's still some love between us, why else would we be here
With back to back heartaches and side to side tears
We lie here like statues in some ancient tomb
Man, it sure gets lonely with five walls in one room
This wall we built between us, we had to tear it down
But one of us will have to turn around
Back to back heartaches, side to side tears
If we don't face the problem the pain won't disappear
There's still some love between us, why else would we be here
With back to back heartaches and side to side tears
There's still some love between us, why else would we be here
Hey look comin? down the way
Guess who got back in town today
I know he? s got some goodies on his sleigh
Could it be, why yes, it? s Mr. Christmas
Slidin? sideways kickin? up snow
Makin? a sound that goes ho ho ho
A big jelly belly and a cherry for a nose
Could it be, why yes, it? s Mr. Christmas
Everywhere he goes he? s spreadin? Christmas cheer
Everybody know he? ll be back again next year
Mr. Christmas
A Barbie doll and a little toy gun
Milk and cookies and he? s on the run
You? ve gotta love him that old son of a gun
Was that him? Why yes it was, Mr. Christmas
Everywhere he goes he? s spreadin? Christmas cheer
Everybody know he? ll be back again next year
For you the love that we knew is over and done
That may be, but as for me it still goes on
You found somebody new who made you forget
What we had but I can't do that yet
I'm not through losing you, I haven't got into the ending
I love you just as much as I did back at the beginning
There's a lot of letting go for me to do
I'm not through losing you
I pray one of these days that I'll wake up
And I'll be past looking back on our love
Somehow it's easier now to keep holding on
Till the day I'll find the way to let you go
I'm not through losing you, I haven't got into the ending
I love you just as much as I did back at the beginning
There's a lot of letting go for me to do
I'm not through losing you
That's one for me, and one for you
Add it up and we're just two fools
And on, and on, and on, and on, it goes
You hurt me, and I hurt you woman
Like two kids we're keepin' score
Am I one, two or three heartaches ahead
Are we even yet
Are we even yet
Do we even know if we're holdin' on or lettin' go
Nobody wins, when we can't forgive and forget
Are we even yet
My words hurt, and cause you pain
Tear drops fall like pourin' rain
You cry and cry, love dies and dies some more
Revenge is sweet, when you don't talk
I'm afraid you're gonna walk
What will it take to take back the things we've said
Are we even yet
Are we even yet
Do we even know if we're holdin' on or lettin' go
Nobody wins, when we can't forgive and forget
I thought that life was runnin' off,
leavin' me behind.
So like a fool I jumped the fence,
just to see what I could find.
But love kept disappearing like
children chasing fire flies in the dark.
And to think that I once had it all,
in my own backyard.
You'd never know it now, but I used to have it all.
A swing set and a plastic pool, a shaggy dog that lived to fetch a ball.
An angel with a glass of tea, laughin' at the kids and me,
all soakin' wet from washin' that old car.
And to think that I once had it all, in my own backyard.
That bare spot's grown over now,
where third base used to be.
And the weeds have choked out all the flowers,
but they can't kill the memories.
Lord, I'd love to run back home,
but there's no one there for me.
And that grass I used to hate to mow,
sure is lookin' green.
Ohh, you'd never know it now, but I used to have it all.
A swing set and a plastic pool, a shaggy dog that lived to fetch a ball.
An angel with a glass of tea, laughin' at the kids and me,
all soakin' wet from washin' that old car.
And to think that I once had it all, in my own backyard.
AHHH>>> You'd never know it now, but I used to have it all, all, all>>
Spoken: Once I had everything,
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
Jack Frost nipping at your nose
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir
And folks dressed up like Eskimos
Everybody knows a turkey and some
Mistletoe help to make the season bright
Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow
Will find it hard to sleep tonight
They know that Santa's on his way
He's loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh
And every mother's child is gonna spy
To see if reindeer really know how to fly
And so I'm offering this simple phrase
To kids from one to ninety-two
Although it's been said many times, many ways
Merry Christmas to you
They know that Santa's on his way
He's loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh
And every mother's child is gonna spy
To see if reindeer really know how to fly
And so I'm offering this simple phrase
To kids from one to ninety-two
Although it's been said many times, many ways
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas
Show me a woman who left her man
And I'll show you a man with a drink in his hand
Doing all they can to survive
And I'll show you a man, you better not let him drive
Show him the way to an old jukebox
I'll show you a man putting quarters in his slot
Show me a woman who left her man
And I'll show you a man with a drink in his hand
Well, misery loves company
That's the way it's always gonna be
Setting him up and pour him down
As long as woman leave and drink and zoom out
Show me a woman who left her man
And I'll show you a man with a drink in his hand
Doing all they can to survive
And I'll show you a man, you better not let him drive
Show him the way to an old jukebox
I'll show you a man putting quarters in the slot
Show me a woman who left her man
And I'll show you a man with a drink in his hand
Yeah, you fool around and you get your heart broke
You get a pop of thirst and you drink till you choke
'Cause you need a little something to numb your brain
Dry your tears and drown the pain
Show me a woman who left her man
And I'll show you a man with a drink in his hand
Doing all they can to survive
And I'll show you a man, you better not let him drive
Show him the way to an old jukebox
I'll show you a man putting quarters in the slot
Show me a woman who left her man
And I'll show you a man with a drink in his hand
Set him up, Joe, set him up, Joe
Come on, let's go, come on, let's go
She broke my heart, she broke my heart
That cure is sitting on the bar
Show me a woman who left her man
And I'll show you a man with a drink in his hand
Doing all they can to survive
And I'll show you a man, you better not let him drive
Show him the way to an old jukebox
I'll show you a man putting quarters in the slot
Show me a woman who left her man
And I'll show you a man with a drink in his hand
Show me a woman who left her man
And I'll show you a man with a drink in his hand
Doing all they can to survive
And I'll show you a man, you better not let him drive
Show him the way to an old jukebox
I'll show you a man putting quarters in the slot
Show me a woman who left her man
Yesterday you walked away and left me
Today you say your sorry that we're through
Our love will work we'll heal the hurt
so help me
laying blame is the last thing I would do
I'm the only thing I hold against you
let my loving arms show you the truth
there'll be no I told you so's
no matter how much heart ache we'll go through
I love you
(I'll always love you)
I'm the only thing I'll hold against you
I know it'll be just like the first time that I held you
when we swore that our love would always last
lets give it one more try don't be afraid to
One touch and we'll forget about the past
I'm the only thing I hold against you
Let my loving arms show you the truth
there will be no I told you so's
No matter how much heartache we'll go through
I love you
(I'll always love)
I'm the only thing I'll hold against you
Sometime things go wrong between a woman and a man
I know will make it work
All we need is a second chance
I'm the only thing I hold against you
let my loving arms show you the truth
there'll be no I told you so's
no matter heart ache we'll go through
I love you
(I love you I'll always love you)
I'm the only thing I'll hold agianst you
Thru the deep snows of uncertain winter descending
With Joseph I wander, with Mary I ride
Toward the promise that waits
At their harsh journey?s ending
Those of humble estate shall in mansions abide
Sprinkle some glitter on magazine angels
Use matchsticks and clothespins to build Bethlehem
Make the star in the East from a piece of tin foil
Look for the child within
Let Jesus be born again
Now who will be greatest in the kingdom of Heaven
The least of all children, the greatest shall be
So turn not away from the poor and forgotten
And always remember, his favorites are these
Sprinkle some glitter on magazine angels
Use matchsticks and clothespins to build Bethlehem
Make the star in the East from a piece of tin foil
Look for the child within
Let Jesus be born again
The gifts that we bring unto loved ones and strangers
Also we bring to the babe in the manger
So come all ye faithfull, ye shepherds and kings
Look for the child within
Let Jesus be born again
We used to drink Bluenune there in room 321
Over the river where we weren't well known
Now it's two coffees then off to the office
Then back in the driveway and sitting at home
Sneaking around with me
Being tied down with me
Which one would you rather have?
(Be honest)
Dying to be with me, watching TV with me
Is this what we wanted so bad?
Well, I'd rather have what we had
We carefully planned it, what our hearts demanded
No more motel rooms, no more cheating lies
Now we're looking at it a neatly wrapped package
But open it up and there's no surprise
Sneaking around with me
Being tied down with me
Which one would you rather have?
(Be honest)
Dying to be with me, watching TV with me
Is this what we wanted so bad?
Well, I'd rather have what we had
Maybe a day will come
When you look into my eyes
And you won't see the love you saw before
Maybe a day will come
When the words you need to hear from me
Are gone with the closing of a door.
Chorus
But not in this lifetime
Not in this lifetime
It's too impossible to do
Not in this lifetime
Could this heart of mine
Be for anyone else but you
Maybe a night will come
You'll reach for me and find
That I'm just a stranger that you hardly know
Maybe a night will come
When all this love I'm feeling for you now
I won't feel anymore
Chorus
But not in this lifetime
Not in this lifetime
It's too impossible to do
Not in this lifetime
Could this heart of mine
Be for anyone else but you
There could never be a moment in my life
No, not a single minute
That didn't have you in it.
Not in this lifetime
Not in this lifetime
It's too impossible to do
No, not in this lifetime
Could this heart of mine
Be for anyone else but you
A little boy walks in with a bloody nose
got beat up on his way home from school...
again!
His dad caught him runnin out the back,
tears in his eyes and a baseball bat.
oohooh revenge!
Said "Son I won't stop you but before you go,
let me tell you a little story bout the
toughest man I know.
They hit Him and He just turned the other cheek
Don't think for a minute, He was weak
Cuz in the end, He showed them,
He was anything but frail...
They hammered Him to a cross
but He was tougher than nails.
Well he dropped that bat like it weighed a ton
father put his arms around his son and said.
just let it go...
Believe me I've been in your shoes
had to ask myself "What would Jesus do"
and here's what I know.
Whenever I'm in doubt I look up what He said
it's all there in the good Book
in black and white and red.
They hit Him and He just turned the other cheek
Don't think for a minute, He was weak
Cuz in the end, He showed them,
He was anything but frail...
They hammered Him to a cross
but He was tougher than nails!
Yeah in the end, He showed them
He was anything but frail,
They hammered Him to a cross
but He was tougher than nails!
tougher from nails!
Oh they say that you would hurt me
That you'd break this heart of mine
If that's what you've been doin'
Hurt me all the time
Hurt me all the time
I've been hearin' rumors
All over this town
You've got a reputation
For mowin' good man down
I've heard a lot of talkin'
That's what people do
I just don't believe it
I ain't seen that side of you
Oh they say that you would hurt me
That you'd break this heart of mine
If that's what you've been doin'
Hurt me all the time
Hurt me all the time
Somebody said they saw you
Down at the Midnite-Star
They said you had your arms around
Some fellow at the bar
Somebody must be jealous
Or just too blind to see
That someone you were huggin'
On just happened to be me
Oh they say that you would hurt me
That you'd break this heart of mine
If that's what you've been doin'
Hurt me all the time
Some people never love
Some keep a chain of withered hearts
Some leave a trail of lovers
Like old abandoned cars
Me, I've lit a thousand candles
Flame of hope at both ends
Waiting for someone who
Never did come back again
Said a prayer
And there was you
You lay your cool cross
across this blistered heart
You turned a light on
In a corner that's always been dark
You loved me when I was not kind
When my soul was fire and ice
You pointed out the diamonds
That only felt like stones to me
Said a prayer
And there was you
Be the last thing these eyes see
When I am called from this earth
Be the kiss that testifies
Louder than final words
Be the air I cling to when I leave
Then my final prayer will be
One more look, one more taste, one more breath
Some people count their money
Some people count their friends
Some just collect their tears
In pillows where all their dreams end
Moments are my silver
Days are my best companion
Years are sweeter than dreams
When every one is given
To a prayer, and you
Be the last thing these eyes see
When I am called from this earth
Be the kiss that testifies
Louder than final words
Be the air I cling to when I leave
Then my final prayer will be
One more look, one more taste, one more breath
We're gather in this room today to say our last goodbyes
Friends and kinfolks stayed away, it's down to you and I
It's just a simple service and much too late to say
Those tender words unspoken yesterday
Now don't our love look natural lying there?
You could almost expect it to get right up and care
It faded in its prime and died before its time
Now don't our love look natural lying there?
I know the day our love was born but I don't when it died
I think we could've save it but it seems nobody tried
And love like time could slip away and vanish with the dawn
And you can't bring it back, no, when it's gone
But don't our love look natural lying there?
You could almost expect it to get right up and care
It faded in its prime and die before its time
Now don't our love look natural lying there?
It faded in its prime and died before its time
Now don't our love look natural lying there?
My name ain't someone that they would know
But I lived here not that long ago
She told me that she loved this little frame house
So I saved up some money
and put a payment down
(chorus)
Right over there in that front porch swing
We held hands and we dreamed a dream or two
That sure looks like the same ol' door
Where I kissed her goodbye a thousand times before
Please, bring her back to me
I came lookin' for a feelin' but the feelin's gone
You can go back, but you can't go home
I wonder if they'd mind if I wandered around inside
I'm feelin' kinda low and it's been such a long long time
I'd like to get a good look at what our life used to be
But there's one bedroom I can't bear to see
(chorus)
It's where it started
Home, it's where the heart is
Home, is where I lost it
Home, it's so hard to find again
Right over there in that front porch swing
We held hands and we dreamed a dream or two
Underneath the moon
That sure looks like the same ol' door
Where I kissed her goodbye a thousand times before
Please, bring her back to me
I came lookin' for a feelin' but the feelin's gone
You can go back, but you can't go home
Everybody said you'd break my heart
Well they're right, your love's killing me
Dying feels so good so far
I won't fight I'll go willingly
But what a way to go girl
If I should die in your arms tonight
What a way to leave this world behind
I'll give my heart and soul ‘til there's nothing left
I'll lie right here and let you love me to death
What a way to go
What a way to go
I can feel the flame of love so strong
Blazing high, burning in your eyes
There's no turning back I'm too far gone
I can't stop, Heaven waits tonight
But what a way to go girl
If I should die in your arms tonight
What a way to leave this world behind
I'll give my heart and soul ‘til there's nothing left
I'll lie right here and let you love me to death
What a way to go
What a way to go
I'd give my heart and soul
I'm stoned on your love
Kick her off Earl, yeah
I don't need cigarettes or whiskey
I don't get a rush from caffeine
Ain't trippin' out on nothing
Not into that scene
But I wake up every morning
And I take a shot of her to love
It's a desperate habit if there ever was
She's the rock that I'm leaning on
(Ooh, ooh, ooh)
She's my holy Jones
(Holy Jones)
I got a thirst for her love, comin' on strong
She's my heart and soul addiction
(Ooh, ooh, ooh)
She's the only one
(My only one)
I'm never giving it up
I'm stayin' stoned on her love
(Stoned, stoned, stoned on her love)
L just can't live without it
I'm strung out and going insane
She's deep down in my bones
Pumpin' through my veins
She's the rock that I'm leaning on
(Ooh, ooh, ooh)
She's my holy Jones
(Holy Jones)
I got a thirst for her love, comin' on strong
She's my heart and soul addiction
(Ooh, ooh, ooh)
Yeah, she's the only one
(My only one)
I'm never giving it up
I'm stayin' stoned on her love
(Stoned, stoned, stoned on her love)
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Stoned, stoned, stoned on her love
She's my heart and soul addiction
(Ooh, ooh, ooh)
I'm staying stoned on her love
Hey, she's the rock that I'm leaning on
(Ooh, ooh, ooh)
Man, I'm staying stoned on her love
(I'm stoned, stoned, stoned on her love)
Yeah, I'm stoned on her love
(I'm stoned, stoned, stoned on her love)
Whoa, sweet baby, don't you know
That I'm stoned on your love
(I'm stoned, stoned, stoned on her love)
I put my beer down somewhere
I'll find it if I can
One thing that woman couldn't handle
Is an absent minded man
Now I'm sittin' here wonderin'
Where she is
When I'm the one that's lost
?...I just keep driftin' off
Chorus:
I got the startin over blues
You came home tired each day at 5: 15
I'd be waitin' in the drive
With a Rawlings glove, a ball cap and a fungo bat
I could count on you to hit some flies
You'd say, "Son, just keep your eye on the ball
Know when to duck and when to swing"
I guess you knew those rules you taught me then
I'd carry with me to this day
You made me what I am
You turned this little boy into a man
I count myself among the lucky
Knowing just how much you loved me
You'll always be my closest friend
You made me what I am
All decked out in a tux for the senior prom
You said, "Son I'm proud and gave me a grin"
Slipped me a twenty and the keys to the family car
A couldn't sleep a wink 'till I got in
At 21 I stepped out on my own
Can't count the times I slipped and fell
But you always kept your faith in me
Even when I had none in myself
You made me what I am
You turned this little boy into a man
I count myself among the lucky
Knowing just how much you loved me
You'll always be my closest friend
You made me what I am
I better go, it's almost dark
I've rambled long enough
I just came by to see the stone
And tell you, Dad, I miss you so much
You made me what I am
You turned this little boy into a man
I count myself among the lucky
Knowing just how much you loved me
You'll always be my closest friend
You made me what I am
Window seat 30, 000 feet above the ground
Blue moon beams on silver wings brings me down
Slipping off my coat for the long night flight
I find a note she wrote last night
I can almost hear those words as I close my eyes
Goodnight sweetheart sleep tight, wherever you are
God hold you in His arms, while we're apart
Though you're far away, your love will stay
Tucked away here in my heart
Goodnight sweetheart sleep tight, wherever you are
These days I leave the one who needs me more and more it seems
It's a high price that she pays for the dreams I dream
So goodnight sweetheart sleep tight, wherever you are
God hold you in His arms, while we're apart
Though you're far away, your love will stay
Tucked away here in my heart
Goodnight sweetheart sleep tight, wherever you are
Falling down the stair, gave me quiet a scare
Turned around to see if anybody saw
But no one's there 'cause you're not here
So no one cares and no one's waiting
When I come dragging home
So I don't until about two
It's hard to be me and not have you
It's hard to be me when half of me is gone
You are right, baby, half of half that's wrong
And every day I face the cold hard truth
It's hard to be me and not have you
It's hard to be me and not have you
Banging down the wall and neighbor down the hall
Yelling, "Turn down that radio, I'm gonna call the cops
And then you're gonna go to jail" but he don't understand
And every thing's changing, I think I'm gonna scream
But what would I say? I don't know what to do
It's hard to be me and not have you
It's hard to be me when half of me is gone
You are right, baby, half of half that's wrong
And every day I face the cold hard truth
It's hard to be me and not have you
It's hard to be me and not have you
Every day I face the cold hard truth
It's hard to be me and not have you
It's hard to be me and not have you
It's hard to be me and not have you
(Banging down the wall)
It's hard to be me and not have you
(Gave me quiet a scare)
It's hard to be me and not have you
(Neighbor down the hall)
It's hard to be me and not have you
(It's falling down the stairs)
It's hard to be me and not have you
(Banging down the wall)
Been doin' the math ever since you left
Pondering the properties of loneliness
Stacking your efforts right up against mine
You know I get the same answer every time
You take four hundred seventeen nights and days
A million and one promises made
Put them all together and you throw 'em away
You get zero
Nothing but zero
Oh, zero
Mmmmmmm...
I remember learning all of this back in school
I guess I never did apply it to me and you
So, I guess I'll be the one to carry the blame
Something times nothing always ends the same
You take four hundred seventeen nights and days
A million and one promises made
Put them all together and you throw 'em away
You get zero
Nothing but zero
Oh, zero
Mmmmmmm...
Every time I think of how hard you try
Baby, my blues just multiply...
You take four hundred seventeen nights and days
A million and one promises made
Put them all together and you throw 'em away
You get zero
Nothing but zero
A great big zero
The Day I left I told myself she's wrong
I'am better of gone... better of gone
I headed my old truck, in to the dawn
I'am better of gone... better of gone
If I'am better of gone
then why am I alone in the dark
If I made the right move
Then why am I so blue
and why can't I convince my heart
When my mind says better leave her alone
You're better of gone
I wonder should I call her on the phone.naw
I'am better of gone... better of gone
surely I can make it on my own
I'am better of gone... better of gone
If I'am better of gone
then why am I alone in the dark
If I made the right move
Then why am I so blue
and why can't I convince my heart
When my mind says better leave her alone
You're better of gone
If I made the right move
Then why am I so blue
and why can't I convince my heart
When my mind says better leave her alone
You were the ocean
I was the sand on the shore
Each time you touched me
You left me longing for more
But I knew I'd never hold you here
A fleeting moment was all we'd share
So why do I feel the way I do
Why is my time spent missing you
Why does it feel like I've lost
The only love I knew
When you were never mine to lose
It's not a possession
Passion it comes and goes
Just like the ocean
Hearts have their ebb and flow
And I know I can't turn the tide
I can't feed the sea once the river's dried
So why do I feel the way I do
Why is my time spent missing you
Why does it feel like I've lost
The only love I knew
When you were never mine to lose
Did I let the moonlight and your memory
Cast a spell on me
So why do I feel the way I do
Why is my time spent missing you
Why does it feel like I've lost
The only love I knew
Darkness falls. My tears fall like rain.
Blue whistle moans out your name.
Gathering spead, carrying pain.
Look out heart. Here comes that train.
Just like her its a runaway.
Out of controll drving me insane
Barreling down the tracks that my tears laid.
Look out heart. Here comes that train.
Hot burning coals of her memory
just feed the flame that builds the steam.
It drives those wheels right through my brain.
Look out heart. Here comes that train.
Well ever since I was a little bitty boy just listenin' to my heros sing
I knew someday if I could find a way I'd be doin' the very same thing.
Well dreams come true, Lord I know they do
And I can feel it down in my soul
You better make a little room at the top for a regular Joe.
CHORUS
Cause if you leave it up to me
I'm gonna be exactly what I've always been
The same old guy just havin' a good time, singin' for all my friends.
Well you'll hear me say 'till my dyin' day I'm the luckiest man I know
And anybody that knows me knows I'm just a regular Joe
Now old lady luck came lookin' for a lover and I reckon I'm her man
In the right place at the right time and suddenly here I am
When this train pulls out, well there ain't no doubt
I'm gonna ride her just as far as she goes
And at the end of the line you're gonna find I'm just a regular Joe
So crank up the sound and turn up the lights
Let's get this show on the road
Cause you're gonna party tonight with a regular Joe
Well I ain't afraid of dying, it's the thought of being dead
I wanna go on being me once my eulogy's been read
Don't spread my ashes out to sea, don't lay me down to rest
You can put my mind at ease if you fill my last request
Prop me up beside the jukebox if I die
Lord I wanna go to Heaven, but I don't wanna go tonight
Fill my boots up with sand, put a stiff drink in my hand
Prop me up beside the jukebox if I die
Just let my headstone be a neon sign
Just let it burn in memory of all of my good times
Fix me up with a mannequin, just remember I like blondes
I'll be the life of the party even when I'm dead and gone
Prop me up beside the jukebox if I die
Lord I wanna go to Heaven, but I don't wanna go tonight
Fill my boots up with sand, put a stiff drink in my hand
Prop me up beside the jukebox if I die
Just make your next selection
And while your still in line
You can pay your last respects
One quarter at a time
Prop me up beside the jukebox if I die
Lord I wanna go to Heaven, but I don't wanna go tonight
Fill my boots up with sand, put a stiff drink in my hand
Prop me up beside the jukebox if I die
Prop me up beside the jukebox if I die
Lord I wanna go to Heaven, but I don't wanna go tonight
Fill my boots up with sand, put a stiff drink in my hand
Prop me up beside the jukebox if I die
You could have kissed me like this wasn't gonna last
Kept me from sayin' something I'll never take back
You could have held me like there was no chance
Of me waking up where I am
You could have stopped short of every dream I've ever had
So help me girl, you've gone too far, it's way too late to save my heart
The way it feels each time we touch I know I've never been so loved
And I can't help myself, so help me girl
You had to be there when that old sun came up
Makin' last night feel like a vision of things yet to come
You just had to hold me like nobody else
Now look what you've gone and done
You had to love me till I just can't get enough
So help me girl, you've gone too far, it's way too late to save my heart
The way it feels each time we touch I know I've never been so loved
And I can't help myself, so help me girl
You've gone too far it's way too late to save my heart
The way it feels each time we touch I know I've never been so loved
And I can't help myself, so help me girl
Whoa, she's a hot one
It's a hot day, and I've got a pocketful of money
Friday, tires roarin', you can hear me comin'
Cooler in the back, Bud Light ice cold
Me and my buddies cuttin' down an old back road
I got a jacked up truck, but it ain't much
A fixer upper with a brand new clutch
Yeah, it takes me anywhere I wanna go even though
It's hard for me to keep my eyes on the road
But that girl ridin' in the shotgun
Sunkissed by the Dixie hot sun
Whoa, she's a hot one, yeah
Aldean all up on the radio
Dashboard lights shinin' on my baby, oh
Later on, gonna have me a little fun
With that girl ridin' shotgun, yeah
Whoa, girl ridin' shotgun
She's the girl of my dreams, she gives me everything
Wearin' short shorts or some tight blue jeans
She's country, and she ain't afraid to break a nail
Raise hell, or go to jail, I keep her by my side
She's always ready to ride, and sometimes
She even drives when it's in four wheel drive
Never known to back down from anything
And you know she keeps her motor clean, yeah
That girl ridin' shotgun
Sunkissed by the Dixie hot sun
Whoa, she's a hot one, yeah
Aldean all up on the radio
Dashboard lights shinin' on my baby, oh
Later on, gonna have me a little fun
With that girl ridin' shotgun, yeah
Whoa, girl ridin' shotgun
She could be the centerfold of "Field and Stream"
Holdin' that double barrel twelve gauge
To me, nothin' sweeter than a Georgia peach
Playin' air guitar to a song I sang, a song I sang
Talkin' 'bout
That pretty little redneck girl ridin' shotgun
Sunkissed by the Dixie hot sun
Whoa, she's a hot one, yeah
Aldean all up on the radio
Dashboard lights shinin' on my baby, oh
Later on, gonna have me a little fun
With that girl ridin' shotgun, yeah
Whoa, girl ridin' shotgun
Turn out the lights
We just need the lights from the tree
The kids are in bed
Baby it? s just you and me
Side by side, the fire is bright, on this oh so blessed night
The gifts lying there
Cannot compare to the love you give
Sealed with a kiss
For as long as I live
Ribbons and bows, could never show, all that I want you know
I want to take you in my arms tonight
And keep the fire burning bright
? Cause if the best things in life are free
There? s nothing you could buy for me
Your presence is enough
Wrap me in your love
Look into the night
There? s a star in the sky that I see
It? s come so far
To shine its light for you and me
As if it know, I? m holding you close, underneath the mistletoe
I want to take you in my arms tonight
And keep the fire burning bright
? Cause if the best things in life are free
There? s nothing you could buy for me
Your presence is enough
Wrap me in your love
Your presence is enough
The house next door just came up for sale
She's goin' home to Mama she says, "He can go to hell."
The couple down the block are splittin' up, I hear
There the third one's on our street this year
It's just another day in Anytown, USA
Somebody's hurt, somebody's blue, somebody moves away
What little they do to make it work don't seem to do much good
When love moves out, there goes the neighborhood
First, they take off their wedding bands
They call it quits then call the moving vans
He takes his and she takes hers
And what's left over gets left out on the curb
It's just another day in Anytown, USA
Somebody's hurt, somebody's blue, somebody moves away
What little they do to make it work don't seem to do much good
When love moves out, there goes the neighborhood
It's just another day in Anytown, USA
Somebody's hurt, somebody's blue, somebody moves away
What little they do to make it work don't seem to do much good
When love moves out, there goes the neighborhood
She took the keys
She took the car
Took my love
And she broke my heart
Poor me
Poor me
Poor me another
Down with the blues
Age old infection
Learning to live
With her rejection
Poor me
Poor me
Poor me another
Yea once I held her in the palm of the hand
Holding this empty glass
But just like her but it
It's all gone
It don't last
You know nothing lasts
I try real hard to forget her
It ain't no use
I should know better
Poor me
Poor me
Poor me another
Yea once I held her in the palm of the hand
Holding this empty glass
But just like her but it
It's all gone
It don't last
You know nothing lasts
Ohh bartender fill it up
Let me drown
In these tears of love
Poor me
Poor me
Poor me another
I said
Poor me
Poor me
Oh, the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
It doesn't show signs of stopping
And I brought some corn for popping
The lights are turned way down low
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
When we finally say good night
How I hate going out in the storm
But if you really hold me tight
All the way home I'll be warm
The fire is slowly dying
My dear, we're still goodbying
As long as you love me so
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
Let it snow, let it snow
When we finally say good night
How I hate going out in the storm
But if you really hold me tight
All the way home I'll be warm
The fire is slowly dying
My dear, we're still goodbying
As long as you love me so
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
With a dozen roses in his gunrack
Junior pulled up into her sidelot
Carried them up to the front door and hollered,
"Wanda, lookit what I got!"
She was sittin there watchin TV
with a drywall hanger named Shorty
She pressed her nose to the screen door and said,
"They smell like WD40"
He said, "Now don't you be that way,
you know how much I love you
I can't hardly sleep at night and when I do
I dream of you.
And by the way Shorty I thank you
You could've had them put me in jail, Son
I'm just glad I run out of air hose
When I come at you with that nail gun."
Oh Junior's in love, ain't that a good one?
He'll track her down and then if she should run
He'll bring her home like a deer on the hood, Son
Junior's in love
Wanda walked down the front steps and said,
"I hate to break up the party,
But I've got to get to work by 5,
would you run me over there, Shorty?"
That's when Junior turned bright red and said,
"I'm taking her to the diner!"
and he threw Shorty in the truck bed
with a busted nose and a shiner
Oh Junior's in love, ain't that a hot one?
There's lots of lovers and Junior he's not one
Don't know a kiss from a hug from a shotgun
Junior's in love
Oh you know there's an old puddle down by the diner
and it came out of his transmission
That's where he parks every night and stares through the window
In a lovesick and sorry condition
Oh Junior's in love, ain't that a good one?
He'll track her down and then if she should run
He'll bring her home like a deer on the hood, Son
Junior's in love
I never did good in school
I was a rebal at heart
While everybody was makin' the grade
I was getting up to no good to an art
But then you came along
And baby there I went
Darlin' with a kiss all of that english
Finally started makin' sense
You got me feelin' so good
It's more better the I thought it would be
Girl you taught me things that I never learned in school
I'm in love with a capital U
I always hated math
It never did add up
Everttime the teacher said,"Pi R square"
All that I could think about was goin' to lunch
Science and history they only wore me out
Oh but darlin' since we met
I finally found a subject I know a little something about
You got me feelin' so good
It's more better the I thought it would be
Girl you taught me things that I never learned in school
I wouldn't count the times we talked about tomorrow
I wouldn't sing the lines when someone played our song
On lonely nights like this when I need a friend
You'd be the last one I'd call if I had any pride left at all
I wouldn't keep a place just to set your picture
Oh, try to touch your face and feel you in my arms
An' I wouldn't be here now, parked outside your house
Not ashamed to crawl if I had any pride left at all
Only a fool would still be wearing this ring
Ringing your front doorbell
I wouldn't let my heart stay wrapped around your finger
An' I wouldn't fall apart as you open the door
Like all the other times when your eyes met mine
These teardrops wouldn't fall, oh if I had any pride left at all
You knew when you first met me
I was a good time kind of guy
You wanted me to change my ways
I told you that I'd try
Well I've gone from wild and crazy
to takin' out the trash
Girl it's time to comprimise
and give me a weekend pass
Chorus:
Well I can walk the line if it ain't too straight
I'll come home but it might be late
I ain't no devil but lord I ain't no saint
Let out the rope, girl give me some slack
this ol' dog will always come back
You gotta bend the rules and give me a break
Well I can walk the line if ain't too straight
Well I'll love you forever
If I can have a few days off
I'll buy you anything you want
If I can bear the cost
If I ain't gottta punch no clock, girl,
you can be the boss
I'll be your mister perfect
If you can overlook my flaws
Chorus
Yeah let out the rope girl,
give me some slack this ol' dog will always come back
Brand new shoes, they hurt my feet
This nech-tie is chokin' me
Cuttin' off my air supply
When I hang my head and cry
When I hang my head and cry
I see tears on daddy's face
Someone's hummin' Amazing Grace
Rain beats on this graveside tent
Preacher says he did repent
Preacher swears he did repent
They've got him layin' there in pin-stripes
How'd they get him in that suit
I guess the Lord will recognize him
Without his overalls and mule
They all say he looks so natural
All I see's a cold dark hole
I won't commit this day to memory
That ain't the grandpa that I know
That ain't the grandpa that I know
You know a tractor never pulled his plough
He walked and cursed and loved that ground
His hand sowed each single seed
And he'd pray for rain and fight the weeds
He'd pray for rain and fight the weeds
He said, this simple life, it suits me fine
Never dreamed beyond the county line
Grandma was his boyhood bride
He'll be back in her arms tonight
He'll sleep there in her arms tonight
They've got him layin' there in pin-stripes
How'd they get him in that suit
I guess the Lord will recognize him
Without his overalls and mule
They all say he looks so natural
All I see's a cold dark hole
I won't commit this day to memory
That ain't the grandpa that I know
They played a pretty organ number
Swore it was his favorite tune
But I know he preferred a fiddle
Playin' Carroll County Blues
They all say he looks so natural
But all I see's a cold dark hole
I won't commit this day to memory
That ain't the grandpa that I know
Here you come knockin' on my heart like a sledge hammer
Tearin' down these walls I built so high
I'm tryin' to hide the truth behind all this false glamour
But somehow the truth still shows up in my eyes
Got a smile painted on my face
Got my heartache locked away prayin' you won't see
Stayin' steady, stayin' strong
Actin' like there's nothin' wrong 'til you look at me
Won't win this fight I surrender
So turn another page of this pretender
Sometimes I think I put it all behind me and I'm finally healing
If you judge a book by it's cover then I'm alright
For a moment I find some piece of mind that my heart is stealing
Looks like I'm livin' it up but I'm dyin' down deep inside
Oh yeah
Got a smile painted on my face
Got my heartache locked away prayin' you won't see
Stayin' steady, stayin' strong
Actin' like there's nothin' wrong 'til you look at me
Won't win this fight I surrender
So turn another page of this pretender
Won't win this fight I surrender
Mmm Mmm turn another page of this pretender
Pretender, still your pretender
Turn another page
Pretender, still your pretender
I'm livin' a lie I can't deny it
Pretender, still your pretender
It's never ending, I'm always pretending
A little Miss Dynamite just blew my world away.
It was a pitiful sight, me begging her to stay.
I never had a hunch, so how was I to know
That she packed a punch that knocked my heart out cold?
She put a hurtin' on this old cowboy,
Broke my heart like a little play toy,
Brought me to my knees from ten feet tall.
The night she left me in Amarillo
I cried crocodile tears in my pillow.
The bigger they are, the harder they fall.
How could a blue-eyed beauty only five-foot-three
Lay a Texas size heartache on me?
She came across so cool I didn't think that I'd get burned.
Now I'm a big ol' fool with a leaving lesson learned.
I thought I was strong like old Hercules,
But she proved me wrong with her little c'est la vie!
How could a blue-eyed beauty only five-foot-three
I could show you where I stood today
Had my doubts, packed my clothes, I was on my way
Right here on this spot was as far as I got
I couldn't make it from here on out
Lord, it felt like my shoes were nailed to the floor
Had to hold to that old chair when I opened the door
I got a breathtaking view of my life without you
And I couldn't make it from here on out
From here on out, I'm gonna know
What I have and just how close
I was to leaving what I'll need most
From here on out
Your sweet love turned me around
Now every precious moment counts
Oh, how I'm gonna love you
From here on out
One by one I retraced
Every step I'd made
And carefully put everything back in its place
From here on out, I'm gonna know
What I have and just how close
I was to leaving what I'll need most
From here on out
Your sweet love turned me around
Now every precious moment counts
Oh, how I'm gonna love you
Silent night
Holy night
All is calm
All is bright
? Round yon virgin
Mother and child
Holy infant
So tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace
Silent night
Holy night
Son of God
Love's pure light
Radiant beams
From thy holy face
With the dawn
Of redeeming grace
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth.
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth.
O holy night
The stars are brightly shining
It is the night of
Our dear Saviour's birth
Long lay the world
In sin and error pining
Till He appeared
And the soul felt its worth
The thrill of hope
The weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks
A new and glorious morn
Fall on your knees
Oh, hear the angel voices
Oh, night divine
Oh, night when Christ was born
Oh, night divine
Oh, night, O holy night
The thrill of hope
The weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks
A new and glorious morn
Fall on your knees
Oh, hear the angel voices
Oh, night divine
Oh, night when Christ was born
Oh, night divine
Oh, night, O holy night
O holy night
The stars are brightly shining
It is the night of
Our dear Saviour's birth
Long lay the world
In sin and error pining
Till He appeared
And the soul felt its worth
The thrill of hope
The weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks
A new and glorious morn
Fall on your knees
Oh, hear the angel voices
Oh, night divine
Oh, night when Christ was born
Oh, night divine
I'm used to havin' my breakfast in bed
Never have to lift a finger to butter my bread
I keep my baby satisfied if you know what I mean
'Cause she told me I'm walkin' talkin' love machine
Lord, I got the self assurance of a king on a throne
Cause she told me that she'd love me 'til the cows came home
The cows came home
The cows came home
I heard somethin' mooin'
Turned around and she was gone
Lord have mercy, the cows came home
The whole herd showed up when they heard she'd gone
But I guess it's better than bein' alone
Well the slammin' of the door is like a pie in the face
But I got enough milk for the human race
I didn't have to clue that there was anything wrong
'Cause she told me that she'd love me 'til the cows came home
The cows came home
The cows came home
I heard somethin' mooin'
Turned around and she was gone
Lord have mercy, the cows came home
I didn't see the writing on the wall
Missed the invitation to the bovine ball
I didn't hear no cowbells ringin'
Gonna have to face the music that the fat lady's singin'
The cows came home
The cows came home
I heard somethin' mooin'
Turned around and she was gone
[Kangol]
Yo EMD
[EMD]
Yeah, what's up man?
[Kangol]
There goes that girl they call Roxanne. She's all stuck up
[EMD]
Why you say that?
[Kangol]
Cause she wouldn't give a guy like me no rap
She was walking down the street so I said "Hello
I'm Kangol from UTFO." And she said "So?"
And I said "So?!? Baby don't you know?
I can sing, rap, and dance in just one show
Cause I'm Kangol, Mr. Sophisticata
As far as I'm concerned ain't nobody greater
From beginning to end and, to beginning
I never lose because I'm all about winning
But if I were to lose, I wouldn't be upset
Cause I'm not a gambler, I don't bet
I don't be in no casino, and baby while you knizzow
The izzi is the grizzeat Kizzangizzo."
I thought she'd be impress by my devious rap
I thought I had her caught cause I'm a sinister trap
I thought it'd be a piece of cake but it was nothing like that
I guess that's what I get for thinking, ain't that right, black?
Then crizzi to gizzone and seen number izzone
Crizzin ricking tizza of mizzac mic dizza
With the bang bang, brother I feel bad
But I ain't comitting suicide for no crab
But calling her a crab is just a figure of speech
Cause she's an apple, a pear, a plum, and a peach
I thought I had it in the palm of my hand
But man oh man, if I was grand I'd bang Roxanne
[Chorus:]
Roxanne, Roxanne, can't you understand?
Roxanne, Roxanne, I wanna be your man
[EMD]
You Kango, I don't think that you're dense
Buy you went about the matter with no experience
You should know, she doesn't need a guy like you
She needs a guy like me, with a high IQ
And she'll take to my rap, cause my rap's the best
The educated rapper MD will never fess
So when I met her, I wasted no time
But stuck up Roxanne paid me no mind
She thought my name was Barry, I told her it was Gary
She said she didn't like it so she chose to call me Barry
She said she'd love to marry, my baby she would carry
And if she had a baby, she'd name the baby Harry
Her mother's name is Baby, which is really quite contrary
Her face is really hairy, and you can say it's scary
So isn't not every, her father's a fairy
His job is secondary, in some military
He throws them to an ?electric camp? that wasn't voluntary
His daughter's name is Sherry, his sons are Tom and Jerry
Jerry had the flu but it was only temporary
Back in January, or was it February?
But everytime I say this rhyme it makes me kinda weary
It's only customary to give this commentary
Some say it's bad, some say it's legendary
You can search all you want, try your local library
You'll never find a rhyme like this in any dictionary
But do you know, after all that
All I received was a pat on the back
That's what you get, it happened to me
Ain't that right Mixmaster I-C-E
Chorus
[Kangol]
You thought you had a rose, you thought you was Cupid
But EMD, your rap was plain stupid
I know you're educated, but when will you learn?
Not all girls want to be involved with bookworms
You gotta be strong in a way she can't resist
So educated rapper, huh, bust this...
Since she's a new girl on the block
I had to let her know that I'm the debonoir Doc
I said "I'd like to speak to you if I can
And if I'm correct your name is Roxanne."
She said "How'd you know my name?" I said "It's getting around.
Right now baby you're the talk of the town
Please let me walk you to the corner, my rap will be brief."
She said "I've seen you before, you look like a thief."
I said "Me? The Doc? A hood, a rock?
Running around the street robbing people on the block?
Nah, that's not my style, that crime I'm not related
As far as I'm concerned I'm too sophisticated."
Then it seemed I got busy cause she cracked a smile
That let me know my rap was worth her while
She said "You call yourself a doctor?" I said "This is true."
She said "Explain to me really what doctors must do."
I said "This is very rare because I don't say this every day
There's a million medical skills a doctor displays
Dermatology is treatment of the skin
Infected and you'll see me and you'll know you're again
There's enthesiology, opthomology
Internal medicine and plastic surgery
Orpedic surgery and pathology
A disease involves a change of the body."
She said "Ooooh, that's very unique."
Gave me her number and kissed me on the cheek
She said she had to go but be back by 8
So to call her at 9 to arrange a date
[EMD]
Did you take her to the beach?
[Kangol]
That's what we planned
But she stood me up, Roxanne, Roxanne
Chorus
[Kangol]
And here's our gameplan
[EMD]
The beat is here, so we will reveal it
[Kangol & EMD]
And if you think it's soft, then Roxanne feel it!
Ya cold wanna be with me
[CHORUS]
Hey girl, you wanna be with me?
Because I need someone to be with, someone to talk to
You cold wanna be with me
Because you need someone to be with, someone to talk to
You wanna be with me?
Because I need someone to be with, someone to talk to
You cold wanna be with me
Because you need someone to be with, someone to talk to
[Doctor Ice]
Because the way I live nowadays
People are different, they act real funny towards me
They say, I think, I'm nice
Why, because I'm makin records? But I'm still the same Doctor Ice
[Educated Rapper]
The same with me, they make me laugh
People gettin jealous (cause we be signin autographs)
I try to figure it out, no doubt
(But the way things are goin) I'm ready to jet out
[Kangol Kid]
Word, gettin a girl is hard, it ain't funny
Kangol don't know if she want me or my money
So I'm bein picky, cause I ain't sure
And I'm livin a life you might call insecure
[Doctor Ice]
I want a nice individualistic that's not materialistic
Not bein egotistic, ???I decide consentualistic???
The body artistic, a little bit of lipstick
Those the type of girls that make the Doc lovesick
[Kangol Kid]
Well, I'm definitely a lover, hard when I'm undercover
I'll do kinky things to you if you swear not to tell your mother
I'll push, but I won't shove ya, as long as I'm above ya
When I leave just promise me, "Kangol ???? I love ya"
[Educated Rapper]
I want a girl with action, 'control' like Janet Jackson
I hate the dark, I'm on the light so I can see reaction
Against all relaxin, prepare for steady waxin
When you leave you must pay E - for what? - satisfaction
[CHORUS]
[Doctor Ice]
Tired of these girls tryin to play the role
Everytime I see em, they're on a stroll
Teasin the fellas, wearin tight pants
Leadin us on after a slow dance
But in search of love that's how I'm livin
I want a girl to give me the same thing that I am givin
To her, from now till the day I depart
But she's got to be a redbone, a beautiful work of art
That is the way this pisces views
Like Gigi Williams on the Eye-Witness News
I hate a girl that knows every guy
Before you introduce, he already says hi
I feel like punchin her dead in the grill
But that's ill, so Doc just chills
Cause if it's meant to happen, that's how it'll be
Sooner or later you'll cold be with me
[Educated Rapper]
She wants to be with me and I know this for sure
I can tell as soon as she walks through the door
Swings and sways and shakes her stuff like Jello
Waitin for EMD to say hello
Skin-tight clothing with everything left hangin
And all the boys admit that she's well worth bangin
She only talks the talk, never walks the walk
She must be the most ???? up in all New York
Acts like an angel, pretends that she's a saint
A least that's the pretty picture she would love to paint
She's extraordinary, definitely rare
And anyway you want me, baby, I'll be there
I make you feel ??protect??, fill you with bliss
??Send a chill up?? your body with just one kiss
But if you don't show, I won't be stunned
Give your mother my number, I know she'll come
[CHORUS]
[Kangol Kid]
I want a girl that'll turn me on
When I say 'go', I wanna hear her say 'gone'
When I say 'leave', I wanna hear her say 'left'
And if I say 'was it good', she better say 'def'
Cause that's the kinda girl that I am lookin for
I really don't think there are anymore
But if one appears one day
I walk up to her and gently say
[starts singing]
I've been starin at you a while
And everytime you see me starin you crack a smile
You cold wanna be with me, it's true
If you didn't, I wouldn't be next to you
So please stop perpetrating
Girl, I'm tired of waiting
For you to hurry up and make your so-called move
That you been talkin about makin, girl, show and prove
There's really no need to talk about it
You know what I want, so what about it?
We can either go fast or slow
Cause I'll be in and out before you know
You say you're resisting
But yet you're still kissing
Everybody know that I been wantin you to kiss
Hey girl, here's a spot you missed
Get down, get down
Pull your panties down
All I wanna do
(Is put my) uh-uh-uh in you
(Come on girls and let's)
Get down, get down
Pull your panties down
Cause all I wanna do
Is get down
[Kangol Kid]
I got a filthy mouth I know, but I mean well and this I swear
I forgot to mention, it's good intention all inside of here
I see a future for the two of us, so let's not waste no time
If time is fit I get fire lit and I cold make you mine
And make ya
Get down, get down
Pull your panties down
All I wanna do
(Is put my) uh-uh-uh in you
(Come on girl and let's)
Get down, get down
Pull your panties down
Cause all I wanna do
Is get down
[Doctor Ice]
You the girls love to make us guys sweat and beggin, there's no doubt
You make life a bitch and I swear I wish you girls would cut it out
Some women are timid and some are hot
Some give it all up and some do not
Some give it at will and some we force
Employees, meet your new boss
Punch it and
Get down, get down
(Tonight!)
Pull your panties down
(Right!)
All I wanna do
(Is put my) uh-uh-uh in you
(Come on girl and let's)
Get down, get down
(Huh!)
Pull your panties down
(Aah!)
All I wanna do
Is get down
Soundin, soundin kinda funky
Soundin, soundin kinda funky
Soundin, soundin kinda funky
Soundin, soundin kinda funky

That you ain't gettin down
Don't let no one tell me, tell me

(Is put my) uh-uh-uh in you
(Now come on girls and let's)

[Educated Rapper]
Visa/Mastercard accepted, I will charge you but so much
I take IOU's, and that includes a head charge if you touch
You girls rub yourself all over me make me, rise in nature too
You say yes and no and then I go home with my balls all blue

Get down, get down
And pull your panties down

(Is put my) uh-uh-uh in you
(Come on girls and let's)
Get down, get down
And pull your panties down
Cause all I wanna do
[Kangol]
Yo EMD
(This is far out)
Drop it
Yeah
Dissin all you Robidog deejays that suck
And I ain't gotta call no names
[VERSE 1: Mixmaster Ice]
My name is Mixmaster, battle me if you're able
But for now I'm just chillin and yo, I stay stable
One day I react and then it's slow like radiation
Cause suckers bite my cuts, they keep tracin
Me, fraudulatin, then pretend to be the best
I got hands like bombs and they inflict death
My complexion is cream, my ego won't break
And I don't get conceited to the point where my head inflates
So if you wanna battle me, don't get sloppy
Cause when I start cuttin - yo, you better stop me
(Wack DJ's, he cut the mess out of you)
[VERSE 2: Mixmaster Ice]
It's somethin about my tactic that makes my scratch kick
A lotta disc jockeys bluff but I react quick
Stay nimble, win battles by landslides
Can do a cut better than you with my hands tied
Behind my back, so hold your breath in
I'm expellin a rhyme within a fraction of a second
Jack of all trades, so label me a veteran
You know my crew by the UTFO lettering
My voice box interlocks on any intercom
I only cut to build the biceps on my arm
My name is Mixmaster, deejays be aware
Because I treat my turntables like car ware
And if you wanna battle me from lack of respect
Ts.. balls - my cut is correct
[scratches]
[VERSE 3: Mixmaster Ice]
The M-i-x has a quick reflex
It's like a hologram picture, the plot on the set
I'm not a misfit and yo my cuts get better
Label me awesome, the critics all sever
Me from a amateuristic opponent
You wanna battle me? Ha-ha, postpone it!
You can't make what I innovate
The indicator will break if you record me on tape
And yo, I get with it, keep the needle on the pivot
Leader of the Pack, this title I fit it
Jack of all trades but cuttin is my hobby
So listen to the property, the structure and the body
And if you wanna battle me from lack of respect
Ha.. balls - my cut is correct
[scratches]
[VERSE 4: Mixmaster Ice]
I can take a record apart, then put it back together
I'm clever - never, ever
Lost to any cause, cause it's vital
Practiced and rehearsed to keep this title
I won't be categorized as mediocre
Temper with your psychee and then provoke ya
Runnin off your mouth and talkin crap to me
Is like puttin your dome between a guillotine
It's been that way since block-partyin
I mesmerize your mind, then work your body and
No time for profilin or ladi-dadi-in
This was predetermined since kindergartian
I'll put my 12's in a museum
So fools like you will pay to come see em
And if you wanna battle me from lack of respect
Balls, baby - my cut is correct
[scratches]
My cut is correct
I guess I'm gonna have to just
(Sign em up, s-s-sign em up)
Yeah
(Sign em up, sign em up, sign em up)
(Sign em up, s-s-sign em up, sign em up)
Sign em all up like children
(Sign em up, s-s-sign em up
Sign em up, sign em up, sign em up
Sign em up, s-s-sign em up, sign em up)
[scratches similar to morse code]
Yeah, morse code scratch in effect
UTFO style
