Plot
In 1964, a brash new pro boxer, fresh from his olympic gold medal victory, explodes on to the scene, Cassius Clay. Bold and outspoken, he cuts an entirely new image for African Americans in sport with his proud public self confidence with his unapologetic belief that he is the greatest boxer of all time. To his credit, he sets out to prove that with his highly agile and forceful style soon making him a formidable boxer who soon claims the heavyweight championship. His personal life is no less noteworthy with his allegiance to the Nation of Islam, his friendship with the controversial Malcolm X and his abandonment of his slave name in favour of Muhammad Ali stirring up controversy. Yet, at the top of his game, both Ali's personal and professional lives face the ultimate test with the military draft rules are changed, making him eligible for military induction during the Vietnam War. Despite the fact that he could easily agree to a sweetheart deal that would have meant an easy tour of duty for himself, Ali refuses to submit on principle to cooperate in an unjust war for a racist nation that treated his people so poorly. The cost of that stand is high as he finds himself unable to legally box in his own country while his case is contested in court. What follows is a battle for a man who would sacrifice so much for what he believes in and a comeback that would cement his legend as one of the great sports figures of all time.

Plot
A revealing movie about the tumultuous life of Little Richard Penniman, whose groundbreaking music revolutionized rock and roll. Growing up a social misfit in poverty, Little Richard's passion, talent and flamboyance catapulted him into the limelight of rock music. His career was rocked by his homosexuality, his fundamental beliefs and the pervasive discrimination within the music industry. We go through his chart-topping years when he lived the quintessential Rock and Roll life, indulging in all-night orgies and the spiritual callings that pulled him in and out of the music industry. But as alcohol and drug addition plagued his career in the late 1960s, Little Richard makes the life-saving decision to return to his family. Through their love and strength, and Little Richard's resolve, he moves on in history to become one of the most memorable performers in rock and roll.

Little Richard: [after a bandmate complains of wearing sissy make-up] Being pretty ain't never bothered me. Ain't that right, Lucille?::Lucille: 'Bout the prettiest boy I've ever seen.::Little Richard: Now, sneaking in the back doors so the white folks don't see us till we're on stage, eating in a parking lot of some restaurant that I wouldn't even pay to eat at the counter at, now *that* bothers me. Being called a sissy?::[pause]::Little Richard: You look-a here! Them white kids, they're dancing to *our* music! Okay, they may have Pat Boone on their record player in case their parents walk in, but they got *my* record underneath their pillow. You know which show we're playing here? You know how many colors have played here? None! You know why? 'Cause they can't! I am the first! I am the only! So if you wanna call me a sissy, go ahead! Knock yourself out, boy! But you make sure you call me a rich sissy. And you do as I do, you all gonna be rich sissies, too. Now, where my eyeliner?
Little Richard: [improvising on the piano] A-wop-bop-a-loo-bop-a-good-hot-damn! Tutti frutti! Good booty! Tutti frutti! Good booty! Tutti frutti! Good booty! Tutti frutti! Good booty! Get in here!::Dorothy: Yes?::Bump Blackwell: Okay look, Richard, Dorothy is a lyricist. Alright, I want you to sing that song to her. Dorothy, I need you to write me a clean version of it in a half hour. Okay?::Dorothy: Okay, okay.::Little Richard: [Embarrassed to have to sing a dirty song to a lady] But Bump, that song has some terrible, terrible words!::Bump Blackwell: Oh trust me! She's heard it all.::Dorothy: It's true, I have.

Arthur Murray (April 4, 1895 – March 3, 1991) was a dance instructor and businessman, whose name is most often associated with the dance studio chain that bears his name.
His pupils include Eleanor Roosevelt, the Duke of Windsor, John D. Rockefeller Jr., Cornelius Vanderbilt Whitney, Barbara Hutton, Elizabeth Arden, Manuel L. Quezon, and Jack Dempsey. Television evangelist D. James Kennedy was one of the instructors of Murray's technique.
Arthur Murray was inducted into the National Museum of Dance C.V. Whitney Hall of Fame in 2007.
Arthur Murray was born in Galicia, Austria-Hungary in 1895 as Moses Teichmann. In August 1897, he was brought to America by his mother Sarah on the S.S. Friesland, and landed at Ellis Island. They settled in Ludlow Street, in the Lower East Side of Manhattan with his father, Abraham Teichmann.
Murray was shy as a child and self-conscious about his tall, lanky appearance. He wanted very much to be a part of the social activities that most of his friends enjoyed, particularly the dances, but was afraid to socialize with girls. At the age of 14, Joe Feigenbaum, a friend of his whom he admired because of his popularity with girls, taught him his first dance steps. To get practice on the dance floor, Murray attended weddings in his neighborhood, where he found willing dance partners of every size and age.
I've heard them say love was a wonderful things
Something you couldn't hide on a shelf
But for me they no longer have to explain
Because I know for myself
He awakens each morn with a smile on his face
When a boy is in love
And the world to him is a beatiful place
When a boy is in love
He's up and he's gone
There's no breakfast for him
Cause he lives on the love of his sweet little gem
The days not through, though it's not very long
Before he must talk to his girl on the phone
That's how it is when a boy falls in love
His girl's voice on the phone brings him wondrous delight
When a boy is in love
If there's been any darkness, it all fades from sight
When a boys in love
He can hardly wait til the moment they meet
For he knows when he sees her his day will be complete
When they're finally alone and he kisses her lips
The world sings a love song and his heart turns a flip
That's how it is when a boy falls in love
At the end of the day the time comes they must part
The strings of regret tear away at his heart
And late in the night as he sleeps on his bed
Visions of her sweet song, how they dance in his head
And before you know he is buying a ring
To capture forever that sweet darling thing
That's how it is when a boy falls in love
That's how it is when a boy falls in love
Your my girl you're so sweet
Honey you can't be beat
I love you, I love you
Most of allI believe you can rock you can roll
You're so fine
Honey, you're mine,all mine
That's why I love you,
I love you
Most of all
Well, I love the way you move me
When you walk
I love the way you thrill me
When you talk and ooh baby when you hold my hand
Tell me pretty baby that you understand
When we walk down the street All the fellas go "Woo Wheee"
That's why I love you
I love you most of all
Chorus-
I love ya, I love ya,most of all
Well, and let me tell ya honey
You're my girl, you're just so sweet
Honey you can't be beat
I love you, I love you most of all
Well and I believe you can rock you can roll
you're so fine
Honey you're mine all mine
That's why I love you
I love you most of all
Let me tell you 'bout a place
Somewhere up-a New York way
Where the people are so gay
Twistin' the night away-ay
Here they have a lot of fun
Puttin' trouble on the run
Man, you find the old and young
Twistin' the night away
They're twistin', twistin', everybody's feelin' great
They're twistin', twistin', they're twistin' the night away
Here's a man in evenin' clothes
How he got here, I don't know, but
Man, you oughta see him go
Twistin' the night away-ay
He's dancin' with the chick in slacks
She's a-movin' up and back
Oh man, there ain't nothin' like
Twistin' the night away
They're twistin', twistin', everybody's feelin' great
They're twistin', twistin', they're twistin' the night away
Let's twist a while!
Lean up, lean back
Lean up, lean back
Watusi, now fly, now twist
They're twistin' the night away
Here's a fella in bluejeans
Dancin' with a older Queen
Who's dolled up in-a diamond rings and
Twistin' the night away-ay
Man, you oughta see her go
Twistin' to the rock and roll
Here you find the young and old
Twistin' the night away
They're twistin', twistin', man, everybody's feelin' great
They're twistin', twistin', they're twistin' the night away
One more time!
Lean up, lean back
Lean up, lean back
Watusi, now fly, now twist
They're twistin' the night away
I was dancin' with my darlin' to the Tennessee Waltz
When an old friend I happened to see
I introduced her to my loved one
And while they were dancin'
My friend stole my sweetheart from me
I remember the night and the Tennessee Waltz
Now I know just how much I have lost
Yes, I lost my little darlin' the night they were playing
The beautiful Tennessee Waltz
Whoa-oooo little girl
How happy I would be
If some miracle, could win your love for me
Whoa-ooo little girl
How happy I would be
If some miracle, could win your love for me
Win your love for me
Win your love for me
Whoa-ooo win your love for me
Manys the days I've longed for you
To hold you in my arms
Manys the night I've cried for you
And for your many charms
If you'd only come to me
My heart wouldn't be full of sorrow
But now all I can do is hope and prayThat you come to me tomorrow
To me you are so beautiful
You're beautiful as a song
And when ever I look at you
My heart beats like a tom tom
If you'd only come to me
This torch I wouldn't have to carry
And if everything goes right
To the church we'll go to marry
FOLKS SAID THAT YOU FOUND SOMEONE NEW
TO DO THE THINGS I USED TO DO FOR YOU
JUST CALL MY NAME, I'M NOT ASHAMED,
I'LL COME RUNNING BACK TO YOU
CAN'T SLEEP GOODNIGHT, I CAN'T EAT A BITE,
WHEN YOU WERE MINE I DIDN'T SWEET TO YOU RIGHT
JUST CALL MY NAME, I KNOW, I KNOW I'M NOT ASHAMED,I'LL COME RUNNING BACK TO YOU
JUST LIKE A KING, I'VE LOST EVERYTHING,I SIT ALL ALONE ON MY TRONE…
I'VE GOT MY PRIDE DEEP DOWN INSIDE,I'M YOURS, I'M YOURS ALONE
I TRY TO FORGET, HAD NO REGREATS,THIS LOVE ABOUT COULD ALWAYS START A-NEW
JUST CALL MY NAME, WOOH!, I KNOW I'M NOT ASHAMED
I'LL COME RUNNING BACK TO YOU
We're havin' a party
Dancin' to the music
Played by the DJ
On the radio
The Coke's out in the icebox
Popcorn's on the table
Me and my baby
We're out here on the floor
So Mr., Mr. DJ
Keep those records playin'
'Cause I'm a-havin' such a good time
Dancin' with my baby
Everybody's swingin'
Sally's doin' the twist now
If you take requests I've
Got a few for you
Play that song called "Soul Twist"Play that song called "I Know"
Don't forget "The Mashed Potatoes"
No other songs will do
So Mr., Mr. DJ...
We're havin' a party
Everybody's swingin'
Dancin' to the music
On the radio
Little Frankie went down to the barroom, she asked for a glass of beer
She said, "Hey, bartender, has my Johnny been here?"
"He's my man but he's done me wrong"
The bartender said "Frankie, ya know I won't tell ya no lie"
"He left here about a minute ago with a gal named Alice Fry"
"He's your man, but he's doin' you wrong"
Frankie was a good little woman, surely everybody knows
She paid one hundred dollars for Johnny's new suit of clothes
She loved her man but he done her wrong
Well then Frankie went down Broadway with a razor in her hand
She said "Stand back, all you women, I'm here for my cheatin' man"
"Yes, he's my man but he's done me wrong"
It was on a Friday mornin' about a ha'past nine o'clock
Frankie pulled her 44 and fired three fatal shots
She shot her man 'cause he done her wrong
(Why dontcha run, Frankie?) they said (Frankie why don't you run?)
'cause here come the Chief Of Police with the 44 smokeless gun
You killed your man, we know he done you wrong
SPOKEN while FADING
Yeah, he done you wrong, Frankie
You shoulda shot him forty times
I'm a witness, Frankie, I was there
When you shot that man I saw
Everybody loves to cha cha cha
Little children like to cha cha cha
They like to cha cha cha, they like to cha cha cha
Everybody likes to cha cha cha
Took my baby to the hop last night and what to my surprise
When we got there she hit me with the news
Right between the eyes, yeah
She said she couldn't do the cha cha cha
She said she couldn't do the cha cha cha
She couldn't cha cha cha, no, she couldn't cha cha cha
My baby couldn't do the cha cha cha
I told her not to worry
They'd play some other dance
But we sat there for an hour and a half
And we never got a chance
Every song they played was the cha cha cha
Every song they played was the cha cha cha
"Tom Dooley", cha cha cha, "Tea For Two", cha cha cha
Every number was the cha cha cha
I told her not to worry there's only one thing we can do
Baby, if you let me take you by the hand
I'm gonna teach this dance to you
Then, I told her one two, cha cha cha
One two, cha cha cha
And up now, baby and back now
That's right, turn now, alright let's cross now
I taught my baby how to cha cha cha
We kept on dancing
And was I surprised, for you see
After we practiced it for a little while
She was doing it better than me
Now my baby loves to do the cha cha cha
She loves to do the cha cha cha
She likes her, she likes to cha cha cha
Everybody likes to cha cha cha
They do it
One two, cha cha cha, alright
One two, cha cha cha
And up now, alright back now
Alright baby let's cross now and turn now
Whoa-oh-oh-oh
I was born by the river
In a little tent
And just like the river
I've been running ever since
It's been a long, long time coming
But I know a change gonna come
Oh, yes it is
It's been too hard living
But I'm afraid to die
I don't know what's up there beyond the sky
It's been a long, long time coming
But I know a change gonna come
Oh yes it will
Then I go to my brother
I say brother help me please
But he winds up knocking me
Back down on my knees
There's been times that I thought
I wouldn't last for long
But now I think I'm able to carry on
It's been a long, long time coming
But I know a change is gonna come
Oh, yes it will
If you ever change your mind
About leaving, leaving me behind
Please bring it to me
Bring your sweet lovin'
Bring it on home to me
Yeah (yeah) yeah (yeah) yeah (yeah)
I know I laughed when you left
But now I know I only hurt myself
Please bring it to me
Bring your sweet lovin'
Bring it on home to me
Yeah (yeah) yeah (yeah) yeah (yeah)
I'd give you jewelry and money too
That ain't all, that ain't all I'd do for you
If you'd bring it to me
Bring your sweet lovin'
Bring it on home to me
Yeah (yeah) yeah (yeah) yeah (yeah)
You know I'll always be your slave
Till I'm buried, buried in my grave
Please bring it to me
Bring your sweet lovin'
Bring it on home to me
Yeah (yeah) yeah (yeah) yeah (yeah)
I try to treat you right
But you stay out, stay out late at night
Please bring it to me
Bring your sweet lovin'
Bring it on home to me
Yeah (yeah) yeah (yeah) yeah (yeah)
Another Saturday Night and I ain't got nobody,
I have some money 'cause I just got paid.
How I wish I had someone to talk to,
I'm in an awful way.
I blew in town I week ago, I ain't seen a lotta girls since then.
If I could find 'em I could get 'em, but as yet I haven't met 'em,
That's why I'm in the shape I'm in Ohh
Another fella told me, he had a sister that looked so fine.
Instead of being my deliverance, she had a strong resemblance to a
Cat named Frankenstein
Chorus
It's hard for a fella, when he don't know his way around,
If I can't find me a honey to help me spend my money,
I'm gonna have to blow this town
Darling you send me
I know you send me
Darling you send me
Honest you do, Honest you do, Honest you do, whoa
You thrill me
I know you, you, you, you thrill me
Darling you, you, you, you thrill me, honest you do.
At first I thought it was infatuation but eww it’s lasted so long
Now I find myself wanting to marry you and take you home, whoa, whoa, whoa
You, you, you, send me
I know you send me
I know you send me
Honest you do
Whoa, whenever I’m with you
I know, I know I know when I’m near you
Mmmm hmmmm Honest you do, honest you do,
Whoa and oh, oh, oh
I know, I know, I know when you hold me
Whoa whenever you kiss me
Mmmm hmmm honest you do
At first I thought it was infatuation
But eww it’s lasted so long
Now I find myself wanting to marry you and take you home
I know, I know, I know
You send me
I kow you send me
Whoa, you, you , you send me
I gave my love a cherry that had no stone
I gave my love a chicken that had no bone
I gave my love a ring that had no end
I gave my love a baby with no cryin'
How can there be a cherry that has no stone?
How can there be a chicken that has no bone?
How can there be a ring that has no end?
How can there be a baby with no cryin'?
A cherry when it's bloomin', ain't got no stone
A chicken when it's pippin', ain't got no bone
A ring when it's rollin', it has no end
And oh, a baby when it's sleepin', there's no cryin'
Don't know much about history
Don't know much biology
Don't know much about a science book
Don't know much about the french I took
But I do know that I love you
And I know that if you love me too
What a wonderful world this would be
Don't know much about geography
Don't know much trigonometry
Don't know much about algebra
Don't know what a slide rule is for
But I do know that one and one is two
And if this one could be with you
What a wonderful world this would be
Now I don't claim to be an "A" student
But I'm trying to be
So maybe by being an "A" student baby
I can win your love for me
Don't know much about history
Don't know much biology
Don't know much about a science book
Don't know much about the french I took
But I do know that I love you
And I know that if you love me too
What a wonderful world this would be
La ta ta ta ta ta ta
(History)
Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
(Biology)
La ta ta ta ta ta ta
(Science book)
Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
(French I took)
But I do know that I love you
And I know that if you love me too
The moon belongs to everyone
Best things in life they're free
Stars belong to everyone
They cling there for you and for me
Flowers in spring
The robins that sings
The sunbeams that shine
They're yours and their mine
Love can come to everyone
Best things in life they're free
Moon belongs to everyone
The best things in life, they're free
Stars belong to everyone
They glitter there for you and for me
They are yours and me
Flowers in spring
The robins that sing
Sunbeams that shine
They're yours and their mine
Love can come to everyone
Best things in life they're free
All of the good things
Every one of the better things
The best, best things in life
Darling, I promise from this
Day forward, to go wherever you go
If you only tell me that you love me
That's all I need to know
You don't have to tell me 'bout your past life
About things you've done before
Oh my darling, just say you love me
That's all I need to know
I'll be your slave, your every crave
And wish is my command
But when I'm blue and lonely too
Be there to hold my hand
You don't have to tell me where
You came from, all I know is I love you
So, just say you love me
That's all I need to know
You don't have to tell me where
You came from, all I know is I love you
So, just say you love me
That's all I need to know
Why don't you say you love me?
Be nice to her whenever you can
And as you cross the street always hold her hand
And you'll find out
Tenderness goes a long, long way
So, smile at her when she does something wrong
Always be there to pick her up and make her strong
And you'll find out
Tenderness goes a long, long way
And oh, if you treat her kind, sometimes she'll be blind
To the wrong things that you might do
Oh, if you treat her good, oh, the way that you should
She'll see the goodness in you
So, be sweet to her and gentle too
And you'll find out
Oh, what that tenderness can do
You'll find out, you'll find out
Tenderness goes a long, long way
So, be kinda sweet to her, oh and be gentle too
You'll find out
What that, oh, what that tenderness can do
You'll find out, you'll find out, you'll find out
Honey, when he promised you that fur coat
A baby could have seen through that
Now you were the believer, he wasn't the deceiver
He was just talkin' trash
Now when he promised you the fur coat that day
He was just tryin' to make things go his way
And honey, you were the believer, he wasn't the deceiver
He was just talkin' trash
Listen to me
Now when I bought my car, the salesman
Told me it'll do a hundred fifty flat
I thought I had a hot potato but then I found out later
He was just talkin' trash
Baby, when I bought the car, I was willing to bet
I thought that it would run like a new Corvette
Well, I thought I had a hot potato but then I found out later
That he was just talkin' trash
Now this phrase was made for honest Abe's
Who can't live up to promises they made
Let me show you just how life is
When you tell someone about our chat
I'll bet a nickel to a dollar the first thing they will holler is
"He was just talkin' trash"
Baby, but I must admit that you're kinda cute
And it would be sorta nice to talk some trash to you
I'll bet a nickel to a dollar, the first thing they'll holler
Is Sam was just talkin' trash
Yeah, I'll bet a nickel to a dollar, the first thing they'll holler
Is he was just talkin' trash
Sugar dumpling, you're my baby
I love you in every way
Sugar dumpling, you're my baby
My love grows stronger everyday, yeah
Sugar dumpling, you're my baby
I love you in every way
(Sugar dumpling)
Sugar dumpling, you're my baby
My love grows stronger everyday
(Everyday)
Listen, while I tell you a story
A story about my girl
I call her sugar dumpling
Because she's the sweetest thing in this whole world
Oh, whenever I'm feeling bad
Right away she puts me to bed
And she hires two nurses, one to hold my hand
The other one to rub my head
Sugar dumpling, you're my baby
I love you in every way
(Sugar dumpling)
Sugar dumpling, you're my baby
My love grows stronger everyday
(Everyday)
Oh, whenever I tell her, "Honey I'm hungry"
Now go and fix me something to eat
This girl rushes in the kitchen and fixes me a dinner
With seven different kinds of meat
If I call her up at two o'clock in the morning
And say, "Come on over if you can"
Before I hang up the telephone, she's sitting beside me
With a cup of coffee in her hand
Sugar dumpling, you're my baby
I love you in every way
(Sugar dumpling)
Sugar dumpling, you're my baby
My love grows stronger everyday
(Sugar dumpling)
Sugar mommy, sugar dumpling, you're my baby
I love you in every way
(Sugar dumpling)
I love you, sugar dumpling
My love grows stronger everyday
(Sugar dumpling)
Sugar dumpling, I love you in every way
(Sugar dumpling)
Sugar dumpling, my love grows stronger everyday
Somebody have mercy
And tell me what is wrong with me
Somebody have mercy
And tell me what is wrong with me, yea
Sometimes I don't know how I stand
The things this woman do to me
Let me tell you
When I think about how she do me
The tears fall down like a rain, like a rain
When I think about how she do me
The tears fall down like a rain, like a rain
When I think I've got her chained down
She starts actin' up again
Well, oh, let me tell you
I'm goin' down to the bus station
With a suitcase in my hand, yes I am
I'm goin' down to the bus station
With a suitcase in my hand, yes I am
I'm gonna grab me a armful of Greyhound
And ride just as close I can
And do that thing for me now, yea
And yea yea yea yea yea yea yeah
Let me tell you one more time
Somebody have mercy
I wonder what is wrong with me, Lord have mercy
Somebody have mercy
I wonder what is wrong with me, yea
Sometimes I don't know how I stand
The things this woman do to me
Do that one more time while I tell 'em
I'm standin' here wonderin', baby
With a matchbox hole in my clothes, yes I am
Standin', wonderin', baby
With a matchbox hole in my clothes, yes I am
Ohh, I got a long way to get there
And I got a short time to go
Where to they go
Smoke rings I blow each night
Oh, where to they go
Those circles of blue and white
I wonder, why do they sing
To picture a dream above, above
Above, above, above
Then why do they fade
My phantom parade of love
Puff, puff, puff
Oh, you can puff your cares away
Puff, puff, puff
Night and day
Blow, blow them into air
Silky little rings
Oh, little smoke rings I love
Please take me above with you
One more thing I wanna know is
Where do they end
The smoke rings I send on a high
Where are they hurled
When they've kissed the world goodbye
Let me tell you that
I'd give my life to laugh at this strife
Below, below, below
Down here below, for I'd be a king
I'd follow each ring I blow
So little smoke rings I love
Ah ooo, ah ooo, ah ooo
I'm in a sad mood tonight
Oh I'm in a sad mood
I'm in a sad mood tonight
Oh my baby, done gone away an' left me
My baby done gone, yea
My baby done gone away an' left me
My baby done gone
I don't know why she left me
I don't know where she's gone
But all I'd know is I'll never be happy
Until my baby comes back home, yea because
I'm in a sad mood tonight
Oh my baby done gone away an' left me
My baby done gone
Oh I don't know why she left me
But there's one thing I know
I know that if my baby tells me she'll come back home
I'll never never do it no more, yea because
I'm in a sad mood tonight
An' oh I'm in a sad mood
I'm in a sad mood tonight
Oh my baby done gone away an' left me
My baby done gone, yea
My baby done gone away and left me
An' my baby done gone
I'm in a sad mood tonight
An oh I'm in a sad mood tonight
She got me in a sad mood tonight
An' with her gone I'm in a sad mood tonight
La, la, la
La, la, la
Lo, la, la, la
I'm so lonely tonight
If I could only hold you once more
If I could only kiss you once more
If I could only see you one more time
One more time
Things wouldn't be the way the are now
I'd make you see I loved you somehow
If I could only see you one more time
So please say you'll let me see you
Five minutes all alone
It's so hard to make you understand
Talking on the phone
I'd like you to know, I know, I was wrong
I'd like you to know my love is still strong
Jee, but I'd like to see you one more time
La, la, la
La, la, la
If I go
A million miles away
I'd write a letter
Each and every day
'Cuz honey nothin', nothin'
Can change this love I have for you
Make me weep
You can make me cry
See me comin'
And you can pass me by
But honey nothin', nothin'
Can change the love I have for you
You're the apple of my eye
You're cherry pie
And oh you're cake and ice cream
Oh you're sugar and spice
And everything nice
You're the girl of my, my, my, my dreams
If you wanted
To leave me and roam
When you got back
I'd just say "Welcome home"
'Cuz honey nothin', nothin'
Can change this love I have for you
I know that nothin', nothin'
I've got a girl and, man, she's, oh, so fine
Someday I'd like to make her mine, oh, mine
She's fine but she won't give me a chance
When I want to sweet talk
All she wants to do is dance
Let me tell you
She likes the movin' and a groovin'
Man, she likes the movin' and a groovin'
Rock in the night out and the day in
She likes the swishin' and the swayin'
Oh, she like the movin' and a grovin'
Watch her move, move, move, move
Ask her to a movie, just the other day
Try to make her relax, in a different way
It didn't pay, I didn't even stand a chance
She said, you go to movie
I think that I'd rather dance
She made it plain to me
She likes the movin' and a groovin'
She likes the movin and a groovin
Rock in the night out and the day in
She likes the swishin' and the swayin'
Man, she like the movin' and a groovin'
Watch her move, move, move, move
I've got the situation well in hand
I found out that if I'm going to be man
I've gotta be a man
If I'm gonna stand a chance
If I'm gonna make her my woman
I've just got to learn and dance
Now you wanna see me
I'm doing the movin' and a grovin'
I'm doing the movin' and a grovin'
We're rockin' the night out and the day in
We're doing the swishin' and the swayin'
I'm doing the movin' and a grovin'
Lovable, my girl
She's lovable
She's lovable, my girl
She's so lovable
Candy's sweet and honey, too
There's not another quite, quite as sweet as you
I know, I know, I know, I know I've always loved you
You're so lovable
Whoa, I know, I know she's
Yes she is, I know, I know, I know
I know she's lovable, oh, yes, she is
I know she's lovable, my, my, my
My girl is lovable, yes, she is
Whoa, love and fascination is her middle name
To my heart, a sensational feel she reigns
Whoa, whoa, I know, I know she's lovable
Whoa, I know, I know she's a, yes, she is
I know, I know, I know, I know
I know she's lovable, oh, yes, she is
I know she's lovable, lovable, lovable, lovable
And I know she's lovable, whoa, yes, she is
Whoa, she's just an angel, a sweet little angel to me
When I'm without her I know, I know, I know I'm in misery
I'm lost and a-lookin' for my baby
Wonder why my baby can't be found
I'm lost and a-lookin' for my baby
Lord knows my baby ain't around
So I'm lost and a-lookin' for my baby
Wonder why my baby can't be found
Lost and a-searching for my baby
Lord knows my baby ain't around
Crying for my baby, crying all alone
Calling for you, come home, come home
I'm lost and a-calling for my baby
Baby, won't you please come home
I'm lost and a-calling for my baby
Little girl
You're the one girl for me
Little girl
You're as sweet as can be
Just a glance at you meant
Love from the start
And oh, what a thrill came
Into my heart
Little girl
With your cute little ways
I am yours
For the rest of my days
And this great big world
Will be divine
Little girl
When you are mine, oh mine, yeah
And this great big world
Will be divine
Little girl
Laughin' and clownin'
Just to keep from cryin'
I'm laughin' and clownin'
Just to keep from cryin'
I keep on tryin' to hide the fact
I've got a worried mind
Let me tell you, being life of the party
Seemed to be my role
Since you left me, baby, being life of the party
Seemed to be my role
I keep on tryin' to hide my feelings
Trying to hide my soul
Let me tell you what I do, I stand in the doorway
Watchin' all the girls go through
You might not believe me, baby, but I stand in the doorway
Watchin' all the girls go through
I keep on tryin' to me find someone
To take my mind off you, tickle 'em for me
I keep on laughin' and clownin'
I was a wanderer
Far away from God
I had sorrow in my bosom
And my way was mighty hard
Then I heard that gospel story
How He came down from His throne in glory
He paid the debt
I know He paid the debt for you and me
He paid the debt, Jesus paid the debt
He paid the debt, He paid the debt
I know He paid the debt
He paid the, the debt for you and me
You know He's stretched out on a tree
And died on rugged Calvary
That's why I know
Jesus paid the debt for you and me
(Paul)
He paid the debt
Paid the debt
Paid the debt
Oh, yeah
Oh, it was
Jesus paid the debt a long time ago
You know they stretched Him on a tree
On rugged Calvary
Jesus paid the debt for you and me
Jesus paid the debt
For the [unverified]
Jesus paid the debt
It was Jesus He died way out on Cavalry
You know they stretched Him
On a tree on rugged Calvary
You know that Jesus, who paid
Whoa, it's all right, it's all right, it's all right
Honey it's all right
Long as I know, long as I know that you love me
Honey, it's all right
It's all right, it's all right, it's all right
Honey it's all right
Long as I know, long as I know that you love me
Baby, it's all right
All my friends tell me that you found somebody new
They report to me every little thing that you do
But long as you tell me that it's all untrue
Baby, it's all right
It's all right, it's all right, it's all right
Believe me when I say it's alright
Long as I know, long as I know that you love me
Baby, it's all right
One more thing I want you to know
If you're ever worried, if you're all alone
Just remember darling that I'm as near as your telephone
And if you need me, honey, all you got to do is to call me
Believe me, it's all right, it's all right, it's all right, it's all right
Honey, it's all right
Long as I know, long as I know that you love me
Baby, it's all right
Oh, help me to tell her one more time
It's all right, it's all right, it's all right, it's all right
Honey, long, long, long as I know
Well, you know I'm so glad
I know the trouble don't last always
Oh, I'm so glad
I know trouble don't last always
Lord, I'm, I'm so glad, Lord
I know that trouble don't last always, now
Oh my Lord, oh my Lord
I wanna know what shall I do
You better run, run oh sinner run
You better find you a hiding place
You better run, run sinner run
You better find you a hiding place
Oh run, run oh sinner run
You better find you a hiding place
Oh my Lord, yeah, Lord
What shall I do?
I'm so glad, I'm so glad, Lord
I know that trouble don't last always
Oh, I'm so glad
That hidden trouble is all soon go away
I'm so glad
I know that trouble don't last always now
Oh my Lord, oh my Lord
I wanna know
Well, I'm getting worried
What can I do? Getting tired, Lord
What can I do? I'm getting worried
What can I do?
You promised me Jesus
You'd be beside me
You promised me, Lord
You'd bring me out of trouble
You promised me, Lord
You'd be my friend now
You promised me, Lord
You'd stay right beside me
I'm so glad, so glad, Lord
I had a religion, Lord, anytime
Oh, so glad I got a religion and
I'm so glad, I'm so glad
I got a religion, Lord, anytime now
Oh my Lord, oh my Lord, I wanna know
Well, soon one morning, soon one morning
You know when death come creeping in my room
Oh, soon one morning, I'll be tried no, soon
Soon one morning
You know when death come creeping in my room, now
Oh, Lord, oh, Lord
I lost everything when I lost you
Now my heart is breaking in two
I found memories, what am I to do
Those memories keep on making me blue
The moon and the stars they don't seem the same
Love has lost its glory, to me it's just a game
No, I lost everything, my dreams are all through
My life is only make believe without you
Somebody knows when I am taunted
Somebody cares when things go wrong
Somebody's love is always there to guide you
And make you strong, oh Lord
Lord, I have a friend, He's above all others
His love is so far beyond brothers
Eternal life is yours to know Him
Savior divine, friend of mine
But Lord, I cannot tell how much I love Him
I cannot tell, all of my God's love for me
I only know cannot be measured
Deeper than the sea, Lord
Jesus alone can know my sadness
Jesus alone can bring me gladness
I'm filled with joy just because I know Him
Savior divine, friend of mine
But Lord, I have a friend above all others
Who's love is far beyond brothers
Eternal life, I know is yours to know Him
I've got a right to sing the blues
Got a right to moan and sigh
I've got a right to sit and cry
Down along the river
A certain girl in this old town
Keeps dragging my heart around
All I see for me is misery
I've got a right to sing the blues
Got a right to moan and sigh
I've got a right to sit and cry
Down along, along the river
Soon that deep blue sea
Is gonna be calling me
Call it love, say what you choose
I've got a right to sing the blues
I've got a right, got a right
Got a right to sing the blues
Got a right to moan and sigh
Got a right to sit and cry
Down along, along the river
Soon that, that, that deep blue sea
Is gonna be calling me
Call it love, say what you choose
I've got a right to sing the blues
The blues, the blues
I know the Lord will make a way for me
I know that my lord will from trouble, someday set me free
That's why I never will give up the fight
But I trust in Him to do whatever is right
For, oh, the Lord
He told me He would always make a way
Make a way, He'll make a way
For I am trusting in Your word
And my weakness make me strong
But I never will go wrong
No, if you leave me I'll be home
Someday, the Lord will make a way, I know You will
Whenever I'm in trouble, for I'm still trusting in your word
And my weakness makes me strong
But I never will go wrong
No, if you leave me I'll be home
Someday, the Lord will make a way, I know you will
Frankie and Johnny were sweethearts
At least, that's the way the story goes
Frankie bought everything for Johnny
From his sports car to his Ivy League clothes
Oh, he was a man alright
Oh, but he was doing a wrong
Just to show you what can happen
A friend came running to Frankie
Said, "You know I wouldn't tell you no lie
I saw your man riding in his Jaguar
With a chick named Mary Bley"
Oh and if he was your man honey
Let me tell you he was doing you wrong
Let me tell the story
Frankie ran around the corner
And peeped in a swinging place
And there she saw Johnny with a woman
He had his arm around her waist, oh he was a man alright
But Frankie could see that he was doing a wrong
And oh let me tell you, Frankie reached down in her pocketbook
And up with a long 44, she shot once, twice, three times
And Johnny fell on the hardwood floor
Oh he was a man alright
But she shot him because he was doing a-wrong
But the last thing he told her was
Frankie, you know I love you why?
Honey why did you do that?
Frankie, I was telling her about you
Frankie, you know I love you
Frankie, you know that I love you
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah and now Frankie
Frankie you know good well that I love you
Frankie I'll always love you baby
Frankie, you know I can't do without you
Frankie, you know I love you
I'm your man and although I was doing you wrong
Wrong wrong let me tell you
Frankie baby you know I love you baby
If I could see your tender smile
And hold you close just a little while
I'd want this love to last forever
And if one day your trembling hands
Will touch my lips, I'll understand
And want this love to last forever
Why, why, why won't you tell me
Tell me the way you feel
Why, why, why
Why won't you hold me
And tell me that this love is real
If I look in your eyes and see
That you shared a tear for me
I'd want this love to last forever
But then, maybe I'll get tired of trying
To make you love me too
And then you'll want this love to last forever
Why, why, why won't you tell me
Tell me the way you feel
Why, why, why
Why won't you hold me
And tell me that this love is real
If I look in your eyes and see
That you shared a tear for me
I'd want this love to last forever
But then, maybe I'll get tired of trying
To make you love me too
I often think off the live I've led
And oh, it's a wonder, I ain't dead
Drinking and gambling, staying out all night
Living is a fool's paradise
My mother told me and my father told me too
Said my child, it's all catch up with you
Drinking and gambling, staying out all night
Living in a fool's paradise
Though I've learned my lesson
Like all fools I've met
Oh, I've learned things in this life
That I haven't forgotten yet
My father told me, my mother said it right
Said my son, you're ruining your life
Drinking and gambling, staying out all night
Living in a fool's paradise
There's a scandal in the neighborhood
And it's all about Julie brown
It seems a long lost cousin, Jeremiah
Had lately arrived in town
Now when Julie's fella came to call and saw them kissing
He started home at once
But Julie said, "I'm surprised at you
Don't go acting like a dunce"
Why? He's a cousin of mine, a cousin of mine
You're liable for to see him here any old time
He's a cousin of mine, a cousin of mine
Go on, he's a cousin of mine
Now when Julie had explained her relationship
He said, "Honey, that may be so"
But this fella don't look like a thirty-second cousin
That I met here a week ago
Julie smiled at him and joined her cousin, sad
And as they slowly walked away
He heard him ask, ?Who was that fella??
And he heard his Julie say
Why? He's a cousin of mine, a cousin of mine
You're liable for to see him here any old time
He's just a cousin of mine, a cousin of mine
Go on, he's a cousin of mine
Would I fool you?
Train with the lonely whistle
Blowing down the track
And oh, train with the lonely whistle
Blowing down the track
Come on and bring your precious cargo
Bring my baby back
Train, you're huffing and a-blowing
Because you work too fast
Listen to me, train, you're huffing and a-blowing
Because you work too fast
Don't you know that you've got to take it easy
If you wanna last
Listen to me, train
Take it nice and easy
When you go 'round them curves
Do that for me
Take it nice and easy
When you go 'round the curves
Now don't shake up my baby
And don't upset her nerves
Train, go on and blow your whistle
Blow it loud and strong
Train, go on and blow your whistle
Blow it loud and strong
'Cause I want the world to know
Ho ha ho ha
I hear somethin' sayin'
Ho ha ho ha
Ho ha ho ha
Well don't you know
That's the sound of the men
Workin' on the chain gang
That's the sound of the men
Workin' on the chain gang
All day long they're sayin'
Ho ha ho ha
Ho ha ho ha
Well don't you know
That's the sound of the men
Workin' on the chain gang
That's the sound of the men
Workin' on the chain gang
All day long they work so hard
Till the sun is going' down
Workin' on the highways and byways
And wearing, wearing a frown
You hear them moanin' their lives away
Then you hear somebody say
That's the sound of the men
Workin' on the chain gang
That's the sound of the men
Workin' on the chain gang
Can't hear them sayin'
Hmm, I'm goin' home one of these days
I'm goin' home
See my woman whom I love so dear
Meanwhile I have to work right here
Well don't you know
That's the sound of the men
Workin' on the chain gang
That's the sound of the men
Workin' on the chain gang
All day long they're sayin'
Hmm, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my work is so hard
Give me water I'm thirsty
My, my work is so hard
My, my, my, my, my, my, my work is so hard
One of these mornings
I'm going away any day now
I'm going to Heaven to stay
I don't know how soon
Maybe, morning, night or noon
But I'm going to see the Father
And by his side to stand
There'll be no sorrow, no sadness
Just only complete gladness but any day
I know that I, know that I am going home
That I'll shout Hallelujah
And give praises to his name, [Incomprehensible]
But any day, I know that I
I've got a rocking chair that rocks, a rubber ball that rolls
Oh, I need a whole lot of woman, yeah, to satisfy my soul
It takes a lot woman, yeah, to satisfy my soul
You know a boy needs a girl
She needs a ring that's made of gold
But I need a whole lot of woman, yeah, to satisfy my soul
It takes a lot woman, yeah, to satisfy my soul
Oh and I don't need no woman
I don't need her because she's fine
Oh, I need a girl, a sweet little thing
To love me all of the time
You know fire make things hot
And oh, and ice keep 'em cold
But I need a whole lot of woman, yeah, to, to satisfy my soul
It takes a lot woman, to satisfy my soul
Oh and I don't need no woman
I don't need her because she's fine
Oh, I need a girl, I need a sweet little thing
To love me all of the time
You know that fire make things hot
And the ice to keep 'em cold
And I need a whole lot of woman, yeah, to satisfy my soul
It takes a lot woman, yeah, to satisfy my soul
Satisfy, satisfy, I need a woman to satisfy
I need a woman to satisfy, I need a woman that satisfies
I need a woman to make me glad, oh, whenever I'm feeling sad
I need a woman to treat me right, and oh to love me both day and night
I wish somebody would come and ease my troublin' mind
I wish somebody would come and ease my troublin' mind, oh, yes, I do
Why won't somebody come and ease my troublin' mind?
I sure wish somebody would come and ease my troublin' mind
I wish my baby would come and tell me everything's alright
I sure wish my baby would come and tell me everything is still alright
Oh, yes, I do
They tell me when you tell somebody your troubles
Trouble fly away from you
I'm looking looking looking for somebody
I can tell my troubles to
Why won't somebody come and ease my troublin' mind?
I sure wish somebody would come and ease my troublin' mind
Feel it, feel it
Feel it, feel it
Baby when the band is playing
Oh and that solid beat
Oh, make you wanna move, make you wanna groove
Make you wanna pat your feet
Don't fight it, don't fight it, feel it
No, now when we dance close together
With your cheeck close to mine
And you begin to feel a funny little thrill
Moving up your spine
Don't fight it, don't fight it, feel it
Oh now, baby when the swinging music
Oh, makes you wanna flip
Oh, don't be in pain, trying to restrain
Go ahead and move your hips
Oh, baby when you're dancing near me
And I feel I wanna tease
Oh and when I do, the feeling gets you
When you feel you wanna squeeze
Don't fight it, don't fight it, just
Feel it, feel it, feel it
Oh now, baby
When the swinging music
Oh, make you wanna flip
Oh, don't be in pain, trying to restrain
Go ahead, shake them hips
Oh, baby when you're dancing near me
And I feel I wanna tease
Oh and when I do, the feeling gets you
When you feel you wanna squeeze
Don't fight it, don't fight it, just
I was dancin' with my darlin' to the Tennessee Waltz
When an old friend I happened to seeI introduced her to my loved one
And while they were dancin'My friend stole my sweetheart from me
I remember the night and the Tennessee WaltzNow I know just how much I have lost
Yes, I lost my little darlin' the night they were playing
The beautiful Tennessee Waltz
Cupid draw back your bow and let your arrow go
Straight to my lover's heart for me, for me
Cupid please hear my cry and let your arrow fly
Straight to my lover's heart for me
Now I don't mean to bother you but I'm in distress
There's danger of me losin' all of my happiness
For I love a girl who doesn't know I exist
And this you can fix
So Cupid draw back your bow and let your arrow go
Straight to my lover's heart for me, nobody but me
Cupid please hear my cry and let your arrow fly
Straight to my lover's heart for me
Now Cupid if your arrow make a love storm for me
I promise I will love her until eternity
I know between the two of us her heart we can steal
Help me if you will
So Cupid draw back your bow and let your arrow go
Straight to my lover's heart for me, nobody but me
Cupid, please hear my cry and let your arrow fly
Straight to my lover's heart for me
Now Cupid don't you hear me
Callin' you, I need you
Cupid help me
I need you
Let me tell you 'bout a place
Somewhere up-a New York way
Where the people are so gay
Twistin' the night away-ay
Here they have a lot of fun
Puttin' trouble on the run
Man, you find the old and young
Twistin' the night away
They're twistin', twistin', everybody's feelin' great
They're twistin', twistin', they're twistin' the night away
Here's a man in evenin' clothes
How he got here, I don't know, but
Man, you oughta see him go
Twistin' the night away-ay
He's dancin' with the chick in slacks
She's a-movin' up and back
Oh man, there ain't nothin' like
Twistin' the night away
They're twistin', twistin', everybody's feelin' great
They're twistin', twistin', they're twistin' the night away
Let's twist a while!
Lean up, lean back
Lean up, lean back
Watusi, now fly, now twist
They're twistin' the night away
Here's a fella in bluejeans
Dancin' with a older Queen
Who's dolled up in-a diamond rings and
Twistin' the night away-ay
Man, you oughta see her go
Twistin' to the rock and roll
Here you find the young and old
Twistin' the night away
They're twistin', twistin', man, everybody's feelin' great
They're twistin', twistin', they're twistin' the night away
One more time!
Lean up, lean back
Lean up, lean back
Watusi, now fly, now twist
They're twistin' the night away
Shake! Shake! Shake! Shake! Listen
Listen while I talk to you
I tell you what we're gonna do
There's a new thing that's going around
And I'll tell you what they're puttin' down
Just move your body all around
And just shake
Oh, mamma
Shake
Thats the way to do it
Shake
Oh, you're looking good now
Shake
Yeah, ha
Shake it like a bowl of soup
And make your body loop de loop
Put your hands on your hips
And kinda let your backbone slip
Move your body like a whip
And just shake!
Umm, that's doing it
Shake
Yeah, you're looking good now
Shake
Go on, do it baby
Shake
Yeah, OhhA Ring-A-Ling-a-Ling
Honey, Shakin' is the latest thing
And if you wanna swing
Just loosen up them shoulders
And if you wanna really roll
You got to do the thing with soul
Shake the shake with all your might
Oh, if you do it, do it right
Just make your body loose and light
And kinda shake
Oh, honey
Shake
Hoooo
Shake
Oh, that's the way to do it
Shake
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-yeah
Alright

C'mon, loosen up them shoulders
If you wanna really roll
Got to do the thing with soul
Shake the shake with all your might
Now, if you do it, do it right
Make your body loose and light
And just shake

Shake
Make me feel good now
Shake
All gone baby
Shake
Don't be shy now
Shake
Dance, with you mama
Shake
Don't, do it baby
ShakeOh, yeah
Shake
She was only sixteen, only sixteen
I loved her so
But she was too young to fall in love And I was too young to know
We'd laugh and we'd sing
And do the little things
That made my heart glow
But she was too young to fall in love And I was too young to know
Why did I give my heart so fast
It never will happen again
But I was a mere lad of sixteen
I've aged a year since then
She was only sixteen, only sixteen
With eyes that would glow
But she was too young to fall in love And I was too young to know
(Then why did you give your heart so fast)
Oh, it never will happen again
(But you were a mere lad of sixteen) I've aged a year since then
She was only sixteen, only sixteen
With eyes that would glow
But she was too young to fall in love And I was too young to know
But she was too young to fall in love And I was too young to know
I'm a little red rooster,
Too lazy to crow for day
I'm a little red rooster,
Too lazy to crow for day
Keep everything in the barnyard,
Upset in every way
Dogs begin to bark now,
And the hounds begin to howl
Dogs begin to bark now,
And the hounds begin to howl
Watch out stray cat,
The little red rooster's on the prowl
If you see the little red rooster
Won't you please drive him home
If you see the little red rooster
Won't you please drive him home
Been no peace in the barnyard
Since that little red rooster's been gone
I'm a little red rooster,
Too lazy to crow for day
I'm a little red rooster,
Too lazy to crow for day
Keep everything in the barnyard,
Upset in every way
Everybody loves to cha cha cha
"Tom Dooley", cha cha cha,
"Tea For Two", cha cha cha
Every number was the cha cha cha
I told her not to worry there's only one thing we can do
Baby, if you let me take you by the handI'm gonna teach this dance to you
Then, I told her one two, cha cha cha
One two, cha cha cha
And up now, baby and back now
That's right, turn now, alright let's cross now
I taught my baby how to cha cha cha
We kept on dancing
And was I surprised, for you see
After we practiced it for a little while
She was doing it better than me
Now my baby loves to do the cha cha cha
She loves to do the cha cha cha
She likes her, she likes to cha cha cha
Everybody likes to cha cha cha
They do it
One two, cha cha cha, alright
One two, cha cha cha
And up now, alright back now
Alright baby let's cross now and turn now
Whoa-oh-oh-oh
There ain't nothing I can do
or nothing I can say
Just what I want to anyway
And I don't care just what people may say
And if I, if I take a notion
the jump-off into the ocean
Ain't nobody's bizness if I do
And if I go to church on sunday
then cabaret all day monday
It ain't nobody's bizness if I do
if my baby ain't got no money
and I say take all of mine honey
Ain't nobody's bizness if I do
If I give my baby my last nickle, O
and it leaves me, leaves me in a pickle
it ain't nobody's bizness if I do
I'd rather from my baby to hit me
then to jump off and quit me
Ain't nobody's bizness if I do
Nobody's bizness if I do
Oh my baby's comin home tomorrow
Ain't that good news
Yeah, ain't that news
My baby is coming home tomorrow
Ain't that news
Yeah, ain't that news
I got a letter just the other day
Telling me that he was on his way
And he wants me to meet him at the station
Ain't that good news
Yeah, ain't that news
In the letter he told me he still loved me
Ain't that good news
Yeah, ain't that news
In the letter he told me he loved me
Ain't that news
Yeah, ain't that news
He said he's sorry that he left
Found out he don't want nobody else
He said he wants me all to himself now
Ain't that good news
Yeah, ain't that news
Ain't that news
Ain't that good news
Ain't that news
Ain't that news
I said my baby's coming home tomorrow
Ain't that good news
Yeah, ain't that news
I'm gonna have him a party at the station
Ain't that good news
Yeah, ain't that news
Have a party at the station
Ain't that news
Yeah, ain't that news
And I can't wait to get him home
Where we can finally be alone
Disconnect my telephone now
Ain't that good news
Yeah, ain't that news
Ain't that news
Ain't that good news
I said my baby's coming home tomorrow
Ain't that good news
Yeah, ain't that news
Ain't that news
Ain't that good news
I was born by the river in a little tent
Oh, and just like the river I've been running ever since.
It's been a long, a long time coming but I know
A change go'n come, oh yes it will.
It's been too hard living, but I'm afraid to die
'Cause I don't know what's up there; beyond the sky.
It's been a long, a long time coming but I know
A change go'n come, oh yes it will.
I go to the movies and I go downtown
Somebody keep telling me don't hang around.
It's been a long, a long time coming but I know
A change go'n come, oh yes it will.
Then I go to my brother,
And I say, "Brother, help me please."
But he winds up knockin' me, back down on my knees.
Oh, there been times that I thought I couldn't last for
long
But now I think I'm able to carry on.
It's been a long, a long time coming but I know
