Sūrat Al-Nās (Arabic: سورة الناس), or Mankind, is the 114th and last sura, or chapter, of the Qur'an, the Muslim holy book. It is a short six-verse invocation, asking Allah for protection from the Satan. It is a Makkan sura. Together with sura Al-Falaq it is also known as Al-Mu'awwidhatayn; dealing with roughly the same theme, they form a natural pair. There is a Sunnah tradition of reading this Sura over the sick or before sleeping.
Arabic Verses:
بِسۡمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِیۡمِ
Transliteration:
Bismillahir-rahmanir-rahim
1.Qul a'uudhu bi rabbin naas
2.Malikin naas
3.Ilaahin naas
4.Min sharril waswaasil khannas
5.Alladhee yuwaswisu fee suduurin naas
6.Minal Jinnati wa naas
English Translation by Muhammad Shameem, Mohammad Wali Raazi and Muhammad Taqi Usmani:
Say, “I seek refuge with the Lord of mankind, [1] the King of mankind, [2] the God of mankind, [3] from the evil of the whisperer who withdraws (when Allah's name is pronounced), [4] the one who whispers in the hearts of people, [5] whether from among the Jinn or Mankind.” [6]

Surat, previously known as Suryapur, is a commercial city of the Indian state of Gujarat. It is also administrative capital of Surat district and one of the fastest growing cities in India. The city proper is the third cleanest city in India. Surat is Gujarat's second largest city and India's 8th most populated city (in terms of Population in Municipal Corporation area of the City) with a population of 4.5 million. Surat ranks fourth in a global study of fastest developing cities conducted by The City Mayors Foundation, an international think tank on urban affairs. It is the fastest growing Indian city in terms of economic prosperity. The city registered an annualised GDP growth rate of 11.5 per cent over the seven fiscal years between 2001 and 2008, according to data compiled by the economic research firm Indicus Analytics. UK-based charity, The Ecological Sequestration Trust (TEST), has selected Surat as one of the three cities in the world, to be developed as "global cities."
The city is located 306 km south of state capital Gandhinagar, and is situated on the left bank of the Tapti River (Tapi), the centre being around 22 km (14 mi) from its mouth. A moat divides the older parts of the city, with its narrow streets and handsome houses, and the newer suburbs. The city is largely recognised for its textile and diamond businesses. It is also known as the diamond capital of the world and the textile capital/Manchester textile city of India, a distinction it took over from Ahmedabad. It is also known as the "Embroidery capital of India" with the highest number of embroidery machines than any other city. 92% of the world's diamonds are cut and polished in Surat. It has one of the highest GDP growth rates in India at 11.5% as of 2008. Surat was the primary port of India during the Mughal period, a distinction it lost to Bombay during the late 17th century as the East India Company grew.

Raisa terlibat dalam proyek bernama Qur'an Indonesia Project. Di situ, pelantun LDR ini menyumbangkan suaranya dengan mengaji ayat Al Quran kemudian direkam. Tidak saja mengaji, Raisa juga melakukan terjemahan dengan bahasa Arab, Indonesia dan Inggris.
Nantinya rekaman mengaji Raisa itu akan dibagikan secara gratis dan dapat diunduh di internet menyambut datangnya bulan suci Ramadan 2015. Menurut Raisa ini adalah kesempatan yang tak ingin ia sia-siakan.

"Ini kesempatan yang langka, dan saya harus mengambil kesempatan ini," ucap Raisa saat ditemui di kawasan Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta Selatan, Kamis (4/6/2015).
Dengan terlibat dalam projek tersebut, setidaknya menggugah dara 24 tahun itu untuk membaca Al Quran. Apalagi sebentar lagi umat Islam akan kedatangan bulan yang penuh berkah, Ramadan.

"Ini jadi mengingatkan diri saya sendiri untuk membaca Al Quran, terlebih lagi mengetahui artinya," ujar Raisa.
Dalam proyek tersebut, Raisa secara sukarela membaca dua surat pendek dalam Al Quran, surat An'nas dan ayat Kursi. "Itu dua surat pendek yang aku suka," kata Raisa.

The epicenter of the earthquake was reported to be located 3km (2mi) NorthEast of the town of Fremont, California. Other regions close to the epicenter include Union City, Newark, Pleasanton, and Sacramento. Several people in the area were woken up by the earthquake following which there was panic.
