Lenzerheide is a new World Cup Round for 2015 and for years to come apparently... Being a part of the track development is a new and exciting venture for Peaty, but does he feel the pressure to come through and provide the riders fans alike with a memorable course? Steve has been down about his last couple of results, so it was amazing that all his sponsors pulled together in time to create a new bike for him to 'find his flow' again... Smaller wheels and a rigid rear end means you're at one with the bike and have a lower centre of gravity which = more grip. Honest. There's been talk for a while now of a new bike for the Syndicate... Most of the top teams and riders have been on 27.5 wheels for a while now, so as a natural progression it was only time until the team was going to be rolling on bigger wheels...

At the Oulego race the sun was out and so were the fans in their thousands... With a short, fast track times were always going to be tight and come race day it came down to a tight finish with Bernat pipping Steve to the top step... but a solid result on a dustry dry track coming into PMB.
Winter Dual and the local Sheffield scene has been another vital ingredient in keeping Peaty young and having fun during the dark winter months. Racing Rum anyone?
It's the final stop at PMB for the foreseeable future, with the Syndicate looking to make their mark on the 2014 season.

Thailand is a place of many things... If you have the money, i'm pretty sure you could do ANYTHING you wanted. We only touched the surface last year, so another trip to Chiang Mai to see the Loose Riders, with Ratboy and Sambo in tow seemed like a plan.
Another hectic week, with bikes, beer, ladyboys and bars, we were all ruined and ready for home.

It was a slow start to Peaty's 2013 campaign... Building through the year and gaining speed whilst others faded, Norway was set to be his World Cup highlight, smashing his way back into the top 10 and just missing out on a potential podium place, behind his team mate Greg Minnaar!
Carrying this form and confidence into the final round in Leogang was key and Peaty didn't look set to slow down at all... After a huge off in practice, some thought he might take it easy, but once again he powered through to a solid 9th place finish in Finals and also got to cheer the pet Rat on the podium!
Thailand is a place of many things... If you have the money, i'm pretty sure you could do ANYTHING you wanted. We only touched the surface last year, so another trip to Chiang Mai to see the Loose Riders, with Ratboy and Sambo in tow seemed like a plan.
Another hectic week, with bikes, beer, ladyboys and bars, we were all ruined and ready for home.

Lenzerheide is a new World Cup Round for 2015 and for years to come apparently... Being a part of the track development is a new and exciting venture for Peaty, but does he feel the pressure to come through and provide the riders fans alike with a memorable course? Steve has been down about his last couple of results, so it was amazing that all his sponsors pulled together in time to create a new bike for him to 'find his flow' again... Smaller wheels and a rigid rear end means you're at one with the bike and have a lower centre of gravity which = more grip. Honest. On a serious note though, who doesn't want a V16 to mess around on?! There's been talk for a while now of a new bike for the Syndicate... Most of the top teams and riders have been on 27.5 wheels for a while now, so as a natural progression it was only time until the team was going to be rolling on bigger wheels... "He's one of the best at what he does, so why change him?" Over the course of Peaty's career, winters spent with Adella Carter and the Sheffield Hallam team have proved vital in his long and illustrious career. Getting time of the DH bike is always tough with such a busy schedule and other commitments, so starting off the season with a trip to Barcelona to catch up with Ivan Oulego for his annual race was rad. David Vasquez, our UCI World Cup delegate and part time tour guide took us to some of the best trails Barcelona had to offer and after two days of smashing laps with Bernat Guardia and co, everyone was psyched. At the Oulego race the sun was out and so were the fans in their thousands... With a short, fast track times were always going to be tight and come race day it came down to a tight finish with Bernat pipping Steve to the top step... but a solid result on a dustry dry track coming into PMB. Winter Dual and the local Sheffield scene has been another vital ingredient in keeping Peaty young and having fun during the dark winter months. Racing Rum anyone? It's the final stop at PMB for the foreseeable future, with the Syndicate looking to make their mark on the 2014 season. Did things work out? "It's been a busy few weeks since South Africa!" Peaty wasn't lying when he said it'd been a hectic couple of weeks since the first UCI World Cup round. Starting with the annual pilgrimage to the Scottish Six Day Trial with James Dabill, then onto the Swiss Alps with Claudio Calouri to scout a new World Cup track for 2015... All of this was perfect training for Peaty's home race, 'Steel CIty Downhill', the world biggest/smallest downhill race. An amazing weekend, with a huge turnout... did Steve take his 4th win in a row? When you think Australia, you think dry,baron and dusty. This Is Your Life is an American television documentary series broadcast on NBC, originally hosted by its producer, Ralph Edwards from 1952 to 1961. In the show, the host surprises a guest, and proceeds to take them through their life in front of an audience including friends and family.
Edwards revived the show in 1971-72, while Joseph Campanella hosted a version in 1983. Edwards returned for some specials in the late 1980s, before his death in 2005. The show originated as a radio show on NBC Radio airing from 1948 to 1952.
Other versions of the television show have also been made in Britain from 1955, as well as in Australia, in New Zealand and in Sweden. The This Is Your Life format is distributed internationally by DRG.[citation needed]
The idea for This Is Your Life arose while Edwards was working on Truth or Consequences. He had been asked by the U.S. Army to "do something" for paraplegic soldiers at Birmingham General Hospital, a Van Nuys, Los Angeles, California Army rehabilitation hospital (a site later converted into a high school). Edwards chose a "particularly despondent young soldier and hit on the idea of presenting his life on the air, in order to integrate the wreckage of the present with his happier past and the promise of a hopeful future." Edwards received such positive public feedback from the "capsule narrative" of the soldier he gave on Truth or Consequences that he developed This Is Your Life as a new radio show. In the show, Edwards would surprise each guest by narrating a biography of the subject. The show "alternated in presenting the life stories of entertainment personalities and 'ordinary' people who had contributed in some way to their communities." The host, consulting his "red book", would narrate while presenting the subject with family members, friends, and others who had had an impact on his or her life.

Saint Anne (also Ann or Anna, from Hebrew Hannah חַנָּה, meaning "favor" or "grace") of David's house and line, was the mother of the Virgin Mary and grandmother of Jesus Christ according to Christian and Islamic tradition. English Anne is derived from Greek rendering of her Hebrew name Hannah. Mary's mother is not named in the canonical gospels or the Qur'an, and her name and that of her husband Joachim come only from New Testament apocrypha, of which the Protoevangelium of James, written perhaps around 150, seems to be the earliest that mentions them.
The story bears a similarity to that of the birth of Samuel, whose mother Hannah had also been childless. Although Hanna receives little attention in the Western church prior to the late 12th century, dedications to Hanna in the Eastern church occur as early as the 6th century. In the Eastern Orthodox Churches and Eastern Catholic Churches, she is revered as Hanna. In the Eastern Orthodox tradition, Hanna, is ascribed the title Forbear of God, and both the Birth of Mary and the Dedication of Mary to the Temple are celebrated as two of the Twelve Great Feasts. The Dormition of Hanna is also a minor feast in the Eastern Church. In Protestant tradition it is held that Martin Luther chose to enter religious life as a monk after receiving heavenly aid from St. Anne.
