Sally Murphy helps her mother run a boarding house for police rookies that includes Tommy Bradley and Jane's brother Jimmy. The latter is in love with Sue Duffy, daughter of police Captain Duffy, but Jimmy can't get along with Sue's father. Jimmy plans secretly to join the notorious gang led by Ed Boyd. Tommy's kid brother, Billy, arrives for a visit all shiny and spiffy in his military cadet uniform, and Sally falls for him at once. Tommy is taking the pair to the ice cream shop and, while walking a discreet distance behind the two young lovebirds, glances up an alley and sees Boyd's gang, including Jimmy, robbing a fur shop. Tommy is shot down and the gang escapes. Jimmy severs all connection with the police and becomes the manager of Boyd's night club. Jane is determined to find out who killed Tommy even if it implicates her brother, whom she suspects after finding a clue in his room. She takes Billy to the night club and puts on a song and dance while Billy searches for evidence, which he finds. After putting Captain Duffy and his rookies on the trail of the fur shop loot, Jane and Billy discover that Jimmy had joined the gang under Captain Duffy's order. Boyd has also learned the same and decides to have Jimmy killed.

Arizona (i/ɛrɪˈzoʊnə/; /ærɪˈzoʊnə/) (Navajo: Hoozdo Hahoodzo; O'odham: Alĭ ṣonak) is a state of the United States, located in the southwestern region of the country. Arizona is also part of the Western United States and of the Mountain West states. Arizona is the sixth most extensive and the 16th most populous of the 50 states. Its capital and largest city is Phoenix. The second largest city is Tucson, followed in population by eight cities of the Phoenix metropolitan area: Mesa, Chandler, Glendale, Scottsdale, Gilbert, Tempe, Peoria, and Surprise.
Arizona is the 48th state and last of the contiguous states to be admitted to the Union, and it achieved statehood on February 14, 1912. Arizona is noted for its desert climate in its southern half, where there are very hot summers and quite mild winters. The northern half of Arizona also features forests of pine, Douglas fir, and spruce trees, a very large, high plateau (the Colorado Plateau) and some mountain ranges—such as the San Francisco Mountains—as well as large, deep canyons, where there is much more moderate weather for three seasons of the year, plus significant snowfalls. There are ski resorts in the areas of Flagstaff and Alpine.
Arizona really was a gas
I was screwed up in a total mess
Mindblowing all the way, you know
Just out of sight
Some girl stopped me in the street at night
Ooh, what a knockout and she felt so right
Ooh, yeah she took my breath away
Just out of sight
Loved her in her car
Took me to the stars
Babe, we went nuts all the way
Loved her on the moon
Morning came too soon
She got me high and loose, loose, loose
Arizona really feels alright
Girls swing here and they treat you right
Have so many special ways, you know
And that's alright
Was so hard to leave and say goodbye
I'd like to stay and have another try
Mindblowing all the way, you know
Just out of sight
Loved her in her car
Took me to the stars
Babe, we went nuts all the way
Loved her on the moon
Morning came too soon
She got me high and loose, loose, loose
Ooh, what a night
Such a good time
Out of sight
Visitors, engineering
All we need is a clearing
We dont know what to feed em
Or even if were really needin

And even going home
Dont you wanna go
And even going home
Dont you wanna go
Dont you wanna go
Now taste
All I ever needed
All I ever wanted
So hold on to surrender
She shakes
Like I'm on a railway
Checking me out
Someone on a shoulder
Her lamp
Slippers in her bedroom
She must feel it's awkward
Oh, I said it's Arizona
Now go stand up to a giant
Said that I'm a fighter
Too drunk to remember
Too drunk to
Shake hands, my face
Standin' on a treadmill
Tastin' something awful
I hate when that happens
She waits in and out of Texas
She must be plum crazy
I kinda think I like her
I kinda think I do
arizona curled up with california
then she tried to hide the whole thing from new mexico
who knew before he saw them making out in yuma
that she was loving someone new
but california not california how could you
the bully loved her cactus
the underdog her pine
but she would only love one at a time
new mexico had always hated california
and though he knew that arizona wore the pants
he got loaded then he started throwing punches
the poor injun never had a chance
scissors cut paper
paper covers rock
rock crushes scissors
Most of our countdowns
I've seen the sun rise over my head
It's something called the sea of sad
To feel what's on the inside out
And if we had these visions
To find our state of mind
The beauty of this and all it holds
And all the feelings we find
Love your state of mind
And the beauty of this
Is in the feelings you find
Here with our close friends
We haven't exchanged a word all night
But they'll come to be
With somebody who has also seen
And if we're on this mission
To find our state of mind
The beauty of this and all it holds
Is in every time we tried
(chorus)
There are no demons here
Just a safe bright light
That's blazing in the distance
And starts our imaginations to fly
And if we're on commision
To find the times we find
The danger of this and all it holds
Is in all the fears we find
(chorus) x 2
It's on the love we ride
In the feelings we find
This is a song about the death of Danny Rapp
And that great gospel jest called rock and roll:
Some modern spirit
Wounded and sober
Here's the hunger of a generation
And another ritual surrender
Another motel voice
Arizone 1983
Saying "We must not hang our hats
Upon a dream"
As long as we are lonely
We will dance
As long as we are dying
We want the death of rock and roll
In my hands
A hymn of dispossession
In my head
I'm hearing love songs
I'm going to run my tongue
Over the body of the nation
I'm going to sing sing sing
To all the dirty little engines
As long as we are lonely
We will dance
As long as we are dying
We want the death of rock and roll
We don't want no confederates
We want deliverance
We don't want no saints
We want the death of rock and roll
This is the music of the minions
Suddenly, we're supposed to be shocked by what we see but it's appealing
Some people said some things and we were quick to your defense
But now it seems as if they might have had a point
You let them up on your way down
Cuz we all tried, to deny, again we're left just wondering why
So with a closer look, the story turns to fact it opens my eyes
With hindsight glasses on we all look back at everyone
But this case leaves us without any reason
Here's the glasses, here's the towel, we give if you do
Cuz we all tried, to deny, again we're left just wondering why
Just wondering why
Cuz we all tried, to deny, again we're left just wondering why
You're fighting, you're losing, you're running, you're slowing
You're hiding, you're scared, how could you say you were unaware?
Where else might we find you?
Or parts that give us clues
All in all just wondering where it is that all this came from
You left behind your friends
You threw away importance
I guess you let us know exactly where it is that we all stand
All the times
All the times
All the times
It took two days
For me to figure out
This isn't working out
But I lost my way
I drove all night
Just to be with you
But you weren't worth the view
I gotta hit the brakes
Now you know
Get up and go
Arizona, Arizona
A car wreck on the highway
Now you're burning by the side
Of the road
Arizona, Arizona
Is a million miles from Florida
Now you're history
I'm stranded
Get me out
I'm going home
Deep in your soul
Lies a lonely heart
That only ever pumps
For you alone
And I can't relate
So I gotta leave you here
I can breathe without you, dear
Just start walking away
Now you know
Get up and go
Arizona, Arizona
A car wreck on highway
Now you're burning by the side
Of the road
Arizona, Arizona
Is a million miles from Florida
Now you're history
I'm stranded
Get me out
I'm going home
Tell me, how does that feel?
With a grand canyon between me and you
And tell me how does that feel to see
Me waving gooodbye?
Took two days
For me to figure out
This isn't working out
I gotta hit the brakes
Arizona, Arizona
A car wreck on the highway
Now you're burning by the side
Of the road
Arizona, Arizona
Is a million miles from Florida
Now you're history
I'm stranded
Get me out
The weight of words, cracks your back again
Playback repeat, let's cut that ribbon
You could never runaway
Arizona fly away
Trashcan summers, watch them overflow
The laughs the cries, never let you go
Time to turn the page of age
Arizona flyaway
Let go of the things that bind you
Open up to the things you're blind to
Move on create an atmosphere
Unlock what defines you
Learn from what's behind you
Keep in touch and please don't disappear
Tonight's perfect, don't wake up the sun
From dusk till dawn, everyday you're gone
Take a chance and runaway
Arizona fly away
Let go of the things that bind you
Open up to the things you're blind to
Move on create an atmosphere
Unlock what defines you
Learn from what's behind you
Keep in touch and please don't disappear
On the verge of an earthquake
Spit it out, regurgitate
Fill it with all you have in mind
Rip the stickers off your rubrics cube
Mix them up and make something new
Experiment you can always redefine
Let go of the things that bind you
Open up to the things you're blind to
Move on create an atmosphere
Unlock what defines you
Learn from what's behind you
In the ground underground In the color of your eyes
In the way you move around In the dark I see you
In the sound of your voice In the wind your shadow In the way you are
mine
In the color of your lips the color of your lips
All around touch me All around use me All around take me away…
In the dark In the night in the light inside of us
In the seed of your joy your smile In your smell in your blood
In the way I see you In your smile In your skin
In the sound of your heart In the color of your soul the color of your soul
All around touch me, All around use me, All around take me….away...
Lyrics: Van Raveschot
Taken from the album: Van Raveschot – Eden East
P&C; Pale Music Int. 2009
Can we drive faster?
I know that leaves are turning
So we change courses
It feels like home
Although we travel
Pull over and pose for a picture
At each state line
Smile if you want to
Can you breathe in warm air?
The windows are rolled down
This long road far ahead
We see why
Take the time to drive
Through Arizona because we've got fuel
Phenomenal.....Phenomenal
Phenomenal.....Phenomenal
I'm thinking out here wondering about this
I'm seeing seven or maybe six
I'm running out of all my gas
(wahaaa)
I'm living out here like I'm living first class
I'm coming back for more
Wondering what the hell were we fighting for?
Haho-Haho
Phenomenal.....Phenomenal
Phenomenal.....Phenomenal
I'm out here thinking about my friends
(breath-breath breath-breath)
I'm wondering if I should ever let them in again
I'm wondering if I've got something to do
The rest was always up to
You, you, you, you, you, you!
I'm coming back for more
What the hell were we fighting for?
'Cause we're too much to see and be
The rest was always up to me
'Cause you want it
'Cause you need it
'Cause you got it
'Cause you think it
'Cause you want it
'Cause you are it
'Cause you are it
'Cause we are it â¦.wowyaaaho
It's only because of you
It's only because of you
It's only because of you that I'm gone
It's only because of you
It's only because of you
It's only because of you â that I'm gone
Woo-hoo
Summertime friends
Woo-hoo
The way you're thinking
Woo-hoo
The goodtime
Woo-hoo
'Cause we want it
'Cause we need it
'Cause we got it
'Cause we are it
'Cause we found it
'Cause we have it
'Cause you liked it
'Cause you loved it
'Cause you got it
'Cause you want it
'Cause you found it
'Cause you love it
'Cause you are it
'Cause we are it
'Cause I am it
'Cause I am it
No harm, no pain, no deeds in vain
No need to teach a bird to fly
No stairway up to reach the sky
I've opened up my senses
To a world that hides inside
Closed behind my eyelids
And lives only at night
Draw my dreams into the wind
Throw my words into the sea
Mix my voice into the snow
Melt my eyes with the lightning
Sometimes it comes without words
Sometimes it goes without saying
I had the best brown-eyed girl
But now she?s gone beyond praying for
I?m a saint, but she didn't mind me
At the same time she just couldn't find me
She went looking for space as people all will
Until they get to that place, some kind of chill
Sometimes it comes without words
Sometimes it goes without saying
Sometimes the only kind of luck you get is what you have been constantly praying for
When my notes are gone and I still need to make a sound
When my love?s been took and I?m no longer hanging around with
All the same, I might find it
Love is blind babe, but I didn't blind it
It?s gone looking for space as people all will
Until they get to that place, some kind of chill
All the same, I might find it
Love is blind babe, but I didn't blind it
It's gone looking for space as people all will
Save me with a fall
Save me from the sick woman
Let her speak
No you said all
Till we meet the splintering
I dreamed a dream I thought I knew
I drew a line that came a blue
My leg is dead so I can’t go
To where I think my heart would choose
And we’re floating
Riding the hill side
Into tomorrow
Oh Maddie don’t let me down
Off a mountain
What an arrival
Into tomorrow
Oh Maddie don’t let me down
I believe in what you reap you sow
So what goes around comes around
So what goes around will come back around
I believe in what you reap you sow
So what goes around comes around
So what goes around, I will come back around
So long as I’m around
And we’re floating
Riding the hill side
Into tomorrow
Oh Maddie don’t let me down
Off a mountain
What an arrival
Into tomorrow
Oh Maddie the splintering
And we’re floating
Off of the hill side
Into tomorrow
Oh Maddie don’t let me down
Off a mountain
What an arrival
Into tomorrow

she must have lost her way

one California day
She said she believes in Robin Hood and brotherhood
and colors of green and gray
And all you can do is laugh at her
doesn't anybody know how to pray
Arizona take off your rainbow shades
Arizona have another look at the world

Arizona cut off your Indian braids
Arizona hey won'tcha go my way
Strip off your pride your acting like a teeny-bopper run away (child)
Scrape off the paint off the face of a
little (town)saint
Arizona take off your hobo shoes
Arizona hey won'tcha go my way
INSTRUMENTAL INTERLUDE
Follow me up to San Francisco
(I would be guide your way)
I'll be the Count of Monte Cristo
You'll be the Countess May
You can believe in Robin Hood and brotherhood and (rolling the ball in the hay)

Anything to make you stay
Arizona take off your rainbow shades
Arizona have another look at the world
.... my my my
Arizona cut off your Indian braids
Arizona (hey won'tcha) go my way
Arizona take off your hobo shoes
Arizona have another look at the world
.... my my my
(fade out while singing "Arizona -" lines)
I left Arizona with my tear stained cheeks
Your skin on my fingertips
And dust at my feet
Wanting to get away from whatever hurt so much.
Your love
So why don't I love you anymore
Don't I miss you any longer
Don't I need you anymore
Ohhh
Why is it that you don't cross my mind
Is it simply I don't love you
Is it that we've run out of time
What happened b/w the seconds the minutes the ticking hours on the hands
Of the clocks that used to count down time till I saw you again
Those seconds the minutes the ticking hours that flew by
I want it all back
Even if I have to go back
I'll take it all back
Even if I have to go back
I still loved you in alabama
I still missed you in tennessee
Still dreamt of you in carolina
Tell me did you think of me?
I was thinking of you in georgia
From the bottom to the top
But idk what happened
Somehow I forgot
I crossed that state line
And you werent on my mind
So why don't I love you anymore
Don't I miss you any longer
Don't I need you anymore
Ohhh
Why is it that you don't cross my mind
Is it simply I don't love you
Is it that we've run out of time
What happened b/w the seconds the minutes the ticking hours on the hands
Of the clocks that used to count down time till I saw you again
Those seconds the minutes the ticking hours that flew by
I want it all back, even if I have to go back, I'll take it all back, even if I have to go back
It makes it all worth it
Just to step into
Pacific time
At six AM
It pacifies
Surrounded by
Flat top unreasonable views
Useless mock mountains
Where air dried our skin like alcohol
You call this a landscape
Maybe a mistake
You call this a landscape
Maybe a mistake
You call this a landscape

You call this a landscape
Nothing ever gets to her
Yeah nothing ever gets to her here
She never leaves still
You call this a landscape
Maybe a mistake
You call this a landscape
Maybe a mistake
You call this a landscape
Maybe a mistake
You call this a landscape
Maybe a mistake
You call this a landscape
