Seeking Justice for Negligence

When patients go to their physicians for help with medical problems they do so because they want to improve their health. They trust that their doctors will prescribe the best medications and treatments for their particular situation and that the medicines and devices used will do what they are designed to do and be safe.

Unfortunately, that is not always the case. When pharmaceutical companies are more interested in profits than in the people for whom they are creating the products, people can get hurt. Insufficient testing and research and covering up flaws can lead to pain, suffering and even death to unsuspecting patients.

The Food and Drug Administration and Pharmaceutical Companies

Before a drug or medical device is brought to market the company that creates it has to conduct rigorous testing, and then submit the results of their testing to the Food and Drug Administration’s review before they will approve its release. Too often the testing is inadequate or the information provided is not totally forthcoming about problems with the product.

This is why so many product liability lawsuits end up getting filed. Januvia lawsuits, a Victoza lawsuit and DePuy hip replacement lawsuits are all good examples of negligence lawsuits that have needed to be filed in response to products being released onto the market without adequate warning or testing  being provided and people getting hurt.

Suing Big Pharma

Although it may be intimidating to consider filing a lawsuit against a big pharmaceutical company, it is the best way to get justice, get compensated for suffering that has been caused, and provide a warning that companies need to be more careful before releasing dangerous products onto the market.

Januvia lawsuits and Victoza lawsuits both seek to punish pharmaceutical companies for selling drugs meant to help diabetes patients that then ended up causing pancreatic and thyroid cancer. In the case of DePuy hip replacement lawsuits patients were forced to undergo tremendous pain and often needed revision surgery to undo the damage that was done to them.

Forcing Companies to Take Responsibility

Patients who suffer at the hands of negligent, uncaring, profit-driven companies are not without recourse, and those who have filed Januvia lawsuits, Victoza lawsuits and Depuy hip replacement lawsuits are proof. They are seeking justice for the damage that the pharmaceutical and medical device companies have done to them.
