The MISS Project
Margate is a small town you could walk around in a day. In the past things were bad, run down and disheveled; now its starting to bloom with many changes over the last two years, We all expect more over the next few years.
The MISS project documents Margate independent shopkeepers and their shops, all in walking distance of each other from Fort Hill to High Street Margate.

'Door to Hell' in Derweze, a gallery on Flickr.
"The Door to Hell" is a natural gas field in Derweze, Turkmenistan. It is noted for its natural gas fire which has been burning continuously since it was lit by Soviet petrochemical scientists in 1971. The fire is fed by the rich natural gas deposits in the area. The pungent smell of burning sulfur pervades the area for some distance. - Stefan Schinning
