Watch this epic performance from Ben Norris, runner-up in the 2013 Roundhouse Poetry Slam. Each year the UK's hottest up-and-coming lyrical athletes flextheir poetic muscles in a war of words, vying for the title of 2013 Roundhouse Poetry Slam Champion and the Colin & Helen David Prize. This August, a host of London's finest young performance poets went head to head in front of sold-out live audiences and an expert panel in two Slam heats, and the toughest competitors brought their A-game to the Grand Final as the 2013 title race was decided. The competition was judged and compered by top UK poets and guest performers John Berkavitch, Daniel Cockrill, Stephanie Dogfoot, Zena Edwards, Kat Francois and Polarbear. The Roundhouse is grateful to Colin & Helen David for their generous support of its Poetry Programme. Update --- 20.01.2014 Offizielle Stellungnahme: Campus TV knackt die Millionenmarke -- Julia Engelmanns Video sorgt für Aufsehen Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, vermutlich haben Sie es längst mitbekommen: Ein von Campus TV, dem studentischen TV-Magazin der Universität Bielefeld hochgeladenes Poetry Slam-Video hat in der vergangenen Woche im gesamten deutschsprachigen Raum für Aufmerksamkeit gesorgt. (Das Video von Julia Engelmann bei Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DoxqZWvt7g8) Wir von der Campus TV Redaktion freuen uns für Julia Engelmann. Und auch für uns, konnten wir doch durch diesen unerwarteten Internethype eine Menge an neuen Fans und Abonnenten gewinnen. Allein bei Youtube hat Campus TV innerhalb weniger Tage 3.500 Abonnenten gewinnen können. Auch die Zahl der Facebook-Follower hat sich mit nun 800 nahezu verdoppelt. Nicht nur das Video von Julia Engelmann wurde weit über 2,4 Millionen mal angeklickt, auch alle andere Videos des Magazin haben davon profitiert. Wir sind froh, dass das seit Jahren qualitativ hochwertig arbeitende Magazin dadurch eine so große Würdigung erfährt. Der Begriff Campus TV, der Hörsaal-Slam und die Universität Bielefeld sind derzeit in aller Munde. Dazu Jochen Kopp, Redaktionsleiter von Campus TV: "Wir freuen uns mit Julia Engelmann.
