Clindamycin
Clindamycin is an antibiotic useful for the treatment of a number of bacterial infections. This includes middle ear infections, bone or joint infections, pelvic inflammatory disease, strep throat, pneumonia, and endocarditis among others. It can be useful against some cases of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). It may also be used for acne and in addition to quinine for malaria. It is available by mouth, intravenously, and as a cream to be applied to the skin or in the vagina.
Common side effects include nausea, diarrhea, rash, and pain at the site of injection. It increases the risk of Clostridium difficile colitis about fourfold. Other antibiotics may be recommended instead due to this reason. It appears to be generally safe in pregnancy. It is of the lincosamide class and works by blocking bacteria from making protein.
Clindamycin was first made in 1967. It is on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines, the most important medication needed in a basic health system. It is available as a generic medication and is not very expensive. The wholesale cost is about 0.06 to 0.12 USD per pill. In the United States it costs about 2.70 USD a dose.

I was prescribed Clindamycin (acne journey)
So I got my proactive kit and the next day was prescribed Clindamycin by my primary care doctor. I had a scheduled dermatologist appointment a month out. I was desperate and my grand mother actually suggested I go to my doctor. Thank God. I used it hand in hand with my proactive kit and I thought it worked great. It's a lot of steps, but overall a better result. In this video I did have the benzoyl gel on my face, I got it over the counter. I ended up using it as a spot treatment from time to time because I had to much products to use on a daily. -

العُدّ الشائع أو حب الشباب مرض جلدي تهيجي أو التهابي، ناتج عن تغييرات في المسامات الجلدية والغدد الدهنية المصاحبة لها. حب الشباب الشائع يسمى (Acne vulgaris)، فالإفراز المفرط للزيوت من الغدد بالإضافة إلى وجود طبقة طبيعية من الخلايا الجلدية الميتة يسد المسامات. تتجمع الإفرازات الدهنية تحت المسامة المسدودة، مما يوفر بيئة ممتازة لبكتيريا Propionibacterium acnes للتكاثر والنشاط. وبالتالي يتهيج الجلد، منشئا منطقة متأذية. يظهر حب الشباب عادة على الوجه، الكتفين، الظهر وأعلى الذراعين ومعظم البكتيريا المسببة لحب الشباب لاهوائية. حبّ الشّباب أو العدّ مرض جلدي مزمن عبارة عن مجموعة عناصر التهابية جريبية يصاحبها؛
سيلان زهمي (يتكاثر الزّهم بمناسبة نوبة البلوغ استجابة لـلإفرازات الهرمونية المذّكرة - إلى الزّهم يرجع لمعان البشرة - كما تصاحب نوبة البلوغ تغيّرات مهمّة للغطاء الدّهني وزيادة لقرتين الجلد).
تجمّع لتكيّسات الخلايا البشرية الميّتة في المسامّ (تتأكسد القرتين ويسودّ لونها, وهو ما يعرف بالنّقط السّوداء).
قد يقتصر الأمر غالبا على هذين العنصرين (سيلان زهمي وبعض التّكيّسات)

العلاج
يقسم العلاج إلى عدة انواع:
علاجات موضعية
أ - مراهم مضادات حيوية موضعية مثل: الكليندامسين (clindamycin) والاريثرومايسين (Erythromycin) ب - مراهم التي تحتوي على Retinoids ج - مراهم التي تحتوي على الكبريت وحامض الساليسيليك [1]
علاجات عن طريق الفم
أ - مضادات حيوية مثل المينوسكلين (minocycline)، الكلينداميسين (clindamycin) وغيرها. ب - علاج بالهورمونات: حبوب التي تقلل من الهورمونات الذكرية التي تزيد عادة افراز الدهن ج - علاج بالرواكوتين (Isotretinoin) الذي يعنبر العلاج الانجع لعلاج حب الشباب وله تأثير بعيد المدى. [1]
علاجات حديثة
بواسطة أشعة ضوئية زرقاء أو حمراء.
