In 1966, George W. Bush (Josh Brolin) endures an alcohol-fueled initiation by his fellow Yale University students as a Delta Kappa Epsilon pledge. During the hazing, Bush successfully recalls the names and nicknames of many of the fraternity members, and states that his family's political legacy is one in which he has no interest. A little later, after the younger Bush is jailed in New Jersey for rowdiness following a football game, his father, George H. W. Bush (James Cromwell), states that he will help the younger Bush, but for the last time. Following his graduation from Yale, Bush takes a job at an oil patch back in his home state of Texas, but he quits after only a few weeks. Shortly after this, and proposing to his girlfriend while drunk, "Junior" reveals his real aspirations in a father-son talk: working in professional baseball, in some capacity. Soon after, Bush is accepted into Harvard Business School with the help of his father. Later that night after drinking heavily, the younger Bush crashes his car into his family estate and challenges his father to a fistfight. His brother, Jeb (Jason Ritter) intervenes and reveals that Bush got into Harvard Business which stops anything happening.
You could spend your time
In a darkened room
Just to gather folks opinions
Can you stand the heat?
Can you wrong the rights
And I love you, thanks a million
And if there's a god
Let him strike you down
Knowing that you can't deliver
But you held me up
And you hung me out
And we're waiting still for you to bring
Light to a darkened room
But I know you will
It'll make my day
When I see your face
On a dollar bill
And they counted you out
Then they counted you in
And they're counting still
And for all the lies you're about to tell
May the lord make us
Truely thankfull
In a two horse race
If you bet each way
Could you maybe stay the distance
And if I should hide
From your puppeteers
Will they make me look ridiculous
Did you like the game
Can you take the blame
After all the dust has settled
Did you ever hope
For a hopeless world
Hungry for the time that you'd bring a
Light to a darkened room
But I know you will
It'll make my day
When I see your face
On a dollar bill
And they counted you out
Then they counted you in
And they're counting still
And for all the lies you're about to tell
May the lord make us
Truely thankfull
We could talk all night
Never touch the side
But I don't mean to demean you
Ever felt the cold
When you saw the light
Did the mirror show that dream of you
All the endless miles
And the babies smiles
While the mothers pledge allegiance
To uphold the wrong
To opress the right
Ready to sign up when you bring the
Light to a darkened room
But I know you will
It'll make my day
When I see your face
On a dollar bill
They counted you out
Then they counted you in
And they're counting still
And for all the lies you're about to tell

Thank god we've got heroes like you
who bravely stride forward when duty calls
Just slow enough that people can still whisper in your ear
And if compassion means biting your lip
And posing for the cameras
Then bravo! Well done
Skull and bones.
Thank god we've got heroes like you
who bravely stride forward when duty calls
Just slow enough that people can still whisper in your ear
And if compassion means biting your lip
And posing for the cameras
Then bravo! Well done

Let's talk about Californ-i-a
If you ever came to visit wonder why you didn't stay
We got them, 'Wide Open Spaces" like them Dixie Chicks
Enough soldier's in the hood to really start some (shit)
It's where the sun always sets and the beauty never seases
Their's a war goin on, but it's more wit the police
It's were the pace is slow, it's somethin like in the south
When out of towner's try to rush they just runnin they're mouths
I love the hot days and the old school cars
White tee's and baggy jeans and barbeque's in the park
If you ain't rest here, then you would never understand
(You's a dedicated Queen)best believe that I am
I put up billboards butt-naked from the waist up
Which yo hands over each breast throwin the west up
And underneath, the capture would say, "don't you wish you were here?"
West Coast yay, yay
[Chorus: Mystic]
Cause everywhere I go
And everything I see
Makes me believe
Their's nothing like the West Coast
(Were you from?)
West Coast
And everything I do, the way I move
Is just because
I'm from the West Coast, West Coast
[Verse 2: Planet Asia]
Out west we rock stains and cuts

Out of control staright ballin baggy shorts no socks
Owin the block cell phones roamin the lot
We can ball in the in yacht, i'm talkin bout home of the rocks
Rockin a sporty spliff, we bumpin 40&The; Click
Too $hort, Dr.Dre or some George Clinton
Don't get it twisted cause you can even ask Mystic
(the bay got the best weed)and L.A. got the bitches
Tricks, mac's, hustla's, snitches, hoodrat killaz, drug dealer's&thug; nigga's
Were we at?
[Chorus]
Cause everywhere we go
And everything we see
Makes us believe
Their's nothing like the West Coast, West Coast
And everything we do, the way we move
Is just because were from the West Coast, West Coast
[Verse 3: Planet Asia & Mystic]
[Planet Asia]
It ain't nuttin like the CA
Sunshine, women, water, and sand trees and the West Coast relay's
Straight from the North were paper chasin is art
Where they blast for cash and walk live
As a true and livin gangsta's
[Mystic]
Gangsta's O.G.'s the game is so fluid
Got us swaggin the steps like, "only we can do it"
True it, ain't no other golden state
We can't relate we heavyweights who demonstrate
[Planet Asia]
Let's be a soldier in the land of homocides and murder
Liqour store robberies and fast learners
And corrupt cops on the mission to bust off shots
Blue or flame dub you might just catch a hot one at the bus stop
[Mystic]
Yo Asia baby, we set the record staright
From thugs to fallen angel's, we elevate
And I know one day my soul will go to rest
Just put my ashes in the dirt in the west
[Chorus x2]
[Planet Asia Overlapping Mystic]
West Coast, Oakland, Fresno, Los Angeles
San Diego, you know what i'm sayin?
Seattle, Vancouver, West Coast
You know what i'm sayin?
Light green, old schools, pop ya collar
We don't sport curls no mo'
[Laughter]
We don't sport curls no mo'
[Mystic]
Yo spontaneous, spear more music, West Coast, West Coast
BIOTCH!
La, la, la,
La, la, la, la, la, la, la
Hm, now
There's love in the air
It's here and it's where
I'm singing along
To the words from a song
I really must sing
I fall into spring
I cling to the day
Cause today is a lifetime
And I, I
I wanna make it right
Keep my love inside your heart
And let me hold your hand real tight
Keep that thought inside your head now
And let me know it's all about love
I'll keep your world together-
-Should it fall apart?
I will hold you
And I'll Love you 4ever
So now
It's love in the air
It's everywhere
I'm singing along
To the words in a song
I really must sing
I fall into swing
I cling to the day
Everyday is a lifeline
And everywhere that you are
You're the one by far
Keep my love inside your heart
And let me hold you hand real tight
Keep that thought inside your head now
And let me know it's all about love
I'll keep your world together-
Should it fall apart!
I will hold you
And I'll Love you 4ever
So solid are stars into the night
Millions of lights over us in the night sky
Deep in love, it's you and I
In love 4ever
4ever
4ever
