Speak out India: Does the Supreme Court verdict imply that Indians are not free citizens?
By saying its not under supreme court jurisdiction to amend law and is only done by the legislators the Court has put the onus on the Parliament. Though the government has assured full cooperation the gay rights activist have taken their comments with a pinch of salt. But will our parliamentarians stand up and defend gay rights in India. Stephen Fry: Out There: Episode 2 BBC Documentary [16th Oct 2013]
In a new BBC Two series, Stephen Fry: Out There, Stephen travels across the globe to find out what it means to be gay. Visiting Uganda, America, Russia, Brazil and India, Stephen encounters some of the most notorious homophobes on the planet to try to understand the origin of their beliefs; he also meets victims of homophobic abuse. The first episode sees Stephen's journey start close to home as he meets Sir Elton John and David Furnish to talk about their experiences coming out, their civil partnership and decision to raise a child together. He also meets a young Iranian man seeking refuge in the UK as he faces the death penalty in his home country for being gay. Stephen then travels to Uganda - where the government is proposing a new law that would put gay people to death - and meets government ministers and religious leaders who support the bill. He sees the impact this proposed legislation is having on the lives of gay men and women, and has an emotional conversation with Stosh, a young gay woman who was a victim of 'corrective rape'. Lastly, Stephen travels to America to explore the workings of Reparative Therapy, a therapy that claims to change people from gay to straight, and visits actor Neil Patrick Harris to talk about his experience of being openly gay in Hollywood. Stephen Fry Out There was co-produced with the Open University.- published: 16 Oct 2013

Tagore International School Students supporting LGBT Rights at Delhi Queer Pride 2013
The sixth Delhi Queer Pride 2013, conducted on Sunday, 24th November 2013. People joined in to celebrate the diversity within the gender spectrum fighting for the cause of gender equality with slogans of "Hum Anek Hai" and "One India". It was a colourful show of solidarity and support in the Capital on Sunday as over a thousand members and supporters of the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) community gathered to participate in the sixth Delhi Queer Pride Parade. The participants marched from Barakhamba Road in Connaught Place towards Jantar Mantar. The event, which started at 3 pm, went on for four hours. The Pride Parade is seen as an avenue where people come openly and claim their rights to access public places fearlessly. Every year the Delhi Pride Community, which organises the Parade, comes up with something unique to make the event more fun. This year it organised events such as the Queer bazaar, fund raising parties and placard making sessions. Started in 2008 with just 35 people, the LGBT participation has grown tremendously over the past five years. It is not just attended by the queer community, but also by family members and people who support them.
