My girlfriend and I visited Dachau Concentration Camp on August 31st, 2013. I grew up with a Holocaust Survivor living in my hometown, so the history of this terrible time has been something I have been interested in since I was very young. The atmosphere there was hushed, sad, and scared. Even as a tourist, you walked around, and felt as though all light had been sucked out of you. Admission is free to the Camp, Audio guides are 3-5 euro a person, group tours cost varies with how many people there are.
