Mary Elizabeth McGlynn

Mary Elizabeth McGlynn is an American voice actress, ADR director and writer.

Career

She is best known for her extensive English-language dubbing of various anime, and her singing in multiple games from the Silent Hill series, as well as the movie adaptation and Dance Dance Revolution EXTREME. She has also had several movie roles. She was a Guest of Honor at Anime Expo 2007, Long Beach.

McGlynn won the 2007 American Anime Award for Best Actress for her role as Major Motoko Kusanagi in Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex. She won a Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (SPJA) award in 2008 for Best Director for her work on Naruto.

As of 2015, she currently plays Dr. Maheswaran in Steven Universe, Queen Metalia on Sailor Moon Crystal and she also voice directs Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero.

Ghost in the Shell

Ghost in the Shell (攻殻機動隊, Kōkaku Kidōtai, literally "Mobile Armored Riot Police") is a Japanese media franchise originally published as a seinen manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Masamune Shirow. The manga, first serialized in 1989 under the subtitle of The Ghost in the Shell, and later published as its own tankōbon volumes by Kodansha, told the story of the fictional counter-cyberterrorist organization Public Security Section 9, led by protagonist Major Motoko Kusanagi, in the mid 21st century of Japan.

Animation studio Production I.G has produced several different anime adaptations of Ghost in the Shell, starting with the 1995 film of the same name, telling the story of Section 9's investigation of the Puppet Master. The television series Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex followed in 2002, telling an alternate story from the manga and first film, featuring Section 9's investigations of government corruption in the Laughing Man and Individual Eleven incidents. The year 2013 saw the start of the Ghost in the Shell: Arise original video animation (OVA) series, consisting of four episodes through mid-2014. The series was recompiled in early 2015 as a television series titled Ghost in the Shell: Arise - Alternative Architecture, airing with an additional two episodes. An animated feature film produced by most of the Arise staff, titled Ghost in the Shell: The New Movie was released on June 20, 2015. A live action film of the same name is scheduled for release on March 31, 2017.

Sweet Lovin'

"Sweet Lovin'" is the second single from British musician Sigala, featuring vocals from I See MONSTAS frontman Bryn Christopher. It was released on 4 December 2015 as a digital download in the United Kingdom through Ministry of Sound. It is the follow-up to his UK number-one single "Easy Love". The song has reached number 3 in the United Kingdom and number 6 in Ireland.

Critical reception

In a highly positive review, Lewis Corner of Digital Spy called the song "another tropical house thumper with a euphoric chorus and luscious, soulful vocals."

Music video

The music video was filmed in Los Angeles, California. It was uploaded to Sigala's official Vevo channel on 13 November 2015. It features a woman (Candice Heiden of LA Roller Girls Entertainment. ) rollerskating around the streets and leaving clouds of red smoke in her wake, causing anyone in the smoke's path to dance infectiously to the track.
