CNN Interview with RT Anchor Explodes: (FULL) Chris Cuomo vs Peter Lavelle.
CNN New Day host Chris Cuomo, who's been reporting from Ukraine this week, got into an explosive dozen-minute shouting match with RT anchor Peter Lavelle Wednesday morning, as the two men largely yelled past each other over Russia's culpability in the downing of flight MH17 and the evidence since offered by western powers. Cuomo asked Lavelle why Putin had allowed the crime scene to so deteriorate, while Lavelle argued that Putin had no control over a foreign country's territory. The two fought over the existence of the west's evidence that Moscow-backed Ukrainian separatists fired the missile that took down the plane, with Lavelle claiming it came from "Twitter." "The U.S. government condemned Russia before the bodies were even off the ground," Lavelle said. "What kind of logic is that?... U.S intelligence has no idea what it's talking about. Or it knows what happens and it doesn't want the world to find out what really happened." Lavelle's thoughts were not entirely different from what CNN heard from its own foreign correspondent Diana Magnay yesterday; on the other hand, RT just lost one of its foreign correspondents, Sara Firth, who loudly accused the network of submitting to Putin's agenda on the way out. From there the interview quickly escalated into accusations of water-carrying and stupidity, as Cuomo accused Lavelle of dodging his queries to protect Russia and Lavelle accused Cuomo of asking loaded questions intended to assign blame ahead of facts. "Here's the difference between you and me, Peter. You are obsessed with clearing Russia from culpability," Cuomo said, going on to say he "seemed to be acting like a representative of Russia." "Why should you carry water for Russia when you're supposed to be a journalist?" "You carry water for the U.S. State Department," Lavelle said, calling Cuomo's questions stupid and added that western joiurnalists were "denying the agency of people in eastern Ukraine. You just think they're puppets of Russia. That's simply not true." "CHRIS CUOMO PETER LAVELLE" "CNN" "RUSSIA TODAY" "RT"- published: 23 Jul 2014

FULL INTERVIEW - 7/30/2014 in CNN Outfront Erin Burnett Interviews Ambassador Maen Areikat Chief P.L.O Representative to the U.S over Gaza situation in which Hamas putting weapons in schools. Ambassador blasts US Government re-supplying ammunition to Israel. Carnage at U.N. school as Israel pounds Gaza Strip (Reuters) - Israeli shelling killed at least 15 Palestinians sheltering in a U.N.-run school and another 17 near a street market on Wednesday, Gaza's Health Ministry said, with no ceasefire in sight after more than three weeks of fighting. Israel's security cabinet decided to continue its offensive in the enclave and there was no sign of a halt to a 23-day conflict in which 1,346 Palestinians, mostly civilians, have died. On the Israeli side, 56 soldiers and three civilians have been killed. Some 3,300 Palestinians, including many women and children, were taking refuge in the school in Jabalya refugee camp when it came under fire around dawn, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) said. "Our initial assessment is that it was Israeli artillery that hit our school," UNRWA chief Pierre Krahenbuhl said in a statement after agency representatives visited the scene and examined fragments, craters and other damage. Blood splattered floors and mattresses inside classrooms at the Jabalya Girls Elementary School and survivors picked through shattered glass and debris for flesh and body parts to bury. "I call on the international community to take deliberate international political action to put an immediate end to the continuing carnage," Krahenbuhl said. The Gaza Health Ministry put the number of dead in the school attack at 15, with more than 100 wounded. The United Nations said 16 people were killed. An Israeli military spokeswoman said militants had fired mortar bombs from the vicinity of the school and troops shot back in response. The incident was still being reviewed. The army said three Israeli soldiers were killed on Wednesday when a booby-trap bomb exploded in a tunnel shaft they had uncovered in a residence in the southern Gaza Strip. UNRWA said on Tuesday it had found a cache of rockets concealed at another Gaza school - the third such discovery since the conflict began. It condemned unnamed militant groups for putting civilians at risk. Krahenbuhl said the Jabalya school's precise location and the fact that it was sheltering thousands of displaced people had been communicated to the Israeli military 17 times, with the last notification just hours before the fatal shelling. U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, speaking in Costa Rica, condemned the killing. "It is outrageous. It is unjustifiable. And it demands accountability and justice," he said. At the White House, National Security Council spokeswoman Bernadette Meehan said: "We are extremely concerned that thousands of internally displaced Palestinians who have been called on by the Israeli military to evacuate their homes are not safe in U.N.-designated shelters in Gaza. "We also condemn those responsible for hiding weapons in United Nations facilities in Gaza." Israeli PM Netanyahu on CNN - FULL INTERVIEW 7/27/2014
(CNN) Today on CNN’s State of the Union with Candy Crowley, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to Crowley about the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Following the interview with Prime Minister Netanyahu, Crowley spoke with Mohammed Shtayyeh, senior adviser to President Abbas, to hear the Palestinian response. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Mohammed Stayyeh offer insights on both sides of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Netanyahu on ceasefires: “Israel has accepted five cease-fires since this conflict began, five. We accepted them and we implemented them, including two humanitarian cease-fires in the last 24 hours which Hamas rejected, as they rejected all the other cease-fires. And they violated them.” “So, you say Israel resumed its offensive. No, we didn't resume our offensive. We had a cease-fire. They violated it. And now they are violating their own cease-fire. And, obviously, we will take whatever action is necessary to protect our people, including against the terror tunnels that they are trying to dig against us.” Shtayyeh on ceasefires: “Well, my reaction is that, since this morning, while Israel is claiming that it is abiding by a cease-fire, six Palestinians have been killed, including a Christian nurse in one of the clinics in Gaza.” “So, by all means, we are very much entrusted to see an end to the Israeli aggression. And, as I understand, the efforts of Secretary Kerry is yielding some fruits. There will be a Palestinian delegation formed by President Mahmoud Abbas going to Cairo to negotiate the terms of cease-fire.” “But, by all means, if the Israeli army is going to be stationed where it is and continue shelling, obviously, Israel is very much endangering. Whether it's a humanitarian cease-fire, whether it's a timing cease-fire, whether it is a long-lasting cease-fire, the Israeli army should not stay where it is now, because the Israeli army now is nearly occupying 50 percent of the total area of the Gaza Strip, which is no less than - which is more than 370 square kilometers, with 1.9 million Palestinians living in that very small territory.”- published: 27 Jul 2014
