On this auspicious day, we are presenting small biography of Shivann here. Read and enjoy! 12th July, 1962, god gifted a son to Kannada's thespian Dr.Rajkumar. They named him as Putta Swamy (Rajkumar's Father's name). Later he changed his name from Puttaswamy to Shivraj Kumar. Shivaraj kumar completed his graduation in B.Sc(Chemistry) from Madras University in the year 1983. Later he joined on the insistence of Dadasaheb Phalke Award winner K. Balachander (a veteran Tamil director), joined an acting school in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. And also he got training in Kuchupudi dance at Vempetti Chinni Sathyam in Chennai during his college days. In the year 1986, Shivaraj Kumar made his debut screen appearance in Singeetham Srinivas Rao's Anand. Shivanna's first three movies Anand, Rathasapthami and Mana Mechchida Hudugi all completed silver jubilee thus earning him the title Hatrick Hero -- Shivaraj Kumar. In his career spanning over 25 years, he acted in a variety of roles. A number of his movies completed silver jubilee. The most notable movies of his career are Janumada Jodi, Jogi, Anand, Rathasapthami, Nammoora Mandara Hoove, Om, and Chigurida Kanasu. He also acted in a movie Sugreeva, which was shot in 18 hours. His film Om, directed by Upendra, set a trend of gangster movies in Kannada and other film industries in India. It is one of the biggest hits and most popular movies in the industry, which manages a re-release every year with housefull shows even now. His movie 'Cheluve ninna nodalu' is shot in 7 wonders of the world and his another movie Tamassu directed by journalist and activist Agni Shridhar which deals with Hindu Muslims riots. His 100th movie Jogayya is the sequel to his blockbuster movie Jogi. His new movie 'Shiva' is waiting to get release soon. As an evidence to his glories work in kannada films, he has won 4 filmfare (Om-1995, Nammora Mandara Hoove-1996, A.K.47-1999 and Thamassu-2010) and 4 state awards(Om-1995, Hrudaya Hrudaya-1999, Chigurida Kanasu-2004 and Jogi-2005) in the best actor category. He has also won numerous Cine-Express, Sirigannada, ETV awards. Apart from his acting, shivanna is a very good singer, and also a very good dancer. He is also a renounced promotional model. Shivaraj Kumar married Geeta, the daughter of Late Former Chief minister of the Karnataka S.Bangarappa in the same year, when he made is debut to film industry. The couple have two daughters Niveditha and Nirupama. July 12th 2012 Many representatives of the fans associations and Shivu Adda members will be there at Shivanna's Nagavara Residence. Shivanna though will be out of Bangalore that night and will return early morning on 12th, Shivu aDDa members are undertaking a specia programme to spend time and help the HIV Infected kids who are deserted by their own kith and kin. Shivu Adda members will be taking care of such kids. The kids will be taken care by an organization which has its premises in Sarjapur Road. The 12th July birthday celebrations will still be a low key affair, but for the fans. Shivaraj Kumar has decided to organise a special function on 25th July when he has plans of distributing Rs. 1 lac to the Kannada medium schools in Hyderabad and Northern Karnataka for developing their infrastructure. Sources said even Power Star Puneet Raj Kumar will be donating funds for this noblest purpose. Some of the Kannada medium students who have secured high percentage of marks will be felicitated during the 25th special celebration organized.
