Very high frequency
Very high frequency (VHF) is the ITU designation for the range of radio frequency electromagnetic waves (radio waves) from 30 MHz to 300 MHz, with corresponding wavelengths of ten to one meters. Frequencies immediately below VHF are denoted high frequency (HF), and the next higher frequencies are known as ultra high frequency (UHF).
Common uses for VHF are FM radio broadcasting, television broadcasting, two way land mobile radio systems (emergency, business, private use and military), long range data communication up to several tens of kilometres with radio modems, amateur radio, and marine communications. Air traffic control communications and air navigation systems (e.g. VOR, DME & ILS) work at distances of 100 kilometres or more to aircraft at cruising altitude.
VHF was used for analog television stations in the US, and continues to be used for digital television.
Propagation characteristics
VHF propagation characteristics are suited for short-distance terrestrial communication, with a range generally somewhat farther than line-of-sight from the transmitter (see formula below).

Note that the frequency increases exponentially, the idea was to increase the frequency by constant fraction of currently played frequency rather than by a constant value (which would result in clearly noticeable fast change at lower frequencies and nearly no change at higher frequencies). Hearing Test HD
Hearing Test in HD quality. Sinusoidal wave starting at 20 Hz frequency and going up to 20 kHz frequency. It's recommended that you listen to this using headphones. If you can't hear anything above 16000 Hertz it's probably because Youtube's audio compression cut off frequencies above 16kHz. Try watching in HD to get better audio quality. Update: Youtube no longer seems to cut of frequencies above 16kHz at least when encoding as opus audio stream. There is still lossy compression and there are visible distortions at high end of the spectrum (high frequencies). If you don't hear low frequencies it's your hardware! Most decent headphones should be able to play low frequencies, for loudspeakers check their specification. They could have frequency range (min) starting at 40Hz or 80Hz or ...

Hearing Test in HD quality. Sinusoidal wave starting at 20 Hz frequency and going up to 20 kHz frequency.
It's recommended that you listen to this using headphones. If you can't hear anything above 16000 Hertz it's probably because Youtube's audio compression cut off frequencies above 16kHz. Try watching in HD to get better audio quality.
Update:
Youtube no longer seems to cut of frequencies above 16kHz at least when encoding as opus audio stream. There is still lossy compression and there are visible distortions at high end of the spectrum (high frequencies).
If you don't hear low frequencies it's your hardware! Most decent headphones should be able to play low frequencies, for loudspeakers check their specification. They could have frequency range (min) starting at 40Hz or 80Hz or in case of build in laptop/tablet speakers 120Hz or higher.
For other end of the spectrum (high frequencies) it's more sophisticated. Again, it's best to listen using headphones, but you also need good Digital to Analog Converter (DAC). If your soundcard uses DSP processor it is best to turn it off and switch to "Stereo Direct" mode (if it offers such possibility). Also disable any modification to the original signal like equalizers or "bass boost" in your hardware/software. All these features modify original signal and might distort it to the point that high frequency components will be lost.
If you have quality DAC and headphones/speakers and can't hear above certain frequency, then it's most likely your hearing. To be 100% sure ask someone with better hearing (someone younger). Generally, if children can hear it on the same hardware and you can't, it's above your hearing threshold.

How do you like the noise?
The creation process involved a DAW (digital audio workstation), ProTools. A audio signal generator was utilized to create noise which is then equalized to create noise only above 5kHz. The audio is recorded from the generator for 10 hours. This audio has an equalizer inserted which I programmed with a mid-frequency boost and width of about 1/2 octave. This boost frequency was then programmed to shift over time with a reoccurring period around 60 seconds. The exported into a video editing program, Magix Vegas. A corresponding video is created with custom graphics I made in the video program. The visual is animated, then married to the audio and rendered out to the full length final video.

Sinusoidal wave going trough entire human audio spectrum, starting at 20Hz and ending at 20kHz. Note that the frequency increases exponentially, the idea was to increase the frequency by constant fraction of currently played frequency rather than by a constant value (which would result in clearly noticeable fast change at lower frequencies and nearly no change at higher frequencies). Enjoy.
Note: This wave has the same volume level measured by acoustic pressure all the time, however human sound perception differs depending on frequency. For lower frequencies (below 1kHz) you might want to increase your volume, but don't forget to lower it later to avoid damage to your hearing.
If you don't hear anything below 40-50Hz even at full volume your audio hardware is probably incapable of playing lowest frequencies. You might want to try to listen on the headphones in such case. Also if you stop hearing sound somewhere between 10kHz - 20kHz - do not increase your volume for safety reasons. Every human hears a bit differently and have different hearing thresholds. Hearing range also changes with age. Younger people can usually hear higher frequencies.

Very high frequency
Very high frequency (VHF) is the ITU designation for the range of radio frequency electromagnetic waves (radio waves) from 30 MHz to 300 MHz, with corresponding wavelengths of ten to one meters. Frequencies immediately below VHF are denoted high frequency (HF), and the next higher frequencies are known as ultra high frequency (UHF).
Common uses for VHF are FM radio broadcasting, television broadcasting, two way land mobile radio systems (emergency, business, private use and military), long range data communication up to several tens of kilometres with radio modems, amateur radio, and marine communications. Air traffic control communications and air navigation systems (e.g. VOR, DME & ILS) work at distances of 100 kilometres or more to aircraft at cruising altitude.
VHF was used for analog television stations in the US, and continues to be used for digital television.
Propagation characteristics
VHF propagation characteristics are suited for short-distance terrestrial communication, with a range generally somewhat farther than line-of-sight from the transmitter (see formula below).
