Legacy is a 2000 documentary film directed by Tod Lending. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.
The movie tracks 3 different generations (over 5 years) of a family in Chicago that lives in the ghettos. Their lives change, however, after a life-altering event - the murder of a family member - slowly changes them to have a more positive outlook on life.
Go down to the sea
Put your ears to the ground
And open your heart to the waves
And the sounds that they make
As they break along the shore
Never more to pass this way again
Open your eyes to the cries of the plane
And look to the skies
For a life that you won't see again
As the silence cuts the glen
Never more to pass this way again
Never coming through here, oh no
My time is through here, that I know
And all that I leave I bequeth to my son
And beg his forgiveness, for all that I've done in his name
As the cycle comes to end
Never more to pass this way again
Never coming through here my friend
I know my road has reached the end
Never coming through here
Never coming through here my friend
That's it, the end
But you'll get over it my friend
Time will pass, governments fall
Glaciers melt, hurricanes bawl
High speed trains take us away
North or south and back the same day
And you, you'll get over it
You do, you get over it
Seasons will change more or less
Species vanish, art perplex
Resentment remain both east and west
Police expect an arrest
For now you'll get over it
Somehow you'll get over it
You'll be there the king of other water
In despair recoiling from the slaughter
They're raising an army in the north
From York Minster to the Firth of Forth
A pilgrimage of grace you won't believe it
Such a human face when you receive it
And you will get over it
With time to kill you'll get over it
There's a cruiser waiting at Scapa Flow
To take you away from all you know
The old man agonized
He really has compromised
Public opinion may not be on your side
There are those who think they've been taken for a ride
You'll get over it, I'm on your side because
You'll get over it and what a ride it was
Tout les artistes dans le monde
Chantent pour toi ce soir
Tout les artistes dans le monde
Chantent pour toi c'est noir
It's dark but you'll get over it
On your mark, you'll get over it
That Carphone Warehouse boy has been on the phone
He wants to upgrade the mobile you own
Have you realized your computer's a spy
Give him a ring he'll explain why
The bourgeoisie will get over it
Look at me I'm so over it
And you, you'll get over it
You do, you get over it in time
for over a decade now this band of hell raising stoners
has wreaked havoc from coast to coast
leaving a trail of illegal contriband and destruction in their wake
but when the smoke clears their legand will be etched in time forever
You used to be as a child
Full of hope and wonder
Hey, now, do you remember those days
Your mind was free and running wild
Now the sound of thunder
Has got you trapped in a corner hiding out
You're running in a rat maze
You better think about the legacy
That you want to leave behind
It's all getting burnt-out, used-up
Bought and sold to the bottom line
That ain't the way it's gotta be
You can leave a better world than you find
You can look down, turn aside, run away
But you can't put it out of your mind
'Cause it's your legacy
Don't it make your heart bleed
Passing through the meadowland
Wheel of fortune jackpot is what it looks like
That's okay, go on, run your motor at high speed
Rev it up to five grand
Shades on, top down
But as you barrel down the turnpike
You better think about the legacy
That you're gonna leave behind
Things are getting wasted out of hand
People stealing each other blind
Hey, that ain't the way it oughta be
You can leave a better world than you find
You can look down, turn around, run away
But you can't put it out of your mind
'Cause it's your legacy
It isn't easy when you think your voice
Doesn't matter to anyone
Maybe you believe there's nothing you can do
But if you just do nothing, you've made a choice
To perpetuate the destruction
Why don't you stand up, dig in
When it all comes down, it's gotta begin with you
It's you
It's your legacy
Baby, whatcha gonna do about it
You better think about the legacy
That you want to leave behind
Things are getting wasted, out-of-hand, burnt-out, used-up
Sold to the bottom line
Hey, that ain't the way it's gotta be
Oh, don't you want to leave a better world than you find
You can look down, turn aside, run away and hide
But you can't put it out of your mind
'Cause it's your legacy
Oh, your legacy
Look here
It's gotta start somewhere, Jack
If you don't go forward, you're gonna go back
Hey, you better get a plan of attack
'Cause that's the only way that you're gonna keep track
Of your legacy
Dead president, fuck the president
Mansons strive for power while I work to save my residents
He owns you even though he never told you
Mark of the beast on ya hand now he owns you
Thrown down to the bottom level
Ruled by the fist and the fist is the devil
I medamorphisize and make myself level
We are the future, we are right now
Right now
I'm taking a stab at the sick, sick, sick
I know what evil is and evil could suck my dick
Like Sam Hain and God ain't no joke
Ya better watch ya neck 'cause ya might get choked
We are the future, we are right now
We are the future
You sink we swim we rise you fall we met our fate together
I was here from the start and I'll be here in the end
In the end
I'm dodgin' arrows from the dark side everyday
And I'm a main target 'cause of what I say[Incomprehensible][Incomprehensible]
Thrown down to the bottom level
Ruled by the fist and the fist is the devil
I medamorphisize and make myself level
Yeah, c'mon
Yeah, c'mon
We are the future, we are right now
I'll fuck the future
You sink we swim we rise you fall we met our fate together
I was here from the start and I'll be here in the end
In the end
Legacy, legacy, legacy, legacy
I was here from the start and I'll be here in the end
In the end
Oh the memories
Of all the things that shouldn't be
They take you away from all you should be
Don't let it go by as if you agree
Nightmares of the past will fade away
The future of your name is what will stay
Never try to blame the past for everything you say
You have the power you need to change your legacy
Do you really want to be just like the very ones you blame who take you away from all you should be
Don't just stand by as if you agree
Think of the future and when you are gone how will you be remembered then
I've been around for some time now
And I really don't care what some people think about me
I've been called a lot of things some good, some bad
I've had many people doubt me
I'm not ashamed of anything when it comes to this
I stay true to the game
And when the flames were burning slow
I grabbed the torch and let everybody know
What the music, the scene means to me
With pride and sincerity
Handed down by our brothers
Is this our legacy?
I've been around the world and back again
I've had the privilege of watching this grow
Transcend beyond the streets, the clubs, the trends
Beyond anything we had imagined
That's what the music, the scene means to me
Pride and integrity
Handed down by our brothers
Is this our legacy?
Madball
Legacy
This is our legacy
It's an honor for us, for me
To stand side by side with those who paved the way for me
It's an honor for us to see so many showing respect
Even those who doubted me and it's only the beginning
That's what the music, the scene means to me
Pride and integrity
Handed down by our brothers
What will they say when I'm Gone, in words
That are written in stone?
Under my name, what will they claim
About me?
Oh, I want to leave a legacy to be remembered
More than just a memory that fades away
Because we only, we only get one life
Free me, my hands are tied
I'm so tired of wasting time
These endless inventions steal my
Attention from real life
And when it's done, when it's over...
And will the world see Christ when they
Look at my life?
Oh, will they world see?
MMM, come on, give me, give me, give me real life
And no more, no more, no more wasting time
Millions of years ago
Utopian life arose
Through my prolific eyes
Watched my equals grow
To a mess
They failed the test
But life was already conceived
Nothing he could retreive
Rolled out a second batch
And found they could repeat
Through a storm
I must reform
A legacy was made to warn man
The legacy
Has risen to warn again
Forty days of rain
Washed the ill away
Pairs of all living things
Stepped on ground to stay
Multiply
The land is dry
A legacy
Was made to warn man
The legacy
Has risen to warn again
A legacy
Was made to warn man
The legacy
Has risen to warn again
Hear the voice--hear the voice
Noah cried he said
Breathe the air
But learn from my life time
Be aware
Prepare
Wrote down these special words
In hope they would be read
People of modern day
Can often be misled
Circumstance
We've got a chance
A legacy
Was made to warn man
The legacy
Has risen to warn again
A legacy was made to warn man
The legacy has risen to warn again
I don't mind if you've got something nice to say about me
And I enjoy an accolade like the rest
And you can take my picture and hang it in a gallery
Of all the "who's who's" and so-and-so's
That used to be the best at such and such
It wouldn't matter much
I won't lie, it feels alright to see your name in lights
We all need an "atta boy" or "atta girl"
But in the end I'd like to hang my hat on more besides
The temporary trappings of this world
I want to leave a legacy
How will they remember me?
Did I choose to love?
Did I point to You enough
To make a mark on things
I want to leave an offering
A child of mercy and grace
Who blessed Your name unapologetically
And leave that kind of legacy
I don't have to look too far or too long awhile
To make a lengthy list of all that I enjoy
It's an accumulating trinket and a treasure pile
Where moth and rust, thieves and such will soon
enough destroy
I want to leave a legacy
How will they remember me?
Did I choose to love?
Did I point to You enough
To make a mark on things
I want to leave an offering
A child of mercy and grace
Who blessed Your name unapologetically
And leave that kind of legacy
Not well-traveled, not well-read
Not well-to-do, or well-bred
I just want to hear instead
Well done, good and faithful one
I want to leave a legacy
How will they remember me?
Did I choose to love?
Did I point to You enough
To make a mark on things?
I want to leave an offering
A child of mercy and grace
Who blessed Your name unapologetically
And leave that kind of legacy
Loving ‘em all And despising ‘em all yeah Seen a rebel
Who’s know living into me
And startin' me up
And he’s locking me up
You gotta stop
2-3-4
I don’t fuck you – you don’t fuck me
Oh yeah, oh yeah
I need to get pissed
To come out and show me
I gotta be freed
From my vanity forcing me
To satisfy
Who i’m refusing to be
You gotta stop
2-3-4
I don’t fuck you – you don’t fuck me
If you feel transition to your other life
Don't need money to be there
Leave behind your money just to prove your worth
Won't be here so I don't care
If you strap your conscience to your vision thing
Won't be here so I don't care
Prove your worth to people that you can call your friends
Won't be here so I don't care
I wouldn't care if I was washed up tomorrow you see
Reading novels is banned by the Marquis De Sade
All your relationships are emptying and temporary
Life is wearing me thin
I feel so drained, my legacy
A sea of faces just like me
I've been drained emotion is a bitter thing
Won't be here so I don't care
I concede relationships have left me weak
Won't be here so I don't care
Look for something worthy to replace my guilt
Won't be here so I don't care
Prove my worth to people who I can call my friends
Won't be here so I don't care
[Intro]
This song is a tribute
To the families and loved ones of Cassie and Rachel
The two young ladies that were martyred
At the incident at Columbine High School in 1999
[Verse One]
Who would have known that a couple of guys from Columbine
Would come from behind- put guns to the spine
Of some innocent people- the teachers, the students
The feet of the teachers are screeching through rooms
The mood has been set by the fear of the villains
The bombs and the threats are by Eric and Dillon
America's villains- generic you're feeling
It is not- it is the plot for a pair that is chilling
In the glorious heavens, standing for Christ in a crisis
I know that it's rare what I'm feeling
Excitement incited- declaring the Pilgrims'
Faith and their fate I'ma share with my children
Cassie and Rachel, the past of the patrons
That passed through the ages in Africa, Asia
The Master that saved you, the laughter, the hatred
Jesus predicted that the masses would hate you
[Hook]
So, don't think it strange if a change might occur
If it does, are you ready and prepared for the curve
And a turn for the worst- would you fight, would you fall
Would you die for the Christ, that's the price of the call
[Verse Two]
Frustrated by the snares and the toils, parents annoy you
Truth of the matter is we're arrogant, spoiled
America's soil has soiled us, sort of
And pastors insist on declaring us royal
And it's true that we are but we take it too far
To the point where we break and we take down the bar
And forsake all the parts of The Faith that are hard
To embrace after all we've outsmarted the martyrs
We race up the charts- if you trace it to the start
You will find that the way to escape from the dark
And your wake is to carve off the weight and the heart
Of the truth, until everybody loves you
Jesus said woe to you old and new saints
That hold a view that you can go through The Faith
With nobody loathing you, that's a view
That you only can hold when your home is the states
[Hook]
[Verse Three]
The bones that are picked are the bones that depict
That they combed through their homes with the stones and the sticks
The aromas- a stench- so they rose up against them
At home and at Rome- throwing stones at the Christians
Got a hold of them- gripped them, kicked them, scarred them
Saw them, sawed them- they were thrown in a pit
With the toads and the vermin- I'm rolling the clips
It's urgent the scourges- the groans from the licks
The anger, the stranglers, the hangers, the danger
For all of the Christians that rolled in a clique
Ended up in the teeth of the beast that would feast
On the saints that would preach- they were thrown over cliffs
This is not known to exist in the states
Or the place where the home is just bliss
This song is intense- 'cause it's truth
And I'm trying to convince you that no one's exempt
Yet no one's equipped
Got our phones on our clips
Our focus is both on our loans and our cribs
Our fitness- our business has grown in a pinch
Would you fight would you fall
Would you ball up your fist
Would you falter or march to your grave 'cause you're saved
And your life is in Christ and to die is to gain
Would you die in His name
For the rise of His fame
Despising the shame
Chances to move mountains are few & far between,
But only unseen by those who choose them to be.
Live every day like it's your last chance to be heard & seen,
Because the good die young & the great change the course of history.
Stop blending in & start speaking out!
You'll never know what you can do if you don't try now.
Lift up your eyes discouraged one.
Keep moving forward until your battles have been won.
They say you were created to do great things,
But words only come to life when you believe.
Stop blending in.
Start speaking out!
Don't miss your opportunity.
Do you have the courage to follow your heart?
Your life could be over before you ever had a chance to start.
Take what you can get while you can get it
And don't let anybody stand in your way.
If you've got what it takes, make them believe it.
They need to hear you from a mile away!
They say you were created to do great things,
But words only come to life when you believe.
Stop blending in.
Start speaking out!
Don't miss your opportunity.
Lift up your eyes discouraged one.
When you feel like giving up,
When they say it can't be done
It's up to you to show them why they're wrong.
Lift up your eyes discouraged one.
When you feel like giving up,
When they say it can't be done
It's up to you to show them why they're wrong.
Lift up your eyes discouraged one.
When you feel like giving up,
When they say it can't be done
Show them they're wrong!
What you do is up to you.
Follow your heart & you will never lose.
They say you were created to do great things,
But words only come to life when you believe!
You were created to do great things,
But words only come to life when you believe.
Stop blending in.
Start speaking out!
Don't miss your opportunity.
Reach for the sky!
Nothing's impossible when you realize the strength is inside.
Embrace the struggle when it's all you can see.
Sleep well my friend.
This is not the end.
You planted the seeds of so many dreams.
We'll keep your stars inside of all our hearts.
'Twas you lit the flame.
Spawned what we became.
We bickered and whined.
But all of the time you only wanted the best for all of us.
This is my rose for you.
This is my toast to you.
Farewell Lora.
In my dreams I can wake up Lora.
I remember the time.
I broke down and cried.
You took my shaking hand.
Turned the ocean to sand.
I wish I could share just one last supper with you.
I'm begging on my knees.
For one more chance to give my gratitude.
Let's rendezvous in my dreams.
From York to California.
Toronto to Niagara Falls.
I wish for that final phone call again.
I would not be the man that I am today without you.
Thank you from all of us.
I'll fake a smile
If you do too
I'd say that I would die for you
When the rain falls down
I watch our colors drown
And it's not alright
When you're the sparkle
In my darkest night
(Chorus:)
You can love me
You can lead me
But we're only digging a hole
Can you save me?
When there's just one way
We can go
You're wrong no matter
What you say
We're like the sunlight
We will fade
When you hold my hand
And launch me where I stand
Before I land
I wanna give you up
But I just can't
(Chorus)
You can shake me
But you can't make me
Cause we're only digging a hole
C'mon baby
Stop this crazy
Heart breakin show
(Bridge:)
Nothing sacred
Ghost white orchid
Just before it dries and bends
I've read this story
Many times
And I know how it always ends
Future's here
The time has come to pass the torch
Now go and touch the sky every time that you breathe
I hope you've learned
To covet not the evil ways
Live your life
Free free
From carnal lust
Hedonistic decadence and lies
Are you strong?
Turn from heathen ways?
Will you ride?
Ride with me the open road
Part of me is now part of you
My legacy is how I live on
The circle formed
We are joined across space and time
Many days will pass you by
And you'll still hear these words to you
Many things to realize
The hope I give sustaining you
Wear the armor of righteousness each day
Then forever in glory we'll remain
Will you bend?
When the hammer falls?
Are you steel?
Inquisitions search you out
Part of me is now part of you
My legacy is how I live on
The circle formed
We are joined across space and time
Part of you is now part of me
Our legacy it's how we live on
Relational bonds
Not just wayfaring souls set to fly
With empty minds and vacant stares
Our lifeless generation is drawn
Toward the illusions of endless offered bait
The same selective vision
Let boxcars carry millions to their cremation
Inaction masked by pseudo satisfaction
So many lives have burned away
"Another night with nothing to do" is an infection
When anger has no motive and force has no direction
A lack of self control invites every distraction
We're leaving a trail wherever we go,
Pushing so hard that we never slow,
To stop and wonder what we've left
For this world to know.
Somewhere deep in my heart
I wish I knew for sure
What you'd remember me
When I'm not here anymore.
The Lord has a way of healing the past,
Of taking your best and making it last.
I want to leave a legacy of love for you
That will add up to more
Than this simple man could ever be.
I want to leave a legacy.
When the hard winds blow,
Like a feather we spin.
If we've fallen asleep,
We may waken again to find
We've long been judged so blind, so deaf.
So when it's all said and done
I pray this one thing is left:
That I may leave a legacy of love for you
That will add up to more
Than this simple man could ever be.
Lord, help me leave a legacy.
With things unseen,
God will bring reality from a dream.
That's what His Spirit does.
Time keeps slipping away
With ev'ry word that I say.
He is the good in us.
And my hopes and desires
Are what I want you to see.
They're not what I am
But what I'd like to be.
Jesus died and is risen to redeem mankind.
So when all seems lost
Keep this is mind:
That He has left a legacy of love for you
That will add up to more
Than any man could ever be.
And if God will shed His grace on me
We have nothing to fear but fear itself
This is the war we fight alone
This is the war we fight alone
Hell abandoned-all the demons are here
Winding through the entrails that we own
Purify me from the first born's legacy
Rescue me and one day I'll be free
I travel to the inside
Where nemesis awaits
There is no place to hide
And it's lurking in the shades
A hundred times he kills me
And gains the upper hand
But if I win I'll get the key
To my promised land
Lust for revenge, the urge takes over
This is the war we fight alone
This is the war we fight alone
How can I build up a core of resistance?
Strengthen me to endure what I see
Purify me from the first born's legacy
Rescue me and one day I'll be free
I travel to the inside
Where nemesis awaits
There is no place to hide
And it's lurking in the shades
A hundred times he kills me
And gains the upper hand
But if I win I'll get the key
December '61.
my Dad's wages light.
Still on that salary
we, all four, could sleep tight.
Right now if you drank from
that very same well,
you'd need a run of luck
to score a bed in a trick hotel.
Is this the legacy of
too much for too few
that I see?
The kind of legacy that's
tossin' some good men
to their knees.
The "Great Society's"
maligned concrete cage
sits dead and vacant now -
at least it kept out rain.
With all those corners cut
the cracks grow wide and near.
I heard some cash was saved
but where it's gone ain't clear..
Who goes down next I don't know.
I don't know nothin' anymore.
Tomorrow's legacy that's
layin' in state
awaits reprieve.
I always thought that when a man goes down
you do your best to pick him up.
But how can the milk of kindness trickle down
when it's syphoned off and cheats the cup?
Your selfishness you apart hell the hands
Through the hell of back
Survival the breaking point the undisputed
Disgust the watched for bitter end
Overcome the will truth and triumph
Breaking grand the discourage comes fast
Destination the vessel the grand
She has fallen
Destroy the wisdom the brigade of survive
Stand your ground
The certain of death
Tides of judgement and tragedy
Get the known the survival
Seeking the solidarity the ground
Killing with of disgust
Revenge by fate
Stick to silence
Fight everyone
With the watched your comes pain
Descent your fighting everyone
Once fighting the battles
Change of the fight everyone
Fight the navigator the battles
The grave maker the changes made
Know the score hell
Blackening fight the reclaiming
Does it get lonely in the day
All by yourself in this big old place
Do you ever come out and play
Scream out loud or walk the stage
And maybe you are looking down tonight
Maybe you can see
Burning like an old spotlight
Shining down on me
Oh it must be great
To have this enormous estate
Rebecca, do you think it's fate
That brought me here onto your stage
And you always played it by heart
Like a patron saint, a patron of the arts
Was it ever hard to justify it
To someone else, or to yourself
Rebecca, I know you understand
Why I write these songs
Rebecca, I overheard the plan
But I don't know what happens when you're gone
And whether I write three chords
Or a symphony
At least I'm gonna try to leave behind
Some kind of legacy
So Rebecca, if you're looking down tonight
Then maybe you can see
Burning like an old spot light
This legacy left behind
And maybe you are looking down tonight
Maybe you can see
Burning like an old spotlight
[Timbo King]
The Legacy, get your minds ready, get your rhymes ready
And held a breath of life, resurrect the death of Christ
What you got to sacrifice, I'm on some other shit
Takeover the mothership, brothers get to claim the covenant
Universal lovin it, olive oil you rubbin it
Check the thermometer, ever kilometer
Rise by heat pressure, your thermostat couldn't measure
Royal Familia, atoms bombs from Asquilia
Dark Ages, so read the page, Mike and Alenki
Born on the cross between love and lust
Genisis thru exeuse, larzurus, slash black barnibus
The holy temple be the mental, You and see Islamic
Can you understand the clear picture
[Chorus]
Braveheart, verbal courage, battle the seminar
Royal Fam Legacy, watch us travel far
Positive energy, always corrects errors, Royal Fam rule shit
Now and forever, what
[Timbo King]
Orotorical, niggaz is metaphorical
My editorial breaks down your monuments historical
Geologist studyin land, usin the earth's crust
Measurements, eight elements, atomic weight plus density
Hi-Techs, science, thrustal gravity
Revolve around my oro, I'm the soul that keeps spinnin, what
Supernova, black quasar, my mental radar picks up
Frequencies beyond the earth's equator
Forver glow, electro, magnetic force field
Thoughts build, we bomb for real, Royal Fam still exists
Golden fist, your caught up in the devil's mist
Fire war, royal sire laws, reveal this
Protons, electrons, atoms cause explosions
My center of atraction, I'm the nucleus, you're frozen
My square be complete, architectual, visual
The sound spectrum strikes the mental then the physical
My perimeter damns your diameter
Bar codes are scanned from America to Canada
What, from America to Canada
Get your mind ready
[Chorus]
[Outro]
Get your minds ready, Get your minds ready, Royal Fam Legacy
Long will be the time of truth
Where the tails will be forgotten, by all
Out now you can see
There're too many lies
You feel
There're too many signs
There will be
another world and life
Without lies, hates and jealousies
No more tears
and no more fears at all
Where the law will be a legacy
No one will kill another
for a piece of bread Or having toys
for children
But now you can see
There're too many things
The worse
Never gives the paid
There will be
another world and life
Without lies, hates and jealousies
No more tears
and no more fears at all
Where the law will be a legacy
[SOLO]
You see
There're too many lies
You feel
There're too many signs
There will be
another world and life
Without lies, hates and jealousies
No more tears
and no more fears at all
Where the law will be a legacy
Ho Gur naalo ishq metha, ho hoo
Gur naalo ishq metha, haye haaye
Ho raba lag na kisay nu jawey
Gur naalo ishq metha
Ho Gur naalo ishq metha, ho hoo
Gur naalo ishq metha, haye haaye
Ho raba lag na kisay nu jawey
O Gur naalo ishq metha
O mishri karak boldi, ho hoo
[Intro:]
(And the situation I'm in right now really can't help)
(I had to let her go...)
(Rebeezza! )
[Verse 1:]
Changed mind to say at least
I use to break fast til it turns to beef
It use to be only yes to know his cheating
Now I don't go to far like I'm on a leash
You just a loop to my reset button
And I memorized it all so I regret nothing
Yea I fell for you but I damn show won't stay down
You had me boxed in to long it's time to break out
[Chorus:]
See ya touch feels great but I just can't break cause I know
All that you wanted is for me to take risk but I won't
My conscience keep telling me don't breath don't breathe
No cause your just to deep in love
Don't breath don't breath and u want me to drown but
I ain't gone let you pull me down
Said I ain't gone let you pull me down
No I ain't gone let you pull me down
[Verse 2:]
She said she love me but I ain't say it back cause
If I stated that then I may stay attached
And that's the last thing that a nigga needed
I kill that effing loop before I let the shit repeat
Itself over again (myself over again)
A snail losing a shell could reveal how they pretend
To not care in pose as unsure
That's why I rock a shell cause if I lose it I'm yours
[Chorus:]
See ya touch feels great but I just can't break cause I know
All that you wanted is for me to take risk but I won't
My conscience keep telling me don't breath don't breathe
No cause your just to deep in love
Don't breath don't breath and u want me to drown but
I ain't gone let you pull me down
Said I ain't gone let you pull me down
No I ain't gone let you pull me down
(I mean... I know it wasn't fair to her...)
(I felt like I was going to lose myself trying to find her)
[Verse 3:]
The other day I sent her flowers with a note attached
It read I really miss home so I'm going back
I know it's short notice so I'm really hoping that
You not to mad and you could still pick up the phone and chat
It's ironic when I think about this shit
I mean not tryna lose you is the reason that I left
My conscience said to hold my breath in
I'm flying but I couldn't stand to see you live with a lie
So I'm kissing you bye
[Chorus:]
See ya touch feels great but I just can't break cause I know
All that you wanted is for me to take risk but I won't
My conscience keep telling me don't breath don't breathe
No cause your just to deep in love
Don't breath don't breath and u want me to drown but
I gon' let you pull me down I ain't gone let you pull me down
Throw it back again, now you see you're against the wall.
Torn with indifference, between the ones who have lost it all.
Someday you'll piece this together, and maybe then you'd redeem this soul.
There's nothing left here for you to rape, or take for your own.
Because you couldn't seem, You couldn't seem to, to speak the truth.
I'll never be the one to save you, I'll never be the one,
Until you admit that you were wrong.
If it means I'll get to watch you burn,
I'll be the one who'll light the first match.
If it means I'll get to watch you burn,
I'll be the one who lights that match
No one will hear you, your own demons will rip you apart
No one will hear you, your own demons will rip you apart
There's no hope left for you now, Your living in the shadows of hell.
Because you couldn't seem, You couldn't seem to, to speak the truth.
I'll never be the one to save you, I'll never be the one,
Until you admit that you were wrong.
You cried out for redemption but even you couldn't save yourself.
Tell ya leaders that I need some proof
Way beyond the common signs
I'm tryna seek the truth
Nobody seems to understand the shit that we could do
As a group you're barely focused on a better you
We've all given up
Just go look at them planes in the sky
And you'll see the death of us
Chemicals is frying our mind till it's nothing left of em
Like don't we stress enough?
No wonder we've been messing up
No wonder why we can't focus
Sippin out the devil's cup and liking it
No wonder we've been diving in
This motherfucking crisis
Feeling we're the only 5 percent that's holding all the fucking weight
Another day inside this bitch I swear that I'ma fucking break
So should I try again?
Would you listen if I told you we could fight and win?
We asking why try instead of why ammend
And we don't ever try to look and that's why they ain't hiding shit
Light it on December 31st
Then I'll hold it in till next year
Just so if the world ends I could die blown
I'm saying fuck that shit anyway
I wasn't born here anyway
We are not the same, same, same, same
I wasn't supposed to live anyway
Them racist motherfuckers wanted me dead
verse:
I've always been the type to put you first,
even if it seemed like you ain't deserve it
and i know that sometimes i made you hurt
but i swear that i ain't do it on purpose
The problem was that you would hear me,
but respond based on only what you were feeling
which led to frustration, that sparked the beggining of
the ending (just hear me)
I've never been the type to give all my love,
all my love
Last time i found love, i lost my trust
in the heart of a battle i always won
but,but
you know my dumbass gave all my love, all my love
knwing that the outcome would probably be the the same old shit that it always was
and i fell so hard, that i let my gaurd back when i first me her
anything that was keeping me safe, got lost when i read that letter
it's like i dove from a rock into a deep ass lake
and my feet wouldn't touch the sand at the bottom
ice cold but I'm warm cuz i'm next to the core
that deep inlove
Man,i never knew that looking at the stars could be so fucking downing, why is it so damn hard to
move on from your ass shit
and everything be all good
some break-ups be easy, man, i think they all shoud
(i said man, i think they all should)
(i'm like man, i think they all should)
(some break-ups be easy)
(damn it i just lost love)
Girl:
I will see you someday
i hope maybe one day
we can go back to the way
[Chorus: Legacy]
Look up on a cloudy night
And I bet that you'll see a star
Come back tryin' to make it work
And I won't even know who you are
There's no way that we can be one
If we're already torn apart
I have movin'
Movin' away from your heart
[Verse 1:]
Through all this tragedy we up
You can't be mad that we done
It's like karma's a real bitch Natalie Nunn
It's funny casue now you sayin shit like you miss me
Some months ago you ain't want shit to do with me
But now that I'm more she wanna smash again
I think she scared I pulled a Kardashian
Oh well, you wearin diapers
I do big shit now
If you pull up I don't need you
I'm a big kid now, get it (haha)
I'll never bring chick out in public
Like a tranny I don't mean to be a dick but fuck it
If lovin' you was right than I guess I'm too wrong
I pretend the volver was in my way I gotta move
If you buggin' me than all I'm gonna get is pissed off
Like, I'm recommendin' you to buy a shell and get lost
Better do what Daphne did and get a clue
You're never gonna see me again but I bet if you...
[Chorus: Tinashe]
Look up on a cloudy night
And I bet that you'll see a star (see a star)
Come back tryin' to make it work
And I won't even know who you are (oh, oh, oh)
There's no way that we can be one
If we're already torn apart
I have movin'
Movin' away from your heart...
[Verse 2: Legacy Talking]
I kinda think it was wrong that it got started
So bad that we started beefin' on a song
Got me actin out that anger that I promised was past
And besides I gotta new boo now she's an actress
So that means she don't need nothin' from me
She's a multi-millionare, shoulda seen all this money
And a chick who stay real is the chick who can't fail
She is I-n-d oh shit you can't spell...
Shile you we're schemin' on getting rich and shit and bought more
Cause that louie bag I bought you change right to the store
And that Gucci bag I bought you can't pay's next month's rent
How you doubling your worth if your money just got spent
Unlike the people who play sports for a livin'
If you slow me down I ain't fuckin' with it
You better do what Velma did and never get a clue
You're never gonna see me again but I bet if you...
[Chorus: Tinashe]
Look up on a cloudy night
And I bet that you'll see a star (see a star)
Come back tryin' to make it work
And I won't even know who you are (oh, oh, oh)
There's no way that we can be one (you had your chance)
If we're already torn apart (I'm famous now)
I have movin'
Movin' away from your heart...
Legacy
(oooooo....)
(ay...)
Verse:
It's like i'm always gone,
and she wait for me all night long
Said i work nights, so don't call my phone
But really some groupie is all i'm doing
And this girl try hard to make sure we both work
but in my head ther is no "we" just "me"
and with that said, we gone hurt
but in my heart, under that stone
there's still no room for me to come back home
But i don't know why, when she on the porch
i can't find the courage to open that door
what i'm tying to say is that i love you
but just haven't learned the right way to love
I almost shed a tear when i aked her what she tought about us
Chourus:
She said my love ain't right
I'm always gone
but when she come home late, she always wrong
I think my trust ain't right
and we both know that i got too much pride to let that show
i know my love ain't right
but what the fuck do i do?
don't want to be stuck in this room, thinking of how to love you
i know my love ain't right, and that alright
i'ma learn how to love her
[Verse 1:]
Uh, she said the last was off key when he tried to do it
So she threw me a pitch and I auto-tuned it
Made it correct, I just renewed her
Now everybody after me was all weak to her
Hit by a silver bullet and I'm still a beast
I'm her top supplier, I think I'm Big Meech
She said the first love was surplus, but yours wasn't
Hit it so hard the rubber broke on the first punch
[Chorus: Oktane]
I'm a do it how you want it [x7]
Make ya body say "yeah yeah"
(Make ya body say)
Make ya body say "yeah yeah"
(Make ya body goooooo)
Make ya body say "yeah yeah"
(Make ya body say)
Make ya body say "yeah yeah"
(Make ya body goooooo)
[Verse 2:]
Uh, and we do it in her Lexus while the sun goin' down
Make the windows resemble precious after running a mile
Iron man now so X-Men is now less
I stole his shine and Obama called me a jackass
I loved her long time, so I bought her flight free
Gave me head in Chicago, I call her Chinese
So call it tryna win this bitch
And if you make a request I'm gonna spin that shit
[Chorus: Oktane]
I'm a do it how you want it [x7]
Make ya body say "yeah yeah"
(Make ya body say)
Make ya body say "yeah yeah"
(Make ya body goooooo)
Make ya body say "yeah yeah"
(Make ya body say)
Make ya body say "yeah yeah"
(Make ya body goooooo)
[Chorus: Legacy]
Lock me up throw away the key
I'll make sure I won't stop
If you make sure it's wet for me
You got me trapped for life
I'm probably gonna die in you
Prisoner inside I'm a prisoner inside you
[Verse 1: Legacy]
Imagine your face after our lips touch
One time it's cool for you to kiss your daddy
You say that your last couldn't make you bust
Well baby my love will make you trigger happy
Once you let it off it's gonna sound like
I'm a bring yo shit back and put it down like
I Know that I'm good I got that loud pipe
They hear it outside (baby don't that sound like... SEX!)
Baby come hear I swear I'll slow it down
All you kno is weak and stroke
Well I'm wat you don't know about
We close I know I know balls got you opened now
Into deep in that motherfucker hope he drownds
Started talkin shit like I couldn't hold it down
Baby came up broke I know damn sure dat ain't oprahs child
She love tha sex so much that she wrote her vows
This is my third strike I guess I'm goin down
[Chorus: Legacy]
Lock me up throw away the key
I'll make sure I won't stop
If you make sure it's wet for me
You got me trapped for life
I'm probably gonna die in you
Prisoner inside I'm a prisoner inside you
Lock me up throw away the key
I'll make sure I won't stop
If you make sure it's wet for me
You got me trapped for life
I'm probably gonna die in you
Prisoner inside I'm a prisoner inside you
[Verse 2: Legacy]
I asked her for a rubber (I asked her for a rubber)
She said that she ain't got one (she said that she ain't got one)
I said I'll only do one pump then
Fuck it I ain't stoppin
She said that she can't cum no more
Can I catch my breath please? "I said yeah"
She dozed off then woke up to a wet dream
She told me stop it nigga
I can't be around you bust when you touch it
And now I'm cummin when I think about you
She asked me how I do it? and I'm like "hell if I know"
My toungue just hunting gold your pussy El Dorado
And I'm enjoying it never ashamed
My head could stay under that blancket for days
You'll have to pull me away
Now her belly wasn't fakin'
She waz humble to my gift cause she said she couldn't take it
I don't kno why they act like prison is the worst place
As long as it's witchu I'll be missing every court date
[Chorus: Legacy]
Lock me up throw away the key
I'll make sure I won't stop
If you make sure it's wet for me
You got me trapped for life
I'm probably gonna die in you
Prisoner inside I'm a prisoner inside you
Lock me up throw away the key
I'll make sure I won't stop
If you make sure it's wet for me
You got me trapped for life
I'm probably gonna die in you
[Chorus: Tory Lanez]

Mr... she gave me a new name

She said she not a one night fuck
I woulda pick her up quick shit just my luck
She say "why you tyrne jump the gun nigga"
Do like james mom and go build a bond get it
See I don't really like to work for play
But when she smile I knew she was worth the wait
Her design was some new type of perfect shape
And her were so blue that's where the birds would play
Hey she got me feelin right like a?

i hope maybe one day
we can go back to the way
[Intro:]
Ha, my name is Legacy if you didn't know
And if y'all don't know who that was
Let me remind y'all
New Boyz
[Hook:]
She said she don't speak French but she'll tongue me down
Tu tongue me down, tu tongue me down [x4]
[Verse 1:]
She was a daddy's girl, never left the house with a skirt on
Chick was so shy she used to swim with a shirt on
Had boyfriends but never let em make a move
And she stuck to that rule until she let me in the room
She started wildin' out like a day old nympho
Her panties just drop like the Trey Songz intro
Waited for a minute then was good for bout a week
Then I looked it up at Denny's took her pussy out to eat
I ain't backin out from nothin girl, trust me I'm naughty
I ain't scared of that kitty, I play Jumanji
You go both ways, tell your friends make it stop
Girl I get crazy when that Nicki Minaj
I do it like a macbook, lemme tell you how
Take it out, turn her on, now use it and shut it down
People lie about they sex but my pipes are truest
Now she ain't goin nowhere, Iceland tourists
When we went to New York, we was at it every night
And she gave the best brain, an empire state of mind
I try to make her mine, I think she worthy
She always suck me up, so I nicknamed her Kirby
[Verse 2:]
I'm way too grown for these grownass kids
So we trynna get a lick, but they don't give head
I don't got no time for that shit, where the fuck Is Kat stacks?
And if she lyin, put me on, she better say I bashed it
And F a blog, MTO you can suck my naz
Use it how you wanna use it, fans never trust a fraud
Only 18 but I'll flip ya like a chevy
Grown man you leavin me for be runnin outta breath
And you talkin all that mess what you trippin fo
Be like boy you young, well bitch you old
I Guess my swag turned her on, or I think it shocked her
Now her head under the blanket like she seen a monster
After that I eat it make her masturbate from thinkin man
I got her with the business with no application needed
And to say the least at least I made her happy what you gon do?
Man I put it down like a cali nigga supposed to
[Hook:]
She said she don't speak French but she'll tongue me down
Travelling through time and space
Finding a way towards a new age
Travelling through time and space
Finding a way towards a new era
We are the discoverers of the undiscovered
The founders and creators of the new world
Tomorrow is the beginning of our destiny
We are on our way
Goodbye
We're leaving yesterday behind
We are the visionaries of today
And the historians of the future
We will carry on towards our destination
And together we will find a way
To make tomorrow a better day
We will replace everything that needs to be replaced
And salvage what remains
Fulfilling the vision
Completing the mission
A new world is our legacy
It's our legacy
... Carry on towards our destination
And together we will find a way
To make tomorrow a better day
WE WILL CARRY ON AND ON
We will carry on
Laugh at me as much as you can
Laugh at me and ignore that pain´s not well defined
We may remain uneducated or hope for a new system of ethics
This moral is part of the production
A corrupting influence that remains like an incurable virus
Take a look around, it´s industrialized opression
This culture allows us to admire the masters justify themselves
I would like to break up this tradition that keeps us away from compassion
But it seems that institutionalized exploitation shapes the approach we have to new beliefs
And once again, I feel guilty for exposing all the crimes commited against the animal kingdom
But you´ll never understand this
To demoralize rather than realize
It´s how i see things go now
That is a vicious circle, a killer agent intentionally introduced in today´s way of living
No one knows that the action of walking is in fact the action of falling
And i watch this scene everyday in your publicities, your TV shows, your teaching
The secrets that we keep
send our children fast asleep
keep your head lights nice and low
it's a subtle tempting show
through the windsweep we can see
a cinematic legacy
leaving cities paved with gold
to pilot frigates through our souls
Up the hill to sow some seed
nostalgia's warmth is all we need
past dissapointments turn to steam
we're superheros, in our dreams
throw the radio up high
watch it drown out half the sky
synaesthesia coloured blue
aquaman knows what to do
Days seem shorter than they are
finished counting all the stars
feel the gears wind down again
another paycheck to cash in
may the lord of flesh and bone
leave you some to call your own
as we slowly feel our way
[Hook]
Ey yo the bare like me, weed like me
Violence and trouble always seem to find me
I don't give a fuck you ain't got it like me
The legacy I leave behind me defines me
[XL]
Motherfuckers can't relate to that, can't escape the facts
Try to rush on by and I take them back
Dead and rose like base and crack, diesel and smack
Long sleeves covering tracks
I run through this wasteland covering both eyes
Than cover my ears and escape the lies
See none of y'all out there can write like this
And none of y'all out there gets nice like this
Can't keep up with me, you ain't corrupted like me
You ain't? like me
None of y'all sip blood from the cup like me
And none of y'all is stuck in the rut like me
[G Square]
People say I'm doing too much, controlling too much
And so what? The truth is I ain't giving a fuck
Spending my change, earning my name, staking my claim
No shame, cuz we don't never do it the same
I start selling thousands, switching my house in
Pay an accountance, get it, them bouncing
Think you all high, we getting higher
Drink ever clear and spit fire, pass out
And crush with blown out tires
You ain't making a sacrifice, giving up half your life
The first to talk and the last to fight
Acting like you gonna see me in the afterlife
On the other side of the glass reading your last rights
I barely get my leg in the door, what you here for?
What you think we do this all these years for?
Don't matter if you don't like me cause more than likely
We gonna make it happen nightly
[Hook x2]
"XL" [scratched out]
[XL]
Check me out, right?
I compose the music real heads wanna hear
On the subway through headphones screaming in your ear
About ten years?
Made a million and a half in stakes and never been wrong
Struggle, find a place where I belong
Turn my back for a second and it's all gone
Family in caskets, my state bordering madness
Many try but can't none of them match this
Along the road I lost control
If it wasn't for my pops I'd have lost my soul
This life I chose takes it's toll
This rap game'll? you up and swallow you whole
One wrong move is all it takes
One wrong bet for all the stakes
These are the brakes
Getting wise while I'm getting older
Sliding by getting payed, the world over
[XL and G Square]
We're on the outside looking in
And I can see through you cause you're paper thin
No more waiting now we're braking in
Making dough, loosing friends no matter how it ends
[G Square]
Definition of a true rap artist for real
Spent twelve years behind two wheels of steel
Get payed without them BMI cheques, record execs
Only tears, bloodshed and sweat
You can keep your advances, I'll take my chances
Till I'm sitting in a Hummer and a mansion
Understand I can't stand to see these motherfuckers ruin it
So trust me when I tell you I'm true to it
Still doing it, still persuing it
Started off new to this thing putting time and still proving it
Players wanna kill you and labels wanna sell you
I came here to help you, listen when I tell you
Bitches don't care if you disappear tomorrow
They jump on the next dick and pop another bottle
Small time drama keep fucking up my time
And I ain't about to let you stop me from shining
"I just can't loose" [scratched out]
[Hook x2]
"I just can't loose" "XL"
"I just can't loose" "G Square"
"I just can't loose" "XL"
"I just can't loose" "G Square"
"I just can't loose" "XL"

December '61.
my Dad's wages light.
Still on that salary
we, all four, could sleep tight.
Right now if you drank from
that very same well
you'd need a run of luck
to score a bed in a trick hotel
Is this the legacy of
too much for too few
that I see?
The kind of legacy that's
tossin' some good men
to their knees
The 'Great Society's'
maligned concrete cage
sits dead and vacant now -
at least it kept out rain
With all those corners cut
the cracks grow wide and near
I heard some cash was saved
but where it's gone ain't clear
Who goes down next I don't know
I don't know nothin' anymore
Tomorrow's legacy that's
layin' in state
awaits reprieve
I always heard that when a man goes down
you do your best to pick him up
But how can the milk of kindness trickle down
Step right up and touch me
I won't mind the slightest bit
I'll touch you back and pretty soon
You'll treat me like a god
Step right up and try this
Liquid meant to multiply
It's not an easy thing to drink
You'll get it right in time
I'm Tinkerbell, I'm calling out your name
I'm Tinkerbell, I'm calling out your name
It's loud enough, and the neighborhood
Can hear us when we're in the clouds
Tinkerbell, I sleep beside you
Step right and touch him
He's your legacy, the real deal
He controls your fears
and violates your dreams
Step right up and try this
Liquid meant to multiply
It's not an easy thing to SWALLOW
Step right up and touch me
I'm Tinkerbell, I'm calling out your name
I'm Tinkerbell, I'm calling out your name
It's loud enough, and the neighborhood
Can hear us when we're in the clouds
Boku no atama no gizen to daraku (Hypocrisy and degeneracy in my head)
Oki zari ni sareta kodomo no kioku (The memory of my childhood left behind)
(Go go go go)
Hito ni mogirete wasureta genjitsu (The reality about to be forgotten)
(Among deadly human hypocrisy and degendracy)
(In my head)
(Darkness)
As I close my eyes visions come to me
Like a whispered prayer, soft and low.
Beckoning to me to change reality
Enter deeper still into the soul
Still I cry!
What will I become? What will become of me?
Am I just a pawn played by destiny?
Inward turn the eyes and outward shine the soul
Mind and heart as one, become whole
This is my legacy
That which is born of me (still I cry)
This is my legacy Cry!
Somewhere in the world someone's crying out
Trapped inside the darkness a prisoner of doubt
Somewhere in the world someone screams in pain
Will you dare to answer how can you remain
Somewhere in the world someone's crying out
Trapped inside the darkness a prisoner of doubt
This is my legacy
That which is born of me (still I cry)
This is my legacy Cry!
May your light shine bright like the nova sun
And be remembered still for the things you've done
May they speak of you with integrity
As you leave behind your last legacy
Still I cry
This is my legacy
That which is born of me (still I cry)
This is my legacy Cry!
Somewhere in the world someone's crying out
Trapped inside the darkness a prisoner of doubt
Somewhere in the world someone screams in pain
Will you dare to answer how can you remain
Somewhere in the world someone's crying out
I was left in the wake of your schizoid bullshitEye on
the prize; tell me - was it worth it?
You got the green but it should have been me
You regarded as your legacy
It wasn't what you took away
It was the things you never gave
And all those hours that you slaved
I taught myself to pave my own forgotten gay
It wasn't promises you broke
It was the words you never spoke
And all those chances that you choked
I raised myself and now I raise my fuciing voice
Legacy you misbeliever, ill-conceiver
Cant you see the legacy you lack
Never see the missing moments
Stolen only by one who turned his back
Laissez-faire, you're not there,
Show me Love, bring me light
Give me strength for my fight
Show me where I should start
Lead me home through your heart
When the winter comes
When these are memories
When there is only me to journey on
When your race is run
Who will take care of me
Who will be proud of me when you are gone
Show me love, bring me light
Give me strength for my fight
Show me where I should start
Lead me home through your heart
When the winter breaks
These precious times we share
I will not feel despair
I will be strong
You cannot be replaced
You are my history
With all the love you teach
I'll journey on
You are my love, you are my light
You're my strength, you're my pride
When you leave you won't go
I once heard a man say, 'a lot of time we hear and nod our heads,
nothing changes, it all just stays the same'
But why is that so true today?
Spanning from when time began, our actions rarely change
More than ever the heart becomes a stone
Instead of a beating drum with a purpose
Something's missing, I can feel it
Something's missing, a feeling that's incomplete
You could hear the most profound thing ever spoken
And wake up the next day as if it never happened
I heard another man speak today continually using the phrase
'We need to leave a legacy for our families'
But what I want to know is where did our lives change from father and son to dad on the run?
A vicious cycle of deviation, the time is now for an act of restoration
You could hear the most profound thing ever spoken
And wake up the next day as if it never happened
No longer will I settle for the standard of society, I will leave a legacy
We're all waiting for a sign.
Show me a way which is divine.
We're following paths where the blind leads the blind.
If this world has fallen behind.
Do we blame it on mankind?
For all the sins we've left behind.
When will we rise again?
[Chorus]
On these sad wings we write this history
to leave behind our legacy.
The future holds the key
that opens many doors.
The choice is yours
Choose carefully.
There's a light that guides our way.
Close our eyes and we may say
we're only to blame if this world is in flames.
Persevere 'til we can achieve.
A harmonious reality.
With open eyes what will we see?
Our rise again.
[Chorus]
[Bridge]
If you follow the path that your visions have seen.
They'll be blinding your eye.
And then stealing your dreams.
Don't confuse love with hate.
You can follow the path.
In which your heart believes you'll be sure to receive
all your dreams have foreseen.
Now go and make that choice.
[Solo]
that I'm excited to share with you tonight,
and one thing I've realized is that we all want to leave behind a legacy;
we all want to be remembered for something.
And then I was thinking going, How can I be remembered?
and then I suddenly realized you can do it on a daily bases,
even if it's one on one with people.
For example, the other day, I saw a young boy,
and he was eating an ice cream cone,
I ran up and I smashed it into his face,
I leaned in, I go, You remember me forever! and I ran away.
Cause you know when he's 50, he's gonna be like,
One day a man ran up to me, I did not know this man,
he smashed my treat into my eyes. And he pointed and said,
"You fuckin remember me forever."
But I did not say fuckin, I did not say that.
He added fuckin to make the story more intense and interesting.
He deserves to have ice cream smashed in his face,
So long
Left us all we've ever known
Lives are made on what they've sown
Now we lie on solid stone
So let the wheel grow strong
Before the night is gone
Tomorrow never knows
You’ll make it on your own
Far long
Motion rolls into our lives
Right before our very eyes
Trust me there’s no better prize
We’re keeping up with the…
Beat...
Keep breaking the beat...
Beats all over the city
Enlightening everything
Runs with every single breath I take in
The legacy goes on
The legacy goes on
We’ll keep it going on
The Beat takes over the city
Surrounding everything
Runs with every single step I give in
The legacy goes on
The legacy goes on
So let the wheel grow strong
Before the night is gone
Tomorrow never knows
You’ll make it on your own
Way long
Runs across a hundred years
Never seems to disappear
Still we’ll call them pioneers
Roses in the sun
Falling one by one
Every fallen star
I was so numb
I almost didn't see you come
When the walls around were caning in
You saved my life tonight
When there's nothing left but pouring rain
You save my life tonight
And I found your heart inside your hands
You save my life tonight
You showed me how to feel again
You save my life tonight
I was on the run
Wasted and young
Every mistake stung till I was numb
I almost didn't see you come
When the walls around were caning in
You saved my life tonight
When there's nothing left but pouring rain
You save my life tonight
And I found your heart inside your hands
You save my life tonight
You showed me how to feel again
