FERGUSON, MO -- Governor Jay Nixon has issued an executive order declaring that Missouri is under a State of Emergency; thereby granting extraordinary police powers to law enforcement accompanied by a suspension of ordinary civilian freedoms.

Nixon\'s Executive Order 14-08 was issued August 16th, 2014, ostensibly to deter nighttime looters that have been causing chaos each evening for the past week.

The governor has restricted travel and public assembly, among other things, in the form of a evening curfew across the city of Ferguson. Citizens may be arrested if they appear out in public between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.

Manny then highlights the anniversary of the creation of NASA and how the continuing slashing of the NASA budget means that potentially revolutionary new discoveries are being squandered. Manny then speaks with RT Correspondent, Manila Chan, about the recent mass outbreak of Ebola in West Africa, including the contraction by two Americans of the disease, and what precautions are being taken to stop the continuing spread of the virus. BTS wraps up the show with a performance by Heartbeat, a group of Israeli and Palestinian youths working together to bridge the divide between the two groups through the power of music.

Nixon's Executive Order 14-08 was issued August 16th, 2014, ostensibly to deter nighttime looters that have been causing chaos each evening for the past week. The governor has restricted travel and public assembly, among other things, in the form of a evening curfew across the city of Ferguson. Citizens may be arrested if they appear out in public between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.
