9/24/2013: Lifetime asked that I document my shed build problems for them. I will be providing this link to them by live chat and/or e-mail tomorrow. I will post updates as the story develops. 9/25/2013: Letter that came in via e-mail but not received until after the phone call documented below. Joe, I called and left a message that I wanted to talk with you about your shed. I have looked into the situation and I have found a solution for you. I need to know what style panels you have on your shed. There are two connection styles where the panels from a joint or seam. One style has tabs that stick out and overlap, and the other style is flat. Once again, that is where the panels meet to create a seam or joint. The panels that we have been sending you have the tabs, and they are the corner pieces. Are the rest of your panels the style with the flat edges? Do you have any panels, excluding the corner panels, that have the tabs? Please let me know this information, or if it is unclear to what I am referring. Based on what you currently have we will know what we need to get to you in order to get your shed up and working. Thank you very much. (I have since spoken to this person. Of course, when they figured out this was the problem the last time, I got three "flat edge" panels and one with tabs so who knows that this actually means... I think that's why they decided to just send me the entire shed s you will see below.) 9/25/2013: Received a call from Lifetime. They apparently are going to send me an entire shed because the model I have is a model no longer supported. (Didn't I ask for that resolution earlier on? Oh well...) Apparently, once I have the new shed up, they want me to package up all the extra parts and they will come pick them up. Not sure how I'll do that, and I half expect them to tell me to keep them all once I ask for a giant box and/or a large pallet. Maybe I'll wind up with 2.9 sheds and I'll fabricate my own wall panel for a junk shed. Who knows... I'll believe the "we are sending you a whole shed to solve this problem" line when I'm done with shed #2's construction. 9/27/2013 - Received an e-mail from the Lifetime representative. They thanked me for the video and apologized profusely for the problems I've had. They mentioned again that the new shed is on order and thanked me for treating the representatives so kindly (I try...). Now it's a waiting game / race. When will the new shed show up? How will they get a freight truck to put the boxes anywhere near my existing shed since they are WAY too heavy for me to move. Will the parts all be the right ones? Tune in for the next update coming soon! 10/1/2013 - Received a call from ABF freight. They are delivering a 550 lb. package to me on Monday between 10 AM and 3 PM. I asked them if they could drop it near the work site on my property rather than just in the driveway... The answer was a clear no. So I'm not really sure how I'll move it over there, but at least it seems like the new shed is indeed on its way here. Again, I'll be confident that this is a solution as soon as I see the shed up and completed with the proper parts. ...But that's probably obvious without me saying it at this point, right? Kudos to Lifetime for *finally* doing the right thing to make the build happen.
