I blame all misses and any brainless comments on the temperature! :-) By the way, the holster was StealthgearUSA. This XDs version worked fine for the video; don't know if they will make one for the G42 or not, but they make a really nice IWB holster: http://www.stealthgearusa.com/ I emailed Buffalo Bore and explained what I experienced. I received what seems to be a very sensible and intelligent reply from Tim, the owner, at Buffalo Bore, so I'll post it here. See below: Hickok45, I have not yet tested the new Glock model 42, but over the years of making millions of rounds of +P 380 auto ammo, I have seen a couple other pistols slide lock engage while there is still ammo in the magazine. Generally this is caused by the amount of recoil generated by a given round i.e. the rapid backward thrust of the slide will cause the slide stop to engage. It can be remedied a number of ways, depending on exactly how/why it is occurring. Without seeing one of the new model 42 Glocks, I should not comment too much, but generally a stronger slide stop spring (if this pistol has one) or a deeper detent for the slide stop, will remedy the problem. Shooting and showing the Ohio Ordnance Works Browning BAR 1918A3. At about 20 pounds, this thing is a real brute to handle. Once you pull the trigger, it's a sweetie, though. Thanks to Tennessee Gun Country for lending us this BEAST. http://tnguncountry.com/ Also, thanks to Federal Premium for supplying the food for this machine: http://www.federalpremium.com/ BAR target on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item;=291168191093 Many of the parts in these Ohio Ordnance Works replicas are original BAR parts. The price tag is over $4,000.00. I forgot to mention, too, that the originals fired from an open bolt, whereas these reproductions fire from a closed bolt. You'll see more action with this baby as time rolls on. I leaned that you have to tighten those wing nuts really tight in order to keep the bipod where you want it, although I just took the legs off for most of our subsequent shooting. Watch out for a Woods Walk, wall shooting, and even an "unlikely" comparison video. As John demonstrates, you can really cut loose with this thing if you want to go into "full-auto" mode. It has a pretty good trigger, and there's virtually no recoil.

It was a one-take (first-take), unedited video, except for John's usual great slow motion "eye candy" at the end. SCCY CPX-2 - An Affordable Pistol?

The verdict is still not in for me, but this video outlines my experience with it thus far. I'll continue to experiment with it, but I don't know that I can put justify hundreds of dollars more worth of ammo. I'll hang on to it, though, and continue shooting it.
