As If is a British comedy-drama series broadcast on Channel 4. There were 76 episodes across four series, the first broadcast on January 22, 2001 and the last on July 31, 2004.
The series focused on six young adults (henceforth: the group) who lived in London. Each episode was presented from a different character's point of view, which up to that point in time had never done before in a comedy-drama television show. The show had a cult following and received critical acclaim. It was considered groundbreaking and was often referred to as a "cooler", more sophisticated version of another British serial drama Hollyoaks.[citation needed]
Part of the show's identity was the style, such as surreal fly-on-the-wall style camera work, fast camera transitions, wacky sound effects added to some scenes and the distinctive theme music (the tune "Would you...?" by the band Touch and Go). Episode four of the first series was awarded an RTS Television Award for Best Tape or Film Editing - Drama.
Several notable episodes were centred around parodies of other films or TV shows, including The Blair Witch Project (episode 1x16); Moulin Rouge (2x20); The Italian Job (3x12) and 24 (4x04).

At age eleven he was cast as the title character in the first Harry Potter film, and he starred in the series for ten years until the release of the eighth and final film in July 2011. He also began to branch out to stage acting in 2007, starring in the London and New York productions of the play Equus and in the 2011 Broadway revival of the musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. In addition, he starred in 2007's December Boys and the 2012 hit horror film The Woman in Black. He will play beat poet Allen Ginsberg in 2013 indie film Kill Your Darlings.

It was more than a matter of knowin'
Or the words that were finally said
It was more than the comin' or goin'
Or the things that were made in your head
It was more than a matter of wantin'
And needin' the foolish things I gave
As if I ever cared to make you cry
Could've been right to know that it wasn't
Yet you knew I was sorry
I dared to make you cry
As if I would
As if I could
As if I tried
But the words that were finally spoken
Like the thoughts that remain in my soul
And hearts that were finally broken
And embrace that never be hold
And the words that I never told you
But I told you, the foolish things I said
As if I ever cared to make you cry
I could've been right to know that I wasn't
Yet you knew that I was sorry
I dared to make you cry
As if I would
As if I could
As if I tried
As if I ever cared to make you cry
I could've been right to know that I wasn't
Yet you knew that I was sorry
I dared to make you cry
Could have been strong but the words didn't rhyme
Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh
Yo, yo (ooh yeah)
Let me explain this to you
See I'm not gonna let you run me
How we're gonna do it is...
I'm gonna run you
You, you've got a lot of nerve
I guess you haven't heard
I'm doin' fine out here on my own
You, you think that you can come
Around here for some fun
But boy you've got a lot to learn
Don't shake your head from side to side
Saying that you've changed enough
That you see the light
Cuz you just say what you say
And want your way
And it's that game that you play
It's a little late
As if
I'm ever gonna take you back
As if
It's ever gonna come to that
So see you 'round, wave goodbye
Be a bird pass me by
As if
I'm gonna let you break my heart again
As if I'm gonna let your love back in my life
Not tonight, get a grip
Baby as if
Come on (oh, oh) come on
(Oh, oh, oh, oh)
Uh-huh, uh-huh, yeah
(Oh, oh)
You seem to think that I (I)
Ain't got no sense of pride (Pride)
Well boy you got a weird perception now (Yo)
Of what it is to love (Love)
And I am sure because (Because)
You got the look of desperation
Don't shake your head from left to right
Saying that you will when you won't ever see the light
And you just say what you say and want your way
And it's that game that you play
It's a little late
As if
I'm ever gonna take you back
As if
It's ever gonna come to that
So see you 'round, wave goodbye
Be a bird pass me by
As if
I'm gonna let you break my heart again
As if I'm gonna let your love back in my life
Not tonight, catch my drift
Baby as if
{Oh, oh, oh, oh...}
You gotta go, you gotta go bye-bye
{Oh, oh, oh, oh...}
As if
(Never gonna take you back, whoo!)
I, I got places to go (Go)
With people you don't know (You don't know 'em)
We're gonna dance all nice and slow (Ha, ha, ha)
Don't shake your head from left to right
Saying that you've changed and now you're on my side
Cause you know you just want some lucky charm
And it's that game that you play
So I'm moving on
As if
I'm ever gonna take you back
As if
It's ever gonna come to that
So be a dear, disappear
Maybe I'm not being clear As if
I'm gonna let you break my heart again
As if I'm gonna let your love back in my life
Not tonight, get a grip
Baby as if
(Oh, oh, oh, oh...)
No, no, no
As If
I'm gonna let you break my heart again
As if
I'm ever gonna take you back
As if
It's ever gonna come to that
So see you 'round, wave goodbye
Be a bird pass me by
As if
I'm gonna let you break my heart again
As if I'm gonna let your love back in my life
Not tonight, get a grip
Baby as if
I'm gonna let you break my heart again
As if I'm gonna let you try and be my friend
It's the end, take the hint
Baby as if
(He, he, he)

I love the way you wear those worn out blue jeans
Walkin' all around in the big sunshine
Baby, let me believe that you're perfect
At least for a little while
And you don't have to tell me what you're thinkin'
You can keep all that to yourself
Baby, we got such a good thing goin'
Don't show me that you're someone else
'Cause I'm actin' as if this blue sky's
Never gonna rain down on me
I'm tellin' myself this true love's
Never gonna leave me lonely
Unless there's somethin' I've missed
I'm actin' as if
(As if, as if, as if)
(As if, as if, as if)
We don't have to have that conversation
Baby, don't you think it's goin' fine?
We don't need to send out invitations
To tell the world that you're mine
'Cause I'm actin' as if this blue sky's
Never gonna rain down on me
I'm tellin' myself this true love's
Never gonna leave me lonely
Unless there's somethin' I've missed
I'm actin' as if
As if your sweet kiss is never gonna fade away
And the way you look at me will never change
'Cause I love the way you wear those worn out blue jeans
Walkin' all around in the big sunshine
'Cause I'm actin' as if this blue sky's

It's the end, take the hint
I was driving down 35
Headed downtown towards the city lights
Suddenly humbled by the height of the buildings
Juxtaposed against these Texas skies
I got to thinking about how
I'm constantly seeking that feeling of being small
Just like I do when I'm in your arms
And you hold me like a child
It's that dangerous kiss
You've got me shaken, baby
It's this dangerous life
And I'm lost in it, just like I should be
As if I should be
Now I'm back on 95
Headed home from Boston to see my mom
She said, son, you'd better plant your seeds
Don't keep waiting on the light to come out
Well mom I know I've got a lot of things on my mind
I'm trying to get done before I get to old
But if expectations keep on waiting
You'll have to let your child grow on his own
I got to thinking about how
I'm constantly seeking that feeling of being small
Just like I do when I'm in your arms
And you hold me like a child
It's that dangerous kiss
You've got me shaken, baby
It's this dangerous life
And I'm lost in it, just like I should be
As if I should be
Don't keep waiting on the light to come out
