Ebisu, an open access journal of Japan studies

The journal Ebisu was founded in 1993 at the Maison Franco-Japonaise in Tokyo. It publishes texts in French – articles, translations and book reviews – in the field of Japan studies. Articles are focused on issues of culture, philosophy, anthropology, sociology, economy, and human and social geography, and often have a historical emphasis. Since becoming an exclusively digital journal in 2014, Ebisu has joined Revues.org and is making several issues available in open access.
