"This 2003 Esper Productions follow up to the impressive Esper Edition discs is a subtle release‚ but a very good one. In short‚ it'san answered prayer for any serious Blade Runner fan. It basicallyintends to transport the listener to the world portrayed in the film. Well‚ it does so admirably. Listening to the first few tracks youcould close your eyes and almost be taking nocturnal stroll down arainy street with spinners whisking overhead and advertisementsemitting from lumbering blimps. The myriad of sound effects such asthe police station sounds‚ Tyrells office with the VK machine buzzingamid ethereal chimes are very well chosen and mixed together. Mypersonal favourite is the signature low‚ swaying hum in "Apartment9732." It goes on for quite some time‚ so putting in on in your ownhome will give you the same atmosphere as in Deckard's apartment! Los Angeles - November 2019 0'30 Third Sector - China Town 4'43 Fourth Sector - downTown 3'58 Nineteenth Sector - Police Headquarters 2'43 Twenty-Fifth Sector - Tyrell Corporation 6'27 Seventh Sector - Apartment 9732 12'12 Ninth Sector - Urban Blues 12'02 Fifth Sector - Animoid Row 7'15 Second Sector - DNA Row 4'59 Seventh Sector - Apartment 9732 (reprise) 7'06 Eighth Sector - Nocturnal Rain 3'45 Tenth Sector - The Bradbury Building 13'03 Original music on tracks 3‚ 6‚ 7‚ 10‚ 11 and 12 composed and performed by VANGELIS. Additional music on tracks 2 and 8 written and performed by Frank Klepacki. "Harps of the Ancient Temples" on track 9 written and performed by Gail Laughton. Copyright 2003 Esper Productions Ltd. All rights reserved. Made in the E.U. This is a special limited edition release and is not licensed for public sale. Music: There is Vangelis music in this release but it plays a secondaryrole. It blends in seamlessly with the rain‚ spinners‚ and other soundeffects. Track four "Downtown"‚ for example‚ has an interestingunidentified Vangelis theme in the background‚ which gives it a greathypnotic feel. The tracks titled Apartment 9732 and Urban Blues mix"Memories of Green" and "Blade Runner Blues" which eventually blends inwith "Reve." (a very nice choice‚ since it compliments the atmospherevery well) Only a few Blade Runner musical tracks are present‚ butthey are all very well chosen and contribute to the disc's rainy‚nocturnal thesis. The ambiental sound effects are obviously taken from the Blade Runnergame and the film itself (with some other effects added on- Ibelieve). This is done very delicately making the whole release flowseamlessly. Instead of straight listening‚ I believe the disc worksbest when put on as a background effect. It's very ethereal andsoothing almost like a Blade Runner "chillout" disc. It's worthnoting‚ however‚ those expecting a to find conventional (musical) BladeRunner bootleg‚ might be disappointed with this "Los Angeles‚ November2019". But in a market which is already saturated with BR bootlegs‚this is a refreshing and original release. In sum‚ this disc is alabour of love by Blade Runner fans for Blade Runner fans.

The First Year Ozzie Nelson, Harriet Hilliard Blind Alley Edward G. Robinson, Isabel Jewell, Broderick Crawford Arsenic and Old Lace Boris Karloff, Eddie Albert William Henry Pratt (23 November 1887 -- 2 February 1969), better known by his stage name Boris Karloff, was an English actor.[1] Karloff is best remembered for his roles in horror films and his portrayal of Frankenstein's monster in Frankenstein (1931), Bride of Frankenstein (1935), and Son of Frankenstein (1939). His popularity following Frankenstein was such that for a brief time he was billed simply as "Karloff" or "Karloff the Uncanny." His best-known non-horror role is as the Grinch, as well as the narrator, in the animated television special of Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (1966). His role as the Frankenstein monster in Frankenstein (1931) made Karloff a star. The bulky costume with four inch platform boots made it an arduous role but the costume and torturously administered makeup produced the classic image. The costume was a job in itself for Karloff with the shoes weighing 13 pounds (6 kg) each, and Karloff having to sleep in between two books to avoid ruining his monster makeup. Universal Studios was quick to acquire ownership of the copyright to the makeup format for the Frankenstein monster that Jack P. Pierce had designed. Boris was lucky to get the part, as it had supposedly been offered to Bela Lugosi, who declined it. A year later, Karloff played another iconic character, Imhotep in The Mummy. The Old Dark House (with Charles Laughton) and the starring role in The Mask of Fu Manchu quickly followed. These films all confirmed Karloff's new-found stardom. The 5'11" (1.80 m) brown-eyed Karloff played a wide variety of roles in other genres besides horror. He was memorably gunned down in a bowling alley in the 1932 film Scarface. He played a religious World War I soldier in the 1934 John Ford epic The Lost Patrol. However, horror remained Karloff's primary genre, and he gave a string of lauded performances in 1930s Universal horror films, including several with Lugosi, his main rival as heir to Lon Chaney, Sr.'s status as the top horror film star. Karloff reprised the role of Frankenstein's monster in two other films, The Bride Of Frankenstein in 1935 and The Son Of Frankenstein in 1939, with the latter also featuring Lugosi. Karloff would revisit the Frankenstein mythos in several later films as well, starring with the role of the villainous Dr. Niemann in House of Frankenstein (1944), in which the monster was played by Glenn Strange. Karloff returned to the role of the "mad scientist" in 1958's Frankenstein 1970, as Baron Victor von Frankenstein II, the grandson of the original inventor. The finale reveals that the crippled Baron has given his own face (i.e. Karloff's) to the monster. The actor appeared at a celebrity baseball game as the monster in 1940, hitting a gag home run and making catcher Buster Keaton fall into an acrobatic dead faint as the monster stomped into home plate. Norman Z. McLeod filmed a sequence in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty with Karloff in the monster make-up, but it was deleted. Karloff donned the headpiece and neck bolts for the final time in 1962 for a Halloween episode of the TV series Route 66, but the episode featured Karloff playing himself, who, within the story, was playing "the monster". While the long, creative partnership between Karloff and Lugosi never led to a close friendship, it produced some of the actors' most revered and enduring productions, beginning with The Black Cat. Follow-ups included Gift of Gab (1934), The Raven (1935), The Invisible Ray (1936), Black Friday (1940), You'll Find Out (also 1940), and The Body Snatcher (1945). During this period, he also starred with Basil Rathbone in Tower of London (1939) as the murderous henchman of Richard III. From 1945 to 1946, Karloff appeared in three films for RKO produced by Val Lewton: Isle Of The Dead, The Body Snatcher, and Bedlam. In a 1946 interview with Louis Berg of the Los Angeles Times, Karloff discussed his three-picture deal with RKO, his reasons for leaving Universal Pictures and working with producer Lewton. Karloff left Universal because he thought the Frankenstein franchise had run its course. The latest installment was what he called a "'monster clambake,' with everything thrown in — Frankenstein, Dracula, a hunchback and a 'man-beast' that howled in the night. It was too much. Karloff thought it was ridiculous and said so." Berg continues, "Mr. Karloff has great love and respect for Mr. Lewton as the man who rescued him from the living dead and restored, so to speak, his soul." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boris_Karloff

Nominated for three Academy Awards, Topper Returns (1941) is the third and final movie within the Topper comedy series. Roland Young and Billie Burke reprise their roles as Mr. and Mrs. Topper, while Joan Blondell is absolutely wonderful as a murder victim and amicable ghost determined to save her friend, played by Carole Landis. The Examiner 2014-06-03Eddie Laughton (June 20, 1903 – March 21, 1952) was a British-born American film actor. Born in Sheffield, West Riding of Yorkshire, England, Laughton appeared in over 200 films between 1935 and 1952.
Laughton left his native England to pursue a Hollywood film career. He started in vaudeville, and, according to a biography of Larry Fine of the Three Stooges, managed a vaudeville theatre where Fine once played.
The pencil-mustached Laughton was placed under contract by Columbia Pictures in 1935. He appeared in many Columbia features, short subjects, and serials throughout the 1930s and 1940s.
Modern viewers will remember Laughton for his role as "Percy Pomeroy, convict 41144" in the Stooge comedies So Long Mr. Chumps and Beer Barrel Polecats, or as the happy drunk in Loco Boy Makes Good. Laughton was an excellent utility player, useful in good-guy and bad-guy roles alike. (He and Columbia actor John Tyrrell shared many scenes.) Laughton was also a convincing dialect comedian, playing a French nobleman in Buster Keaton's She's Oil Mine, and an English big-game hunter plastered with pies in the Stooges' In the Sweet Pie and Pie.
Joseph Frank "Buster" Keaton (October 4, 1895 – February 1, 1966) was an American comic actor, filmmaker, producer and writer. He was best known for his silent films, in which his trademark was physical comedy with a consistently stoic, deadpan expression, earning him the nickname "The Great Stone Face".
Buster Keaton (his lifelong stage name) was recognized as the seventh-greatest director of all time by Entertainment Weekly. In 1999, the American Film Institute ranked Keaton the 21st-greatest male star of all time. Critic Roger Ebert wrote of Keaton's "extraordinary period from 1920 to 1929, [when] he worked without interruption on a series of films that make him, arguably, the greatest actor-director in the history of the movies."
Orson Welles stated that Keaton's The General is "the greatest comedy ever made, the greatest Civil War film ever made, and perhaps the greatest film ever made."
A 2002 worldwide poll by Sight & Sound ranked Keaton's The General as the 15th best film of all time. Three other Keaton films received votes in the magazine's survey: Our Hospitality, Sherlock, Jr., and The Navigator.
Charles Laughton (1 July 1899 – 15 December 1962) was an English-born American stage and film actor, screenwriter, producer and director.
Laughton was born in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, the son of Robert Laughton and his wife Elizabeth (née Conlon), Yorkshire hotel keepers. His mother was a devout Roman Catholic of Irish descent. He attended Stonyhurst College, a Jesuit school, in Lancashire. He served during World War I (in which he was gassed) first with the 2/1st Battalion of the Huntingdonshire Cyclist Regiment and later with the 7th Battalion of the Northamptonshire Regiment.
I walked forty-seven miles of barbed wire, I got a
cobra snake for a necktie
A brand new house on the road side, and it's a-made out
of rattlesnake hide
Got a band new chimney put on top, and it's a-made out
of human skull
Come on take a little walk with me baby, and tell me
who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Around the town I use a rattlesnake whip, take it easy
baby don't you give me no lip
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
I've got a tombstone hand and a graveyard mind, I'm
just twenty-two and I don't mind dying
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Now Arlene took a-me by my hand, she said "Lonesome
George you don't understand,
who do you love?"
The night were dark and the sky were blue, down the
alleyway a house wagon flew
Hit a bump and somebody screamed, you should've heard
what I'd seen
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Yeah, I've got a tombstone hand in a graveyard mine,
just twenty-two baby I don't mind dying
Snake skin shoes baby put them on your feet, got the
goodtime music and the Bo Diddley beat
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
I walked forty-seven miles of barbed wire, I got a
cobra snake for a necktie
A brand new house on the road side, and it's made out
of rattlesnake hide
Got a band new chimney put on top, and it's made out of
human skull
Come on take a little walk with me child, tell me who
do you love?
Who do you love?
