Teletype - First Run on Pedestal

After a couple of weeks of restoration, my Teletype model 33 ASR is mounted onto its pedestal and fully working. Next, I have to give the plastic shell a good cleaning and a minor repair, give the typewheel a minor adjustment, and it'll be ready to send and receive again, just like in its glory days.

Using a Hayes Smartmodem 300 and 1200, a GE bluetooth cell bridge, a model 33 Teletype with RS-232 curent loop converter, LA120 terminal and a landline I was able to send and receive between two terminals with moderate accuracy.

I purchased this working teletype for a song and a dance. It took me about a year to get it hooked up. It rips along at 60 words per minute. One day I'll clean it up a bit, but it doesn't need anything other than a light cleaning and some good ol' oil. Just a note- this is the first teletype that I have managed to hook up and get going. I have a Kleinschmidt tt-98 that i've been working on for a few years now, and a US Coast Guard TTY that I think is the cat's meowz. Thanks for watching.
