Suthep (Thai: สุเทพ) is a tambon (subdistrict) of Mueang Chiang Mai District, in Chiang Mai Province, Thailand. In 2005 it had a total population of 36,952 people. The tambon contains 15 villages.

Wat Phra That Doi Suthep - Chiang Mai, Thailand I TravelFilms (2018)
We visited Wat Phra That Doi Suthep temple in northern Thailand near Chiang Mai. We were there a day before the Thai New Year and there was a huge celebration. Everyone was dressed in traditional clothes and we saw a lama swallowing money :D The Buddhist monks allowed us to fly the drone, which was also very important to show how great Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is on the top of the mountain. We visited Wat Phra That Doi Suthep temple in northern Thailand near Chiang Mai.
We were there a day before the Thai New Year and there was a huge celebration. Everyone was dressed in traditional clothes and we saw a lama swallowing money :D
The Buddhist monks allowed us to fly the drone, which was also very important to show how great Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is on the top of the mountain.
I hope we succeeded to give you a feel of this amazing place.

Today's video is an introduction of what's in store for you over the upcoming weeks. this was my first ride in Thailand for this trip and I get reunited with old friends as well as making some new ones.
Now Thailand isn't just about riding and by this stage of our adventure this trip had started becoming a VERY spiritual journey for me. Lots of emotions started appearing.

That's what you get at Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, a beautiful temple in the Doi Suthep mountain west of Chang Mai, popularly known as Doi Suthep as well. In this video, you'll learn everything you need to know to plan a trip there. We close the day in Nimmanhaemin, or simply Nimman. It's the digital nomad's neighborhood, where many expats in Thailand choose to live. From the Maya mall to a walk on the streets, discover why this area attracts so many foreigners.
Chiang Mai was founded in 1296 and it's the capital of Chiang Mai Province in northern Thailand. The name means "New City" in Thai. That's because back then it became the new capital of the Lanna kingdom. The city was also very important historically. It's strategically located on the Ping River (a major tributary of the Chao Phraya River), and close to major trading routes.
