A lot of videographers have been looking forward to the release of the Panasonic GH2(http://bit.ly/PanGH2) , especially as the hacked GH1 proved to be such a hit. Although, with it being tougher to crack, how does the standard GH2 compare to a camera like the 60D(http://bit.ly/Cano60D)?

Creatieve DMC-GH2 met Full HD Video opname en een bijzonder hoge autofocus snelheid
De DMC-GH2 beschikt over een hoge snelheid Live MOS sensor. Deze zeer krachtige sensor maakt het mogelijk te fotograferen op de maximale beeldkwaliteit (16.05-megapixel) met een snelheid van maar liefst 5 fps. Bij een beeldkwaliteit van 4-megapixel fotografeer je zelfs met een snelheid van maar liefst 40 frames per seconde. De DMC-GH2 bevat een vliegensvlug en zeer accuraat autofocus systeem. De DMC-GH2 bezit een totale sensorgrootte van 18.31 megapixels. Hiervan wordt ongeveer 16.05 megapixel gebruikt bij het maken van de foto in de 3 verschillende aspectratio's - 16:0, 3:2 en 4:3 - met eenzelfde groothoek. Going for a more traditional "cinematic" look. You'll notice the images are a bit softer and more filmic looking. Also testing out my new Nikkor AIS 50mm f 1.2. A lot of the shots were shot at f 1.2-f2 to counter the GH2's natural deep DOF look. The results are pretty spectacular for an $800 camera.

First in a series of videos showing the proper usage of the GH2 and the process of loading modified (hacked) firmware onto the camera and testing those settings.
The second video shows the process of loading the firmware onto the camera.
Now that 1.1 firmware update is out, and we have some solid settings. We can get to the very best image the camera can offer. While I don't have a magic ball, I don't think we'll have better still camera video performance until we get a hacked GH3. I don't even think the unhacked GH3 will close the gap between the 154mb GOP1 intraframe 24fps codec that this camera offers. Sure other cameras will have better lowlight - but when it comes to a well exposed image under 800ISO the hacked GH2 is king.

Guitar Hero II
Guitar Hero II is a music rhythm game developed by Harmonix, published by Activision and distributed by RedOctane. It is the second installment in the Guitar Hero series and is the sequel to Guitar Hero. It was first released for the PlayStation 2 in November 2006 and then for the Xbox 360 in April 2007, with additional content not originally in the PlayStation 2 version.
Like in the original Guitar Hero, the player uses a peripheral in the shape of a solid-body electric guitar to simulate playing rock music as notes scroll towards the player. Most of the gameplay from the original game remains intact., provides new modes and note combinations. The game features more than 40 popular licensed songs, many of them cover versions recorded for the game, spanning five decades (from the 1960s to the 2000s). The PlayStation 2 version of Guitar Hero II can be purchased individually or in a bundle that packages the game with a cherry red Gibson SG guitar controller. The Xbox 360 version of the game is offered in a bundle that packages the game with a white Gibson Explorer guitar controller. Both of these controllers are wired, but RedOctane also sells a wireless controller for the PlayStation 2.

Panasonic Lumix GH2 (Driftwood 176Mbps) - "Land of Port"
Going for a more traditional "cinematic" look. You'll notice the images are a bit softer and more filmic looking. Also testing out my new Nikkor AIS 50mm f 1.2. A lot of the shots were shot at f 1.2-f2 to counter the GH2's natural deep DOF look. The results are pretty spectacular for an $800 camera. 1. Hacked Panasonic GH2 Tutorial Series - Getting Started
Brought to you by http://www.cavootle.com What is Cavootle? http://youtu.be/D41vHGWAqts First in a series of videos showing the proper usage of the GH2 and the process of loading modified (hacked) firmware onto the camera and testing those settings. The second video shows the process of loading the firmware onto the camera. Now that 1.1 firmware update is out, and we have some solid settings. We can get to the very best image the camera can offer. While I don't have a magic ball, I don't think we'll have better still camera video performance until we get a hacked GH3. I don't even think the unhacked GH3 will close the gap between the 154mb GOP1 intraframe 24fps codec that this camera offers. Sure other cameras will have better lowlight - but when it comes to a well exposed image...

First in a series of videos showing the proper usage of the GH2 and the process of loading modified (hacked) firmware onto the camera and testing those settings.
The second video shows the process of loading the firmware onto the camera.
Now that 1.1 firmware update is out, and we have some solid settings. We can get to the very best image the camera can offer. While I don't have a magic ball, I don't think we'll have better still camera video performance until we get a hacked GH3. I don't even think the unhacked GH3 will close the gap between the 154mb GOP1 intraframe 24fps codec that this camera offers. Sure other cameras will have better lowlight - but when it comes to a well exposed image under 800ISO the hacked GH2 is king.
