"Родопски Столетия" е документално-рекламен филм, разказващ историята на родопските столетници, техния начин на живот и занаятите, които те и до ден днешен практикуват. Въпреки напредналата си възраст и тежките времена през които са минали, старите хора са съумели да запазят своя борбен нрав и весел дух на чело с тяхната трудоспособност. Главните герой ще ни запознаят с техните занаяти и ще ни разкажат пленяващи истории от тяхното минало и настояще. Филмът засяга теми не само за различията на тогавашния живот на хората сравнен с днешната урбанизация и забързаност на новите поколения, но също така и актуални теми за здравословно хранене и причините за дълголетието в Родопите. Комбинацията от кадри на емоционалните и автентични срещи с дълголетниците,преплетени с красотата на родопските планински пейзажи, пресъздават една незабравима атмосфера и създават условия за една културно-социална връзка и близост между зрител и герой. The Rhodopes -- A Secret for Long Life In a lovely place called Rhodopes (Bulgaria) live a lot of centenarians in a completely different world, unknown for the today's urbanization. They all have their lifetime stories fulfilled with sadness and happiness. Grown through wars and poverty, good and bad times leading us hand in hand through their experiences we will become a part of their life. The Movie: Do you know a movie which has several 100-year-old protagonists as main characters? Can you even imagine it -- how it will be, how it will work for the audience? This is exactly the movie which will face this extraordinary challenge. „The Rhodopes -- A Secret for Long Life" is a promotional tourism film illustrating a variety of authentic scenes focused on the life of the longevity people in the Rhodopes. The movie introduces us to their interesting handcraftactivities and their lifetime stories. In addition, it also attempts to create a strong cultural and social connection between the audience and the protagonists. Short info about the movie producer -- Mihail Vasilev Mihail Vasilev was born in Smolyan, Bulgaria. In 2004 he graduated with honors the "Vasil Levski" Natural Sciences and Mathematics High School in Smolyan and decided to continue with his university education abroad. Prompted by his interest in media, he went to Germany and started with his Bachelor in "Media Production" at the University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt. In 2013 he successfully received his Master's Degree at the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz, devoting his graduate film project to his birthplace -- The Rhodopes and the phenomenon of centenarians in this mountain.
