NOTE: The first few minutes of this video feature the Croatian countryside. Please skip to 3:10 for the landing. Likes, dislikes, comments, and messages appreciated! It was my first time on Croatian Airlines and I was quite impressed with the service. This flight into Zagreb's Pleso Airport originated in Munich. Most of the passengers appeared to be Croatians visiting home, with a few German business travelers. The Captain appeared to be Italian (his name was Mario). During the inflight service, passengers were offered a beverage and a traditional Croatian breakfast bread. I'm not sure what it's called, but it was hollow on the inside. Very delicious though! As we got closer to Zagreb and reduced altitude, the beautiful Croatian countryside appeared. The mountains were so lush and green, with the landscape dotted by houses and farms. Landing at Pleso Airport was a breeze. After landing and a short taxi, we were in our parking position in no time. A bus transported us to the international arrivals section of the airport, where the immigration officers worked very quickly to move everyone through. By the time I passed through immigration, by bag was already spinning around the carousel. I was very impressed with the efficiency of Pleso Airport. I could have easily mistaken the place for an airport in Germany! It's clear that Pleso Airport and Zagreb (Airport Code ZAG) have been undergoing rapid development in recent years. I hope to return to Zagreb again in the near future <b>...</b>

Pleso (pronounced [plɛ̂sɔ]) is a settlement located to the southeast of the city of Zagreb. Nowadays, Pleso is the northernmost section of the city of Velika Gorica.
Pleso gave its name to Zagreb's Pleso Airport, one of Croatia's well known airports because the highest air traffic rate in the country.

Lomnický štít (Lomnický peak) is one of the highest and most visited mountain peaks in the High Tatras mountains of Slovakia. Connected by cable car [1] to Tatranská Lomnica, its summit is 2634 metres above sea level, making it the second highest peak in the High Tatras after Gerlachovský štít.
The first ascent was made by local shoemaker and amateur miner Štefan Fábry around 1760-1790, but the first recorded ascent was made by the English traveler Robert Townson and guide on 16 August 1793. He measured almost precisely the elevation of the peak at 2633 m. The first winter ascent was made in 1891.
In the past, Lomnický štít was called Dedo ("Grandpa"). Before the 19th century, the peak was also thought to be the highest of all.
Since 1940, tourists have reached the peak by cable car, which was the most modern in Europe at the time of opening. They are allowed to stay on the peak for 50 minutes. The cable car system is normally closed in the month of May for annual maintenance. It is also possible to climb the peak from Lomnický Saddle, but this is only permitted with a mountain guide.
There is a solar observatory and weather station permanently manned year round at the terminus of the cable car.
