The Faroe Islands is an archipelago and autonomous country within the Kingdom of Denmark,[6][7] situated between the Norwegian Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean, approximately halfway between Norway and Iceland, at about 320 kilometres (200 mi) north-north-west of mainland Scotland. The total area is approximately 1,400 km2 (540 sq mi) with a 2010 population of almost 50,000 people.
The name Faroe is derived from two Faroese words which mean "sheep" and "islands".
The Faroe Islands have been a self-governing country within the Danish Realm since 1948. Over the years, the Faroese have taken control of most domestic matters. Areas that remain the responsibility of Denmark include military defence, police, justice, currency and foreign affairs.[8] The Faroe Islands also have representatives in the Nordic Council as members of the Danish delegation.
The islands were associated with and taxed by Norway, then the Union of Kalmar, and then Denmark-Norway until 1814, when Norway was united with Sweden. Scandinavia was in political turmoil following the Sixth Coalition of the Napoleonic Wars, when the Treaty of Kiel granted Denmark control over the Faroes, Iceland and Greenland in 1814. The Danish trade monopoly ended in 1856.
Archaeological evidence shows settlers living on the Faroe Islands in two successive periods prior to the arrival of the Norse, the first between 400 and 600 AD and the second between 600 and 800 AD.[9] Scientists from Aberdeen University have also found early cereal pollen from domesticated plants, which further suggests people may have lived on the islands before the Vikings arrived.[10] Archaeologist Mike Church noted that Dicuil (see below) mentioned what may have been the Faroes. He also suggested that the people living there might have been from Ireland, Scotland or Scandinavia, with possibly groups from all three areas settling there.[11]
A Latin account of a voyage made by Saint Brendan, an Irish monastic saint who lived around 484--578, includes a description of "insulae" (islands) resembling the Faroe Islands. This association, however, is far from conclusive in its description.[12]
Dicuil, an Irish monk of the early 9th century, wrote a more definite account. In his geographical work De menura orbis terrae he claimed he had reliable information of heremitae ex nostra Scotia ("hermits from our land of Ireland") who had lived on the northerly islands of Britain for almost a hundred years until the arrival of Norse pirates.

Merawat ikan cupang hias siap kontes tidaklah sulit , yang diperlukan hanyalah ketekunan dan ketelitian pemeliharaan ikan cupang setiap harinya, misalnya permberian pakan yang teratur , penggantian air akuarium yang teratur, dan tidak lupa pula melatih mental ikan cupang. Tak jarang peternak menghabiskan waktu dari pagi hingga malam untuk mengontrol kondisi ikan cupang.
A. Pakan
Cupang hias diberi pakan alami seperti kutu air. Permberian pakan 2x dalam sehari ,pada waktu pukul 07.00 dan 17.00, berikan pakan yang secukupnya. Terlalu banyak pakan tidak bagus khususnya terhadap kebersihan air di akuarium (dikhawatirkan akan mengendap dan membusuk di dasar air)
Pemekaian takaran, seperti sendok teh bisa mengontrol jumlah pemberian pakan. Botol aor mineral yang diberi selang juga bisa dimanfaatkan untuk pemberian makanan cupang. Alat itu selain murah juga mudah dioperasikan. Kutu air dimasukan ke botol lalu disemprotkan satu per satu ke dalam akuarium. Kutu air yang telah dibekukan di dalam freezer pemberiannya cukup dengan dicuil-cuil.
Jentik nyamuk dapat diberikan sebagai selingan setiap 2 hari sekali , bisa juga diberikan untuk makanan pokok. Toh ,ikan cupang yang berumur 1.5 bulan sudah bisa makan makanan yang berukuran besar. Cuk sebaiknya diambil yang teidak bengkok atau tua.
Ada cara untuk menyeleksi cuk. Jentik nyamuk yang diambil dari selokan atau empeng biasanya masih kotor dan bercampur dengan larva hewan lain. Masukkan cuk ke air es, secara otomatis mereka akan teler, cuk akan mengendap ke dasar sedangkan Non-cuk akan mengambang.Cuk diambil dengan saringan halus,lalu dimasukan ke dalam air yang telah ditetesi PK, dosis 1/2 tetes untuk ember ukuran 15 liter, ini untuk “membangunkan” cuk, setelah itu cuk dicuci dengan air bersihdan siap disajikan
Jika cuk susah diperoleh, cacing cutra ,cacing rambut, atau cacing darah juga bisa diberikan , namun penggunannya terkadang membuat cupang menjadi kembung. Sebaiknya cacing dibersihkan berulang-ulang dengan air bersih sebelum siap disajikan
B. Ganti Air
Pengolahan air sangat penting agar cupang tetap sehat. Ganti air 50% sebaiknya dilakukan setiap hari,semakin sering air diganti pertumbuhan ikan cupang akan semakin cepat. Batas maksimal pergantian air 3 hari. Caranya cukup menyedot dengan selang plastik.
Seminggu sekali air diganti total. Botol atau akuarium dicuci bersih kemudian dijemur agar kuman-kumannya mati. Cara lain untuk membunh cendawanatau bakteri dengan merendam wadah itu dengan larutan PK dosis tinggi selama 1-2 jam. setelah itu wadah dicuci dengan bersih dan dijemur.
Terlambat mengganti air menyebabkan penyakit. sisa pakan dan kotoran cupang yang mengendap di dasar air dapat menyebabkan penyakit misalnya: white spot , velvet, busung dan berak putih

Dicuil, Irish monk and geographer, born in the second half of the 8th century.
The exact dates of Dicuil's birth and death unknown. Of his life nothing is known except that he belonged probably to one of the numerous Irish monasteries of the Frankish Kingdom, became acquainted, by personal observation, with the islands near England and Scotland, and wrote between 814 and 816 an astronomical, and in 825 a geographical work.
The astronomical work is a sort of computus in four books, in prose and verse, preserved only in a manuscript which formerly belonged to the monastery of Saint-Amand, and is now at Valenciennes.
More famous is the "De mensura Orbis terrae", a summary of geography, giving concise information about various lands. This work was based upon a "Mensuratio orbis" prepared by order of Theodosius II (435), a manuscript copy of which had found its way to the Carolingian court. Godescalc had already made use of this copy (781-783) in the composition of his celebrated "Evangelistarium". Dicuil draws also upon Pliny the Elder, Gaius Julius Solinus, Paulus Orosius, Isidore of Seville, and other authors, and adds the results of his own investigations.

Iwan Fals (born Virgiawan Listanto; September 3, 1961 in Jakarta) is an Indonesian singer–songwriter. In 2002, Time magazine named him as a Great Asian Hero.
Iwan was born Virgiawan Listanto in Jakarta, on September 3, 1961 to Harsoyo, a soldier, and Lies Suudijah. He studied at SMP 5 Bandung and SMAK BPK Bandung. He continued his studies at Sekolah Tinggi Publisistik and then Jakarta Arts Institute. At the age of thirteen, he performed as a street performer at wedding ceremonies and other social events.
On 1st January 1982, his first son, Galang Rambu Anarki was born. One of his best-known songs, Galang Rambu Anarki, was written for his birth and released on 1982's Opini (Opinion) album. Galang was a guitarist who became a folk musician in his own right, and he died on 25 April 1997 of a suspected morphine overdose. 'Galang Rambu Anarki' translates to "support the sign of anarchy" in English.
Three years later, his first daughter Anissa Cikal Rambu Basae was born. His third child is Rayya Rambu Robbani. He and Rosanna, his wife live in Cibubur, West Java.

Cara Mudah Memelihara Ikan Cupang Dengan Benar
Merawat ikan cupang hias siap kontes tidaklah sulit , yang diperlukan hanyalah ketekunan dan ketelitian pemeliharaan ikan cupang setiap harinya, misalnya permberian pakan yang teratur , penggantian air akuarium yang teratur, dan tidak lupa pula melatih mental ikan cupang. Tak jarang peternak menghabiskan waktu dari pagi hingga malam untuk mengontrol kondisi ikan cupang. A. Pakan Cupang hias diberi pakan alami seperti kutu air. Permberian pakan 2x dalam sehari ,pada waktu pukul 07.00 dan 17.00, berikan pakan yang secukupnya. Terlalu banyak pakan tidak bagus khususnya terhadap kebersihan air di akuarium (dikhawatirkan akan mengendap dan membusuk di dasar air) Pemekaian takaran, seperti sendok teh bisa mengontrol jumlah pemberian pakan. Archaeological evidence shows settlers living on the Faroe Islands in two successive periods prior to the arrival of the Norse, the first between 400 and 600 AD and the second between 600 and 800 AD.[9] Scientists from Aberdeen University have also found early cereal pollen from domesticated plants, which further suggests people may have lived on the islands before the Vikings arrived.[10] Archaeologist Mike Church noted that Dicuil (see below) mentioned what may have been the Faroes. He also suggested that the people living there might have been from Ireland, Scotland or Scandinavia, with possibly groups from all three areas settling there.[11]
A Latin account of a voyage made by Saint Brendan, an Irish monastic saint who lived around 484--578, includes a description of "insulae" (islands) resembling the Faroe Islands. This association, however, is far from conclusive in its description.[12]
Dicuil, an Irish monk of the early 9th century, wrote a more definite account. In his geographical work De menura orbis terrae he claimed he had reliable information of heremitae ex nostra Scotia ("hermits from our land of Ireland") who had lived on the northerly islands of Britain for almost a hundred years until the arrival of Norse pirates.

Merawat ikan cupang hias siap kontes tidaklah sulit , yang diperlukan hanyalah ketekunan dan ketelitian pemeliharaan ikan cupang setiap harinya, misalnya permberian pakan yang teratur , penggantian air akuarium yang teratur, dan tidak lupa pula melatih mental ikan cupang. Tak jarang peternak menghabiskan waktu dari pagi hingga malam untuk mengontrol kondisi ikan cupang.
A. Pakan

Kutu air yang telah dibekukan di dalam freezer pemberiannya cukup dengan dicuil-cuil.
Jentik nyamuk dapat diberikan sebagai selingan setiap 2 hari sekali , bisa juga diberikan untuk makanan pokok. Toh ,ikan cupang yang berumur 1.5 bulan sudah bisa makan makanan yang berukuran besar. Cuk sebaiknya diambil yang teidak bengkok atau tua.
Ada cara untuk menyeleksi cuk. Jentik nyamuk yang diambil dari selokan atau empeng biasanya masih kotor dan bercampur dengan larva hewan lain. Masukkan cuk ke air es, secara otomatis mereka akan teler, cuk akan mengendap ke dasar sedangkan Non-cuk akan mengambang.Cuk diambil dengan saringan halus,lalu dimasukan ke dalam air yang telah ditetesi PK, dosis 1/2 tetes untuk ember ukuran 15 liter, ini untuk “membangunkan” cuk, setelah itu cuk dicuci dengan air bersihdan siap disajikan
Jika cuk susah diperoleh, cacing cutra ,cacing rambut, atau cacing darah juga bisa diberikan , namun penggunannya terkadang membuat cupang menjadi kembung. Sebaiknya cacing dibersihkan berulang-ulang dengan air bersih sebelum siap disajikan
B. Ganti Air
Pengolahan air sangat penting agar cupang tetap sehat. Ganti air 50% sebaiknya dilakukan setiap hari,semakin sering air diganti pertumbuhan ikan cupang akan semakin cepat. Batas maksimal pergantian air 3 hari. Caranya cukup menyedot dengan selang plastik.
Seminggu sekali air diganti total. Botol atau akuarium dicuci bersih kemudian dijemur agar kuman-kumannya mati. Cara lain untuk membunh cendawanatau bakteri dengan merendam wadah itu dengan larutan PK dosis tinggi selama 1-2 jam. setelah itu wadah dicuci dengan bersih dan dijemur.
Terlambat mengganti air menyebabkan penyakit. sisa pakan dan kotoran cupang yang mengendap di dasar air dapat menyebabkan penyakit misalnya: white spot , velvet, busung dan berak putih
