Un saluto a tutti voi, miei carissimi amici e "followers" di Youtube! Seconda parte dedicata alla giornata di Train Spotting passata a Roma Tiburtina. In questa parte possiamo vedere il passaggio del TEC di RailOne con le casse mobili "Stante Logistics", il Merci di Oceanogate con la E189 ex Rail Italia, il Merci di Nord Cargo con la E189 "all black", il Rolling con una E652 e 2 Piano Ribassato + 2 MDVC, vari Frecciarossa, Italo, Intercity e il Vivalto nella nuova Livrea Trenitalia visto nell'anteprima con la E464.589 nella medesima livrea. Insomma, un pò di tutto! :-D Prossimamente arriverà l'ultima parte girata a Roma Termini. Spero che, come sempre, sia stato di vostro gradimento! Alla prossima! :-D

Konkan Railway line ends at Kenjar near Mangalore and Southern Railway takes over. Officially, Mangalore Junction is considered as the changeover point.

Beauty of KONKAN RAILWAY: A travel compilation!

This is a journey compilation shot onboard the Mangalore-Madgaon Intercity Express. Clips include some station skips, glimpses of the mighty Western Ghat mountain ranges, flying over a few notable bridges, going through a few tunnels and the like. Konkan Railway was inaugurated on January 26th, 1998 with a motto to connect Mangalore with Mumbai via the shortest rail route. There are 2 dedicated trains that run in between these two cities: Matsyagandha Express and Mangalore Express along with several other short and long distance trains. The Mangalore-Madgaon Intercity is the newest of the lot and thus runs pretty empty giving the passengers a chance to thoroughly enjoy the Konkan vistas. The first train on Konkan Railway was the Mangalore-Udupi Passenger which now runs as the popular Mangalore-Madgaon Passenger. The longest bridge of the route is the Sharavati B bridge at 2.065 Kilometers and can be seen in this video. The longest tunnel is the 6.5 Kilometer long Karbude tunnel. Longest one in Karnataka state is the 3 kilometer long Karwar tunnel which is shown in this video. The route is rated for 160 Kmph but the maximum speed is restricted to 120 Kmph which is further restricted to 90 Kmph in the monsoons.
