Flanders
Flanders (Dutch: Vlaanderen , French: Flandre) today normally refers to the Dutch speaking northern portion of Belgium. It is one of the regions and communities of Belgium. Historically, the name referred to a region located in the north-western part of present-day Belgium and adjacent parts of France and the Netherlands. Both in the historical and the contemporary meaning, the demonym associated with Flanders is Fleming, while the corresponding adjective is Flemish. Brussels is the capital of Flanders, though it is also autonomous and only partially under Flanders' jurisdiction. Over the course of history, the geographical territory that was called "Flanders" has varied, and usage in English was at most periods much vaguer and imprecise than in the region itself. From around 1000 AD, Flanders historically meant the land situated along the North Sea from the Strait of Dover to the Scheldt estuary with ill-defined southern borders. It came to refer specifically to the County of Flanders, lasting from 862 to 1795, whose territory was situated in the northwestern part of what is now Belgium (approximately the modern Belgian provinces of East and West Flanders), and what are now parts of northern France (French Flanders), and the Netherlands (Zeelandic Flanders). Through marriage, the County of Flanders was joined with most of the rest of the Low Countries around 1400 AD, and it lost its independence. Most of the county's territory became part of an independent Belgium in 1830, and during the 19th and 20th centuries, it became increasingly commonplace to refer to the entire Dutch-speaking and northern part of Belgium as "Flanders", including the Belgian parts of the Duchy of Brabant and Limburg. In the late 20th century, Belgium became a federal state in which the Dutch-speaking part was given autonomy as the Flemish Community (Dutch: Vlaamse Gemeenschap) and the Flemish Region (Dutch: Vlaams Gewest); these two entities were effectively merged, except that only the Flemish Community, not the Flemish region, has jurisdiction over Brussels, its capital. Dominican people
Dominicans (Spanish: Dominicanos) are a multi-ethnic people who originate from the Dominican Republic. Dominican is also the demonym for the inhabitants of the Captaincy General of Santo Domingo, which was retained when independence was subsequently obtained. High School Basketball at Its Most Intense: Indiana's All-State Tournament (1998)
Hoosier /ˈhuːʒər/ is the official demonym for a resident of the U.S. state of Indiana. Although most Americans typically adopt a derivative of the state name (either "Indianan" or "Indianian"), these derivatives are not in official use or proper within Indiana. The origin of the term remains a matter of debate within the state,[1] but "Hoosier" was in general use by the 1840s,[2] having been popularized by Richmond resident John Finley's 1833[2] poem "The Hoosier's Nest".[3] Indiana adopted the nickname "The Hoosier State" more than 150 years ago.[1] "Hoosier" is used in the names of numerous Indiana-based businesses and organizations. "Hoosiers" is also the name of the Indiana University athletic teams and seven active and one disbanded athletic conference in the Indiana High School Athletic Association have the word "Hoosier" in their name. As there is no accepted embodiment of a Hoosier, the IU schools are represented through their letters and colors alone. The fellowship felt among Hoosiers was referred to in Kurt Vonnegut's book, Cat's Cradle, where it is said that this fellowship is an example of a granfalloon. Vonnegut was himself a Hoosier and a graduate of Shortridge High School in Indianapolis. In the movie The Outlaw Josey Wales (starring Clint Eastwood), a shop keeper states "He's a Hoosier" to the disgust of an elderly customer. PFC Bill Smith is referred to by the nickname "Hoosier" in the HBO miniseries The Pacific, as well as in the books on which the series is based (Helmet For My Pillow by Robert Leckie and With The Old Breed: At Peleliu and Okinawa by Eugene Sledge). Adam Savage, host of the Discovery Channel series Mythbusters, often refers to co-host Jamie Hyneman as a Hoosier as he was raised on a farm in Indiana and attended Indiana University. Serial killer Carl Panzram's last words were reportedly, "Hurry it up, you Hoosier bastard! I could kill 10 men while you're fooling around!" In the movie We're No Angels, Sean Penn's character says when asked to wear work clothes as a disguise, "Whaddya think I am, a Hoosier or something?" In the book Donnie Brasco: My Undercover Life in the Mafia, gangster Benjamin "Lefty Guns" Ruggiero uses Hoosier as an epithet. In the television series "Parks and Recreation", which takes place in the fictional town of Pawnee, Indiana, Leslie Knope uses an online dating website called "Hoosiermate.com". These last three points seem to carry the implication that "hoosier" may have been used as an insult in other parts of the country. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoosier- published: 13 Jul 2014

Romantic Comedy Movies - Pinoy Comedy - English subtitles full movies ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Pinoy is an informal demonym referring to the Filipino people in the Philippines and overseas Filipinos around the world.[1][2] Filipinos usually refer to themselves as Pinoy or sometimes the feminine Pinay.[1] The word is formed by taking the last four letters of Filipino and adding the diminutive suffix -y in the Tagalog language (the suffix is commonly used in Filipino nicknames: "Ninoy" or "Noynoy" for Benigno, "Totoy" for Augusto, etc.). Pinoy was used for self-identification by the first wave of Filipinos going to the continental United States before World War II and has been used both in a pejorative sense as well as a term of endearment similar to Chicano.[3][4] Both Pinoy and Pinay are still regarded as derogatory by some Filipinos though they are widely used and gaining mainstream usage ================================================ Thank you for watching movies, if you love movies, Please like comment, and share- published: 24 Jun 2014
