Am kommenden 11. Juli werden sich die Premierminister der EU in Turin zu einem Treffen versammeln, auf dem über „Jugendbeschäftigung“ gesprochen werden soll. Aber vielleicht wäre es passender, von Jugenderwerbslosigkeit zu sprechen. Wenn wir die Zahlen für Europa betrachten, stellen wir fest, dass durchschnittlich 24 Prozent der unter Fünfundzwangigjährigen erwerbslos sind. Im Süden des Kontinents wird jedoch die 40-Prozent-Grenze weit überschritten, und in Spanien und Griechenland liegen die betreffenden Zahlen deutlich über 50 Prozent.
