South Africa, officially the Republic of South Africa, is a country located at the southern tip of Africa. It is divided into nine provinces and has 2,798 kilometres (1,739 mi) of coastline. To the north of the country lie the neighbouring territories of Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe; to the east are Mozambique and Swaziland; while Lesotho is an enclave surrounded by South African territory.
South Africa is multi-ethnic and has diverse cultures and languages. Eleven official languages are recognised in the constitution. Two of these languages are of European origin: South African English and Afrikaans, a language which originated mainly from Dutch that is spoken by the majority of white and Coloured South Africans. Though English is commonly used in public and commercial life, it is only the fifth most-spoken home language. All ethnic and language groups have political representation in the country's constitutional democracy comprising a parliamentary republic; unlike most parliamentary republics, the positions of head of state and head of government are merged in a parliament-dependent President.
Blessed Pope John Paul II (Latin: Ioannes Paulus PP. II, Italian: Giovanni Paolo II, Polish: Jan Paweł II), born Karol Józef Wojtyła (Polish: [ˈkarɔl ˈjuzɛf vɔjˈtɨwa]; 18 May 1920, Wadowice, Republic of Poland – 2 April 2005, Apostolic Palace, Vatican City), reigned as Pope of the Catholic Church from 1978 until his death in 2005. He was the second-longest serving Pope in history and the first non-Italian since 1523.
John Paul II was acclaimed as one of the most influential leaders of the 20th century. He was instrumental in ending communism in his native Poland and eventually all of Europe. John Paul II significantly improved the Catholic Church's relations with Judaism, Islam, the Eastern Orthodox Church, and the Anglican Communion. Though criticised by progressives for upholding the Church's teachings against artificial contraception and the ordination of women, and by traditionalists for his support of the Church's Second Vatican Council and its reform, he was also widely praised for his firm, orthodox Catholic stances.

"The Umpire Is A Most Unhappy Man" is from the musical comedy "The Umpire." Joseph E.Howard wrote the music.
The witty lyrics are by Hough and Adams.
Edward M. Favor lived from August 29, 1856 to 10 January 10, 1936.
He enjoyed his first success in the early 1890s as a Broadway comedian during the long run of E. E. Rice's 1492 at Wallack's Theater.
Around 1893 he recorded "The King's Song" (Columbia cylinder 6544), a popular number from this hit musical.
From another show of this period, Ship Ahoy, he cut "The Commodore Song" (North American 772). The record opens with this announcement: "Edison Record 772, The Commodore Song from Ship Ahoy as sung by the original commodore Mr. Edward M. Favor, now of Rice's 1492 Company."
These are probably the first "creator" records, or records featuring songs from musical shows as sung by an original cast member. He was principal comedian with Klaw and Erlanger, the Shuberts, and other prominent managers.
The team of Favor and his wife, known professionally as Edith Sinclair (presumably her maiden name), were in vaudeville and musical comedies.
By the late 1890s, Favor was among the most popular recording artists. He made records at a dollar a "round" between periods of filling vaudeville dates, working for virtually all companies. Billy Murray told Jim Walsh that he had seen Favor, in 1897, sing into eight cylinder phonographs at the headquarters of Bacigalupi Brothers, Edison wholesale distributors for the Western states.
Favor, who was then appearing at the Orpheum Theater, made an indelible impression on Murray. The veteran recording artist cupped his hands behind his ears to determine whether the tone was hitting the horn straight in the center.
He possessed a high Irish voice, and his records include many Irish songs and nonsense ditties, many of the latter taking the form of limericks.
Favor was among the first around 1899 to make records sold by Frank Seaman's National Gramophone Corporation (3 and 5 West 18th Street in New York City), a subsidiary of the Universal Talking Machine Company. Its Zon-o-phone discs would soon compete with Berliners in the disc market. Favor began his association with Victor when it was called the Consolidated Talking Machine Company, his first session for Eldridge R. Johnson's new company taking place on July 26, 1900.
He had a Victor session as late as 1911.
In a 1968 interview with researcher Leo Kimmett, a former Edison employee named Clarence Ferguson recalled his friendship with Favor: "One time Edward Favor spent about two hours at my home listening to his own records. He had never heard them after they had been made."
Ferguson also recalled Favor saying he earned $50 from Edison for singing for a cylinder "but the same song for Victor or the Columbia disc he would get from $150 to $200...Singing for a disc record he had to shout to the top of his voice to record on the disc."
Favor's career as a recording artists was in decline before double-faced records were introduced in 1908.
Newspaper clippings establish that at some point, perhaps in 1906, Favor and his wife entertained in South Africa and Australia. In 1906 they also appeared in "Hogan's Flat," a farcical sketch, not a full show. They were successful entertainers, clearly able to satisfy a vaudeville crowd, but they were not Broadway stars.
Among his last two records were Blue Amberols featuring "My Best Girl and Me" (1510), from the musical comedy My Best Girl, and Gillen's "If They'd Only Move Old Ireland Over Here" (2391), from the Blanche Ring vehicle When Claudia Smiles. The latter number, his final Edison record, was issued in September 1914. Favor was far more important to Edison as an artist during the era of brown wax cylinders and Standard Records. He did not make Diamond Discs.
Around 1914 he also recorded "On The 7:28," a train song issued on Rex 5251 (the song was written by Stanley Murphy and Henry I. Marshall, who soon afterwards wrote "On the 5:15"). Rex issued "Indoor Sports" (5254) at the same time, and this was probably Favor's last record. He remained active in theater through the early 1930s. For example, he appeared in 1933 as grocer James Caesar in a production of John Ferguson at the Belmont Theater in New York City. He was successful playing the role of Amos Gashwiler, a country storekeeper, in the Broadway production of Merton of the Movies.
Favor died in Brooklyn on January 10, 1936.
His daughter, Bessie, was 82 when she died in October 1959, which suggests that Edward Favor married Edith Sinclair at least by 1877.
Some sources report that he was born Edward M. Le Fevre but the Favor family bible establishes that he was named Edward Addison Favor. It is also the source of his birth date: August 29, 1856.
The ashes of the Favors are in the Evergreens Cemetery at Bushwick Avenue and Conway Street in Brooklyn.

South African Art - Politics And Progress For The Masters?
South African art its masters world renowned paintings and grass roots artists alike have all been shaped to some extent by the politics of social change over the past century. Artistic practice in much of South Africa has been affected by official policies of racial segregation wars economic and political migration and an infinite number of marginal influences that combine to form the creative identity of the artist and their choice of subject. In the early years of British colonial rule great masters such as Jacob Hendrik Pierneef 1886 1957 were exiled in Holland due to the AngloBoer Wars. Undoubtedly artists such as him evolved their creative genius through painting and education abroad. These skills and influences were then adopted by other South African painters when these old masters returned from their exile. The exchange of ideas between European colonial artists and their native black counterparts was not just a oneway process. Although missionaries patrons and educators exposed African artists to western artistic practices so too did many white South African modernists adopt African aesthetic elements and collaborate with like minded black South African artists. Walter Battiss 1906 1982 Alexis Preller 19111975 and many other South African artists united to form The New Group. These artists explored an unconventional modern art whose foundation was centred about the integration of African and European aesthetics. They also organised exhibitions celebrating the paintings of black South African artists such as Gerard Sekoto 1913 1993. This social trend continued throughout the early 1900s until the Era of apartheid that began in 1948. During apartheid artistic practice and the subject matter of paintings in South Africa took a radical shift. African art in general could be considered as activist art always provoking reactionary attitudes in those that view it. Much of the artwork produced in this era is anything but passive in its visual impact or political message its purpose was social change Although artists played a prominent role in the resistance movement politically minded artists such as Michael Maapola 1964 present were persecuted and black artists work was rarely exhibited. Much township art was destroyed by security forces leaving a significant gap in the nation's cultural legacy. Louis Khela Maqhubela 1939 present whose paintings are a combination of abstract figures symbolism and genre scenes of everyday life continued to exhibit his work during apartheid. Artistic protest took the global stage at the height of sanctions and the cultural boycott. A French based association called Artists of the World against Apartheid launched a global appeal for artists to contribute to a collection of antiapartheid paintings. This significant fusion of works is perhaps South Africa's single most valuable international art collection once estimated at over 13 Million Rand. The end of apartheid in 1990 saw the homecoming of the collection and the full integration of South African artists into international artistic community following elimination of the United Nations cultural boycott. South African Paintings Achieve Records For Established Art MastersApartheid undoubtedly inspired a lot of influential art in South Africa. The liberating voices of artists did much to capture the attitudes and opinions of people during this time. The cultural value of these works is indisputably priceless however what of the monetary value Has South African art seen a progressive increase in value since the end of apartheid Can South African Masters set records at auction like their European counterparts have been doing in recent yearsThe South African art market would indeed seem to be following world trends South African paintings have been realising fabulous prices. The art market is booming on a global level and South Africa is no exception. In 2007 Bonhams of London established their firstever auction solely devoted to South African art. It saw over 2000000 worth of art being auctioned the sale included works by major South African masters. It is a valuable indication therefore about the position of modern South African art internationally and that these paintings are no longer of interest only to the domestic art market. Irma Stern's The Tomato Picker was knocked down for 310000 against the catalogue presale estimate of 160000240000. Sekoto's Wash Day achieved a hammer price of 140000 and Alexis Preller's Portrait

Travel video about destination Cape Town Beach in South-Africa.
During the days of apartheid, the Muizenberg beach was off limits to blacks. They could only go to beaches abandoned by the whites : beaches that were too dangerous, or shark-infested… After apartheid, a white man decided to initiate poor black kids in surfing, to get them off drugs. One pupil even became world champion, to the delight of the whole community. Social rifts still exist, however. In this travel video guide to South Africa, I travel to South Africa's Kruger National Park, one of the world's best places for wildlife viewing. In this travel video I go in search of lion, while also catching glimpses of giraffes, elephants, rhinos, buffalo, hyenas, and baboons.
On the way, my crew and I cruise the African bush in a converted Land Rover, stop at frightening Lake Panic, and have lunch with a few hundred bats at Skukuza restcamp, You know, typical safari stuff.

Johannesburg is the commercial centre of South Africa. Since gold was first discovered there, everything has revolved around money and from the 50th floor of Africa’s tallest building, The Carlton Towers, there is an all-engulfing view of the city’s narrow streets and jungle of concrete and glass. The African Museum is a contemporary building and one of South Africa’s most exquisite landmarks, it contains a large variety of geological exhibits and detailed accounts of the city’s past surface mining that gave rise to the country’s massive gold rush. The resistance to apartheid is also illustrated, as well as the history of Africa’s native inhabitants who journeyed from present day Botswana to the south of the country. In contrast to Johannesburg, Pretoria grew at a calmer pace and has developed from a Boer farming municipality into South Africa’s administrative capital. Located on a hill is the Vortrekker Monument that is a reminder of the Boers’ Great Trek and, in 1830, the crucial battle in which they defeated the Zulus. Sun City is a magnificent fantasy world full of African ambience and the Sun City Hotel is the casino that made Sol Kerzner the richest man in South Africa, whereas the futuristic Cascades Hotel derived its name from its wonderful setting of waterfalls, pools and lush plant life. The route travels northeast over the misty and one time heavily defended Drakens Mountains in the direction of the Kruger Park that extends along the border with Mosambique. From Kruger, the journey continues across Swaziland and Kwazulu Natal to Port Elizabeth on the Indian Ocean’s south coast. Along the rocky coastline a road leads to the southernmost tip of Africa, the Cape Of Good Hope. For those lucky enough to experience it, the drive on the spectacular mountain road around the Cape is an amazing adventure. One of the many natural wonders of this unique land that unites European influence with African pride.

Shepherd Entertainment takes you on a tour of Sun City in South Africa, the resort and experience complex which is a little bit like a theme reservation, a little bit park with slides, a little bit hotel and a little bit Disneyland which guaranties a wonderful vacation and causes homesickness.
Visit Sun City in South Africa The site we mustn't miss in South Africa is the resort and experience complex consisting of Sun City and lost city. It's a little bit like a theme reservation, a little bit park with slides, a little bit hotel and a little bit Disneyland which guaranties a wonderful vacation and causes homesickness. Anyone who has seen it only in pictures or film would like to see it in its reality and anyone who has been there would like to return. Sol Kesner the young bookkeeper working in the catering industry opened his first hotel in 1964. His business empire became bigger and bigger by selling and buying shares, he was able to make his dream come true by 1980 which has become a dream of ours as well. The exotic world of Sun City has tropical forest and among the trees, orchids bloom. The scent is intoxicating, the colors are damped by the light coming through the leaves among the branches, monkeys and parrots with colorful feathers squeal. In the lakes flamingo's can be seen and water lilies bloom. A flight of exotic birds enjoy the jungle. On the grass of parks delicate peacocks sweep. Realistic statues of the animals of Africa ornament the streets, bridges, corridors and terraces. Friendly zebras, elephants, funny monkeys and more lions watch us everywhere. In the sheltered sea bay with its white sand, you can get a real bath in the waves. It's a world of tales where everything got to be found in unspoiled nature but without its dangers. In this jungle there are no pythons or tigers leveling at us. In the rivers there are no crocodiles and even mosquitoes are exterminated regularly. The charm of Sun City resides in a fact that we get concentrated African experiences well not only our safety and comfort are taking cared off but also our entertainment. Here, it's impossible to be bored. In the building of a five star hotel cascades, there's a casino and a theatre hall for thousands of people which also cater for our entertaining.

Cape Town is the second largest city in South Africa and is the capital of the Western Cape Province, as well as being the legislative capital of South Africa (the Houses of Parliament are here). It is located in the south-west corner of the country near the Cape of Good Hope, and is the most southern city in Africa. It is a stone's throw from South Africa's world-famous Cape Winelands around Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek.
Cape Town is the second-most populous city in South Africa, after Johannesburg, and the provincial capital and primate city of the Western Cape. As the seat of the National Parliament, it is also the legislative capital of the country. It forms part of the City of Cape Town metropolitan municipality. The city is famous for its harbour, for its natural setting in the Cape floral kingdom, as well as for such well-known landmarks as Table Mountain and Cape Point.
Located on the shore of Table Bay, Cape Town was first developed by the Dutch East India Company as a victualling (supply) station for Dutch ships sailing to East Africa, India, and the Far East. Jan van Riebeeck's arrival on 6 April 1652 established the first permanent European settlement in South Africa. Cape Town quickly outgrew its original purpose as the first European outpost at the Castle of Good Hope, becoming the economic and cultural hub of the Cape Colony. Until the Witwatersrand Gold Rush and the development of Johannesburg, Cape Town was the largest city in South Africa. Today it is one of the most multicultural cities in the world, reflecting its role as a major destination for immigrants and expatriates[4] to South Africa. In 2011 the metropolitan region had an estimated population of 3.74 million. The city was named the World Design Capital for 2014 by the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design. In 2014 Cape Town was named the best place in the world to visit by The New York Times.

The Camps Bay beach is for the wealthiest, obviously mostly white, whereas the blacks tend to go to the Muizenberg Beach. In the evening, however, they all frequent the bars, restaurants and clubs along the Camp Bay promenade. As violence is still prevalent in South African society, the security measures are particularly tight here, to protect local citizens and visitors alike…

Shepherd Entertainment takes you on a tour of Pretoria in South Africa, which was named after Andries Pretorius, a Boer strategies
who beat the Zulu.
Visit Pretoria in South Africa
Pretoria was named after Andries Pretorius, a Boer strategies who beat the Zulu. The first war between the English and Boer to get independence ended with the defeat of the English. But 18 years later, they had a decisive victory and they ruled all over the South African republic.
It's interesting that the later prime minister, the young Churchan took part as a correspondent in the second Boer war. The sites of Pretoria remind us of the two wars even today. Paul Kruger was the respected President of the country between the two wars. In Church Wit, we can find the simple house where he lived for seven years. The entrance is guarded by two marble lions. The furniture looks as if the President had just stood from his desk.
In one of the rooms, the copy of the room in which he died during his exile in Switzerland has been furnished. Behind the house, a locomotive has been displayed that he traveled around the country in during his seven active years. In the street named after Kruger, we can find the red bricked church and the town hall with the Pretoria statues in its yard.
The brown statue of President Kruger has been placed in the main square called church square. Statues made in Italy stood in a store houses a secret for a long time. It was stood up only after the second Boer war. The square has always been a heart of the town. In the middle of the square, there's a small church around which markets and auctions where held for long time.
In the square, we can find the palace of justice and the building of the old parliament with the clock tower. The peace agreement closing the English Boer war was signed into the Victorian building of Melrose house in May 1902.
Boer Trekker monument is six kilometers from the town center. The imposing work was made in memory of the battle of Blood River where the Boer beat the Zulu at last. Further way above forty kilometers from Pretoria, we can see premiere diamond mine which is famous because the biggest diamond of the world was found here.
It took cutters from Amsterdam two years to make the diamonds called the star of Africa and the smaller star of Africa from the 3,106 karat precious stone which belongs to the British royal crown. The crown can be admired in the treasury of the towel of London. In the main square full of life hawkers offer fast food for example boiled or roasted corn.

Shepherd Entertainment takes you on a tour of Cape Peninsula in South Africa, which was once an island, but about sixty million
years ago it was joined to the mainland by the emergence from the sea of the sandy area now known as the Cape Flats.
On the motorway leaving the beaches and bays of Cape Town, we go past the mountain range called The 12 Apostles. The Governor, Sir Rufane Donkin named the sandstone peaks. At the bottom of the mountain lies the most beautiful Villa Cora of Cape Town. Several foreigners have bought a house here among the palm trees facing the waves of the Atlantic Ocean. The rocky bays favor the various water sports of surfing and kiting. The cape's bay has a popular region of resorts with places for a picnic and restaurants which offers local, mainly marine specialties.
The nearby sandy bay is the local nudist haven. We get to Hawke Bay accompanied by colorful flowers. It's the center of tourism. It's a popular place for yachts coming from various parts of the world. At the fish market, fresh goods are sold. The restaurant furnished like a ship, we can even try the fish specialties which often served with edible flowers, it's worth the burger and shark steak. Better for us to eat them than vice versa, and tasty crab dishes.
In the small shops and marketplace of mariners' waterfront, we can choose from original African souvenirs. There are colorful text files, petite silk, jewels made of shells and pearls, ornaments and carvings.
Duiker, the seal island is the peculiarity of the island. We started towards it on a small motored ship on the water of the ocean. The water under us seems surprisingly clean. We could see about five to six meters deep. After we got out of the protection of the bay into the open ocean, the waves hit more and more strongly on the bow of our ship. The wind picked up. Our ship paused on the top of the waves and we glided down like on a roller coaster. On the rocks of remote mountainous passages, waves with foam went to pieces. The wind brought cold air. We were approaching the seals. In the middle of summer in January, the sound of almost 4000 seals is brought by the wind. Lots of seals lie in the sand on the stone island. One or two of them swam to our ship to welcome us. They rotated, jumped out of the water and swam along our ship lifting their tails. They're kind faces looked as if they always smiled.
The surprisingly massive 1,500-meter stone island is a small picket of the Atlantic Ocean. We tried to coast closer but the seals didn't mind at all. On the rocks, two huge males were fighting for the better area. The engine of our ship was turned off. We floated on the water in silence for minutes with the company of seals. The stream of the sea drifted our ship close to the rocks so the sailors restarted the engine and we swept around the island. In the drift, as the wind is coming from the open ocean, the waves became bigger and bigger.
Our ship gets some huge warnings while we were sailing back to the protection of the bay. I can see the huge stones of the jagged passage from beneath. The waves continuously hit the broken mountainside. The waves became calmer, the water was again semi transparent. We arrived at the harbor. Another group was waiting for the ship to return so they could go on a cruise to see the seals.
Writer Vivian living in South Africa, she has written several articles and books about this wonderful country.
600 meters above Hawke Bay, the crooked scenic road takes us to the Cape of Good Hope. It was named after the British seaman John Shevlin who was the discoverer of the Bay. The Dutch planted in 1915 and had illegal workers build it in 7 years. From the parking area, we can see Seal Island and the rocky bays.
The harbors are the places of people of various descent, color, language and culture everywhere. It's the same here. Let's enjoy the colorful odes and performances of street musicians.
The famous Cape of Good Hope is the south end of Africa. The small peninsulas bordered by the Indian Ocean with its warm friendly water on the east and the Atlantic Ocean which is cooler unfriendly water on the west. Tourists flock here from afar to see the point where the two might oceans meet.
We can send word to our friends from the end of the world. The stamps bought here stamped with the Cape of Good Hope's stamp. A nature reserve established here is about 8000 hectares. The huge savannah burst into blossom during the autumn months giving an unforgettable spectacle to those who visit the area that time. The Area of Clanwilliam which is located on the north from here is also famous for its flowers. On the Peninsula, 1,200 kinds of plants and several kinds of animals live, 160 of them are birds. We can see antelopes, ostriches and baboons. Their special because they're the only monkeys who eat seafood such as fish, shell and algae.

Shepherd Entertainment takes you on a tour of Cape Town, the biggest city of Pretoria which is the capital of South Africa.
Visit Cape Town in South Africa
The South African republic is also called the country of rainbows because of its colorful and its unique natural beauties. Wild areas abundant in big game, beaches tempting for bathing, rocks rising into the sky, picturesque lakes and huge water falls make such a colorful tapestry that local women sell at the local markets. The area of South Africa has over one million two thousand square kilometers and it's supported by Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Two independent monarchies Lesotho and Swaziland are in set.
The country has forty two million inhabitants who can speak English, Africans, Zulu and eight other tribal languages. The capital of South Africa is Pretoria. Its biggest city is Cape Town.
Due to the history of city, there are Victorian and at worthy an area buildings as well as modern skyscrapers and shopping centers. The biggest and maybe the most beautiful building of Cape Town is the Good Hope Castle. The Dutch eastern India Company had the imposing pentagonal fortress with corner towers built in 1697 to protect the settlers.
The famous buildings of its city are the Nico theatre which includes the upper house, the town hall with its colonial style and the parliament located next to the company gardens. The oldest church of the country is Gruptek meaning big church built in 1678. The city lies on the relatively narrow rocky coastal passage between the board mountain and the sea. This is one of the biggest caves and has the most wonderful locations that I've ever seen and the first Sir Francis Drake in 1580. His ship was the famous Golden hinggle in which he was able to circle of the Cape now on display in London in one of the docks other of tens.
The harbor of Cape Town is one of the busiest commercial centers of Africa. It's a busy place to receive unload goods. It's located half way between South America and Australia. Its excellent location had been recognized by Portuguese, Dutch and English sea men centuries before.
In 1652 young Van Riebeeck and his small troop landed here to set up transit stations for sailors from the commission of the Dutch eastern India Company. In the area lived only push men until a small town is established. The ships were loaded with fresh vegetables, fruit, meat, fish and fresh water and in the docks; the damages of the sailing ships were repaired. The growing town became a center of paper and textile manufacturing. They're relatively small civic center is dominated by a Victorianier of buildings.
Along the lengthy avenues several green parks provide fresh air outside the historic city center, more and more skyscrapers and modern shopping centers are being built. The most colorful side of Cape Town is the green market square where you can find the market and the most pleasant is Company Gardens. The exotic flowers, artificial palms, fountains, blooming bushes and a local people picnicking make the parks of the city colorful.

Visit the Pilanesberg National Park in South Africa - Travel Guide
World Tube https://www.youtube.com/user/World1Tube
Travel Guide South Africa http://bit.ly/12NxxNm
Shepherd Entertainment takes you on a tour of the Pilanesberg National Park in South Africa, which is the third largest game
reservation of the country which was opened in 1979.
Visiting Pilanesberg in South Africa
The Pilanesberg national park is the third largest game reservation of the country which was opened in 1979 all together 8,000 specimens of several species of animals lived here among them, the five big games, lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos and rhinoceroses.
Besides them we can see giraffes, zebras, antelopes and monkeys of course. Safari is done open buses around the park so there's a good opportunity to take photographs. Of course it's not allowed to get off the buses. It serves the safety of visitors as well as the visited animals. The motion mostly watching rhino charged us at the noise of Rocco running away. As sighted its head quickly but after the noise of my shot, my rhinoceros didn't collapse but turned around suddenly and run away.
But I had time to shoot another sighting its shoulder. It happened in a moment and the rhino disappeared in a moment. Paulo was in the bad mood because he liked only to shoot the game. I beckon Paulo to move. Getting out of the shrubbery, we followed the path of the shot game. Only a rhino shot in the shoulder has such a big blood print. As if the night's fresh blood were watered by a can. My African tanning light shoes became bloody walking in the pools of blood. Our rhino lay about 80 or a hundred steps from the sight of shooting. He was lying, collapsed and turning towards us. The kirangosian and Rocco told me to shoot him because they thought it was still alive. Its horn was prominent and strong, so I was afraid that my prey was a white rhino.
I leaned my gun against the rhinos back and I tried to lift his head lying in the blood to see its lips. The upper lips of black rhinoceros are pointed like a trunk but white rhinoceroses have a straight lip, I was trying to lift the heavy head using every effort and Paulo was also coming to help me. Suddenly the head became light when my rhino lifted his head and looked at me. It can imagine the look on my face as I trying to back away from the dangerous animal seemly to come to life again by jumping back. I must have set the jumping record from the year of 1929.
Paulo and my people all shouted and scattered, "shoot him", it was easy to say but hard to do because my gun was leaned against the back of the rhinoceros. The rhino dropped his head back into the pool of flood. The panic was totally unnecessary. The sudden lift of the head was the last reflex of life.
Now we look at the shots. The first shot intended to its forehead had hit his horn which stopped the bullet. At the same time, it stopped the rhino from running towards us. The second shot went to his shoulder going through his lung. The horn was prominently strong. It was almost 20 inches long and weighed almost 12 pounds dried up. Kalman Kittenberger wrote that one of his hunts.
Ambitious tourists if not with the gun but torches in their hands can watch the game at night with local leaders. We can pay not only for a Safari at dawn, in the afternoon or at night but also a panorama flight in a balloon with champagne where we can watch the animals from a safe distance. It's an unforgettable trip above the Pilanesberg Mountains.
Beside the national park, we can find some of accommodations of various equipment, size and price. There are African bungalows with reed roof and public bathrooms with cold water and luxurious apartments with a swimming pool and self service dinning. From the terrace of some hotels, we can watch wild animals in the day and hear the cries of wild life lying in our beds at night.

Durban is the largest city in the South African province of KwaZulu-Natal. It is also the second most important manufacturing hub in South Africa after Johannesburg. It forms part of the eThekwini metropolitan municipality. Durban is famous for being the busiest port in South Africa and Africa. It is also seen as one of the major centres of tourism because of the city's warm subtropical climate and extensive beaches. The municipality, which includes neighbouring towns, has a population of almost 3.5 million, making the combined municipality the biggest city on the Indian Ocean coast of the African continent. The metropolitan land area of 2,292 square kilometres (885 sq mi) is comparatively larger than other South African cities, resulting in a somewhat lower population density of 1,513 /km2 (3,920 /sq mi).

The Battle for Johannesburg, by Rehad Desai & Darryl Els,
(South Africa, 2010, 71')
The dark side of the 2010 World Cup : the richest city in Africa is experiencing a major clean up, marked by speculation and social paradox. The Battle for Johannesburg captures the changing face of a city that's preparing to host the 2010 FIFA World Cup. It's a tale of property developers vying for sections of the crumbling city with renewed excitement, of a city council determined to create a « world class city » and ultimately of how this affects the hundreds of thousands of people who

Audio knjiga /Radio drame/ A .C .Doyle /Grimizna Studija
Napisao je i dužu knjigu The Great Boer War 1900.
Kip Arthura Conana Doylea u Crowboroughu
Napisao je The Crime Of The Congo 1909., dugi pamflet koji opisuje zločine u Kongu.
Doyle je pokopan u crkvenom dvorištu u Minsteadu u New Forest, Hampshire, Engleska.

Napisao je i dužu knjigu The Great Boer War 1900.

Napisao je The Crime Of The Congo 1909., dugi pamflet koji opisuje zločine u Kongu.
Doyle je pokopan u crkvenom dvorištu u Minsteadu u New Forest, Hampshire, Engleska.

It's a tale of property developers vying for sections of the crumbling city with renewed excitement, of a city council determined to create a « world class city » and ultimately of how this affects the hundreds of thousands of people who have made the city slums their home. There is money to be spent, even more to be made and conflicting interests are at stake. As whole areas around stadiums get a brush up and the middle classes, black and white, begin to move back in, beneath the scramble for property and space is a human story of survival. The eyes of the world are on South Africa.

Red brick university (or redbrick university) is a term originally used to refer to six civic universities founded in the major industrial cities of England. The term is now used more broadly to refer to British universities founded in the late 19th and early 20th centuries in major cities.[1] All of the six original redbrick institutions, or their predecessor institutes, gained university status before World War I and were initially established as civic science or engineering colleges
Whilst the term was originally coined as these institutions were new and thus regarded by the ancient universities as arriviste,[8] the description has since ceased to be derogatory with the 1960s proliferation of universities and the reclassification of polytechnics in 1992. The six institutions are members of the Russell Group (which receives two-thirds of all research grant funding in the United Kingdom).[9]

Edward M. Favor "The Umpire Is A Most Unhappy Man" Edison cylinder 1906

South African Art - Politics And Progress For The Masters?

Redhill Gun
Since 1906 the Scala Battery a top Red Hill has kept watch over the Naval town of Simons'Town in South Africa. Although this 9.2 Inch breach loading gun was last fired on the 13th of May 1947, she has kept watch over during two world wars and when fired was described as a terrifying sound that could be heard as raw away as Cape Town. #lovecapetown

Travel video about destination South-Africa.

Johannesburg is the commercial centre of South Africa. Since gold was first discovered, everything has revolved around money and from the 50th floor of Africa's tallest building, The Carlton Towers, there is an all-engulfing view of the city's narrow streets and jungle of concrete and glass.
The African Museum is a contemporary building and one of South Africa's most exquisite landmarks. It contains a large variety of geological exhibits and detailed accounts of the citys' past surface mining that gave rise to the country's massive gold rush. The resistance to apartheid is also illustrated, as well as that of the history of Africa's native inhabitants who journeyed from present day Botswana to the south of the country.
Gold Reef City is a large historical theme park that features the Johannesburg of pioneering times and focuses on the clothing, houses and entertainments of the country's golden years. On display are some of the old mining wagons that the workers used to transport the precious rock from the unforgiving mines and there's also a chance to see liquid gold, as it is turned into bullion and processed as gold coins.
In contrast to Johannesburg, Pretoria grew at a calmer pace and has developed from a Boer farming municipality into South Africa's administrative capital. Located on a hill is the Voortrekker Monument that is a reminder of the Boers' Great Trek and in 1830, the crucial battle in which they defeated the Zulus.
Sun City is a magnificent fantasy world full of African ambience and the Sun City Hotel is the casino that made Sol Kerzner the richest man in South Africa, whereas the futuristic Cascades Hotel derived its name from its wonderful setting of waterfalls, pools and lush plant life.
Johannesburg and this whole region of South Africa is the sunshiny place to be!

South Africa Travel Video Guide • Great Destinations
The Republic of South Africa with its diversity and unmatched natural makings is often called "Rainbow Country". Scrublands full of game, beaches inviting for a swim, sky-high mountains, picturesque lakes and cities of historic heritage make up the appeal of the country. The Southest point of Africa: the Cape of Good Hope tells us about famous seamen, the Victorian-style city of Cape Town - about Boer settlers and English colonists. Conservated territories, botanic gardens and Africa's most famous wine-producing territory make up the Cape Peninsula. In Pilanesberg reservation you can meet wild animals in their natural habitat: lions, elephants, giraffes, leopards. Sun City expects the visitors with hotels, casino, aquapark, golf courses and a theme park. The Lesedi Cultural Village presents us the culture, art and traditions of Zulus and other tribes. From South Africa we can take a trip to the thundering cascades of Victoria falls, where there is always a rainbow in the sky.

Travel Guide to a South African Safari
In this travel video guide to South Africa, I travel to South Africa's Kruger National Park, one of the world's best places for wildlife viewing. In this travel video I go in search of lion, while also catching glimpses of giraffes, elephants, rhinos, buffalo, hyenas, and baboons.
On the way, my crew and I cruise the African bush in a converted Land Rover, stop at frightening Lake Panic, and have lunch with a few hundred bats at Skukuza restcamp, You know, typical safari stuff.

Audio knjiga /Radio drame/ A .C .Doyle /Grimizna Studija
Napisao je i dužu knjigu The Great Boer War 1900.

Napisao je The Crime Of The Congo 1909., dugi pamflet koji opisuje zločine u Kongu.
Doyle je pokopan u crkvenom dvorištu u Minsteadu u New Forest, Hampshire, Engleska.
