Scuba Diving / Snorkeling
Recife is famous for being the shipwreck capital of Brazil and many tourists enjoy participating in the under-water activities provided by the city. It has over 100 ships that sank around the coastline of the city and approximately 15 of them are accessible to tourists. Some of the ships have been intentionally sunk, to promote tourism in the form of scuba diving.
Beaches
he coast of Pernambuco is a very long beach that attracts many tourists for its white sand, clear waters and coral reefs.
Amongst all of the beaches, the most beautiful is supposed to be the Boa Viagem beach. While it has clear waters with its trademark coral reefs (you can feel them when the tides recede), it has all the facilities of an urban beach to make visitors comfortable.
