During Lively's childhood, her parents would take her with them to acting classes that they taught because they did not want to leave her with a babysitter. Lively said that watching her parents teach acting classes helped her learn the "drills" of acting and gain confidence as she got older.
Lively was initially not particularly interested in acting, however during the summer between her junior and senior years of high school, her brother, Eric, asked his agent to send her out on a few auditions over a period of a few months. From these few auditions, she got the role of Bridget for The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Lively filmed her scenes in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants between her junior and senior years at Burbank High.

Scott Douglas Lively is an American author, attorney and activist, noted for his opposition to LGBT rights and his involvement in the ex-gay movement. Lively is the president of Abiding Truth Ministries, a conservative Christian organization located in Temecula, California. Lively has called for the criminalization of "the public advocacy of homosexuality" as far back as 2007. He is also directly linked to pending anti-gay legislation in Uganda, which would, if passed, make homosexual conduct punishable by a lengthy prison sentence or death.
Along with Kevin E. Abrams, he co-authored the book The Pink Swastika, which states in the preface that "homosexuals [are] the true inventors of Nazism and the guiding force behind many Nazi atrocities." Several academic historians have questioned the book's claims and selective use of research.
Lively is the former state director for the California branch of the American Family Association and formed Watchmen on the Walls based in Riga, Latvia.
According to a January 2011 profile, Lively "has not changed his view that gays are 'agents of America’s moral decline' but has refocused his approach to fit his flock in Springfield, Massachusetts" and "is toning down his antigay rhetoric and shifting his focus to helping the downtrodden."
Now, "lively" is a funny word
It means a lot of things
But to the burglar people
An urgent call it brings
Cause' when they breakin' open safes
Or nailin' up ....vans(?)
Lively just means
Scap(?) boys to the different game (?)
Chorus:
Lively, lively, the night is going fast
Lively, lively, we both got murky pasts
Lively, lively, don't leave this block(?) untied
Cause' if you did it's a penny to a quip that we both
end up inside!
Solo 1
We broke into a spinster's(?) house
While she was ...ing prayer
She was praying for a men
....(?) she didn't care
We had to dive beneath the bed
The dust there made me sneeze
"Oh, that was great!" the old girl cried
And(?) jumped up on her knees! (?)
Repeat Chorus
Solo 2
Now we rehearsed for days and days
A smashin' grab to do
"You throw the brick" one bloke said
"And I'll leave the grab to you"
The brick went through the window
"Now grab! - they cried - "And quick!"
It wasn't till we got away I've found I grabbed that
brick!
[spoken]
Oh lively, lively... Yeah...
I sang this song once at a policemen' dance
But I wasn't singing for coppers
....was a gangster
While once I've run form the law I ran into a church
I mixed with lots of people just to confuse the search
I've found meself right at the front, the best place I
could hide
I ... afraid when some bloke's said "Got ring? Here
comes the bride!"
Ooops!
Chorus
Solo 3 with some scat
The shop stewart of our union was up before the judge
Who sentens him to 18 months our stwart langed a
grundge
The maximum is twelve months so what rots?!
You always wanted time in a half and that's just what
you've got!"
Lively, lively, the night is going fast
Lively, lively, we both got murky pasts
Lively, lively, don't leave this block(?) untied
Cause' if you did it's a penny to a quip
I go blimey, it come ... (?)
(different band member) Oh, Lord, ...!
(another band member)... and here we go!
(yet another voice)... here comes the couple(?)!
(Lonnie again) I want some beer and if you...
Doctors and naive love
Silver spoons over fire
You tell a lazy lie
And I tell them you're a liar
And we sit in the dark
Needles and tubes in your arm
I see you in dark glasses
Writers and old movie stars
And you'd die before you look me in the eye
I had a dream last night
We had hit separate bottoms
You yell right in my face
And I poison myself numb and
You will lick your wounds
In only the most crowded room
I'm longing for my youth,
You were lively then, too
And you lie when the truth is hovering vast as the dark and grey sky
We were crowded and blue
You were lively then, too
