How to Make an Origami Boomerang
In this latest addition to my origami series, I will show you how to make a paper boomerang that really comes back!! To check out my throws, go to 1:02 (click here) in the video. Then do the Super Boomerang NOW!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aT2oZI1Vl64 Main Channel: http://YouTube.com/RobTV Shirts: http://www.districtlines.com/Robs-World Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/TheRobWorld Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/RobH0629 In this tutorial, I will explain how to turn a regular sheet of printer paper into an origami boomerang... well actually 2 origami boomerangs!! :-) You will need a simple Letter Sized sheet (8.5 x 11 inches) or an A4 size paper. No tape or anything else is required. I also explain at the end the way we must position the boomerang in order to throw it properly. If it falls to the ground check to see if: 1) It's upside down, refer to 12:40 for the proper way to position it before throwing--it does matter. 2) You may be angling it too far down, which can cause it to not come back all the way--try angling it upwards at an angle. 3) It's made the correct way and looks just like mine. It takes a bit of practice, and make sure to spin it really fast. Check my "Super Boomerang" Video (Link above) for another demonstration of how it's thrown. This will keep you busy for hours and is fun for all ages. Once you show off your boomerang to friends, they are definitely going to want one! Explains how to turn a piece of printer paper into an origami crane. It involves some new and advanced folds which I go through step by step on how to perform. Hope you enjoy! Traditionally, the Japanese crane is expanded at the very end, although I usually prefer not to do this. To do this, you can perform the following: 1) Just grab each wing and pull them gently apart until the middle part inflates or expands, or 2) try blowing on the bottom of the crane to inflate it that way (doesn't work as well for me). How to Make an Origami Ninja Star (Shuriken) - Double-Sided
In this video, I explain a different way (than my "single-sided" ninja star that you can find HERE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IzUXJSvB_g) to make a Ninja Star out of paper (I use printer paper, but you may use origami if you have). This ninja star is interlocked on both sides, giving it a "double-sided" appearance. Please note, I use TWO sheets of paper in this tutorial ONLY because it is EASIER this way for beginners. When I make this usually, I will only use ONE sheet of printer paper! The star is made by forming two pieces which are mirror images of each other. These pieces are then interlocked into one another to create the ninja star. The "super shuriken" or Ninja Star Frisbee, is another model I used to make (I made it up myself, although I'm sure I wasn't the first) This, however, is made using the single-sided Ninja Stars, so be sure to watch that tutorial also!- published: 21 Jul 2014

How to Make an Origami Flapping Bird
How to Make an Origami Flapping Bird
In this tutorial, I will teach you how to make an Origami Flapping Bird (really flaps!) using a regular sheet of printer paper. If you have any origami or square paper, that would be ideal to use. Making the Origami Flapping Bird is very similar to making the Origami Crane, yet with fewer folds. We must know how to make the Origami Bird Base, from which we can then make the flapping bird. I teach how to make the Bird Base step by step in this tutorial, but if you already know how to make it, you may fast forward to around 5:30. If you already know how to make the Bird Base, you may fast forward to around 5:30 to learn how to convert the bird base into a flapping bird.
