Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon speaks to journalists on the going hostilities in Gaza. Mr. Ban reiterated his call for an immediate, unconditional humanitarian ceasefire in the conflict. In a statement issued earlier the Secretary-General stressed that Israelis and Palestinians have a responsibility beyond ceasing the ongoing hostilities to start a serious dialogue to address the root causes of the conflict.  The Siasat Daily
