Chris Crocker

Chris Crocker is an American Internet celebrity, blogger, songwriter, recording artist and former pornographic film actor. Crocker gained international fame in September 2007 from his viral video "Leave Britney Alone!", in which he tearfully defended pop singer Britney Spears' comeback performance at the MTV Video Music Awards; his video had over four million views in two days. The video received international media attention, hundreds of parodies and criticism for Crocker.

Producing and acting in his own videos, Crocker is a self-described edutainer. In almost all of his adolescent works, he presents himself as an openly gay and effeminate Southerner in a "small-minded town" in the Bible Belt. Using "Crocker" as a stage name, he kept his exact location private due to safety concerns and death threats in response to his YouTube and Myspace video blogs and profile until he was no longer a teenager. According to his Myspace profile, Crocker lived in Los Angeles as of January 2008. In May 2010, he returned home to Tennessee, and now travels to Los Angeles for business.

"Love You Better" is a song from English Indie Rock band The Maccabees, released as the first single from their second album Wall of Arms, peaking at #36 in the UK.

The song first received airplay on 16 March 2009 on Radio 1 by DJ Steve Lamacq.

Music video

The music video for the song features the band playing the song with a blurry background with psychedelic colours, It was first seen on ClashMusic.com on 27 March. It appeared on YouTube a day later and currently has in excess of 1,000,000 views, making it the most viewed Maccabees song on the website.

"I Can Love You Better" is the title of a debut song written by Pamela Brown Hayes and Kostas, and recorded by American country music group Dixie Chicks. It was released in October 1997 as the first single from the album Wide Open Spaces, and was the first hit of the Natalie Maines era of the group.

The song reached number 7 on the Billboard magazine Hot Country Singles & Tracks, and represented the group's first real commercial success. The song was included in the set list on the Chicks' 2000 Fly Tour, but not on tours after that. The Dixie Chicks performed a parody of the song, "No Letter Better Than B", on Sesame Street.

Content

The song's narrator is assuring a man that she can love him better and make him forget his previous love.

Critical reception

Stephen Thomas Erlewine cited the track as "convincing" in his review of the album for Allmusic.

Music video

The music video for "I Can Love You Better" was directed by Chris Rogers. In it, the Dixie Chicks are shown performing the song while in an airport lobby. They are also shown sitting on a moving airport luggage belt, in a bakery, and on a crowded sidewalk. Also, part of the video is filmed in Nashville at A tattoo shop owned by Steve Heusohn, who also appears in the video.
