#Copascreenie Brazils World Cup newest trend!

Millions of people, 1 to be more accurate, did join brazils latest fad, the "Copascreenie". Pertaining the Copascreenie I did write a wikipedia stub [obligatory placeholder for the link] which yet needs to be approved via a tedious and fearsome (Citation from wikipedia: "Feelings may be hurt") approval process. Below is the wikipedia article without all the overly serious "references to reliable published sources": "Copascreenie" is a hype which originated during the Football World Cup 2014 created by Youtuber "FictionSource". The name has its roots from the name "Copa" which derivatives from the portugese term for "Word Cup", called "Copa do mundo". Whereas the name "Screenie" is a combination of the famous "selfie" with the term "screen" The creating process of a "Copascreenie" does include standing in front of a screen (ideally one which is projected) and taking a selfie while something world cup related airs on the screen. The person portrayed isn't constrained to a certain postures, usually though the person depicts an energetic, progressive posture such as the "Lion Scream Posture" or the "Waah! Surprise Posture!". Having taken the photo, it's normally getting posted on social networks such as "Google+", "Facebook", "Twitter", "Instagram" and is getting accompanied by the obligatory "#Copascreenie" tag. The "Coopascreenie" conveys the motto of the World Cup and is a perfect side activity for a laid-back evening watching the world cup together with friends or joining big public screenings with strangers! I have to do a 70km ride down to Amsterdam today (I'm in Rotterdam) and I don't have much time left in this city. I'll write the travel diary as soon as I have internet access again in Amsterdam!

DNS Zones

This video will look at the DNS zones that are available in DNS. Once you complete watching this video you will understand zones, what zones files are available, and how you can use the different zones. Download Handout http://itfreetraining.com/handouts/dns/dnszones.pdf What is a DNS zone? A zone file contains the data for a portion of the DNS Name space. For this reason, zones allow different administrators to have control over that part of the DNS name space. Depending on what type of zone file that you create, this will determine what types of DNS records can be stored in that zone and if the data in that zone can be modified. In this video This video will look at the following zone types: Primary zone, Secondary zone, Active Directory integrated zone, Stub zone and reverse look up zone. Depending on what the needs of the administrator are, this will determine which zone file is used. Different zone files are used in different scenarios and the administrator needs to decide the correct zone file to use for that scenario. Primary zone For any domain name, there needs to be at least one primary zone. If the primary zone is stored in a text file, rather than a database like Active Directory, then this means that the server holding the primary zone text file is the only location where changes can be made to the zone data. If another zone file is asked to make changes to the zone, these changes will be forwarded to a DNS server that is holding a primary zone. This does mean that if the DNS server holding the primary server is not available, changes cannot be made. Active Directory Integrated Zone An Active Directory Integrated Zone is essentially a primary zone that has been moved from a text file stored on the computer into the Active Directory database. The advantage of this is that any Domain Controller that has the DNS role installed on it can access the Active Directory Integrated zone. Changes can also be made on any Domain Controller running DNS unlike text based primary zones which are limited to one server. Having the data stored in Active Directory means that the zone will use the same replication system that is used to replicate objects in Active Directory which is quite efficient. Active Directory Integrated Zones also allow the clients to use secure updates. Secure updates use the secure channel created when a computer is added to the domain and thus the computer must be a domain member. If you use a primary zone stored in a text file, and if you enable dynamic updates, you are also allowing none secure updates as well. Secondary Zones A secondary zone file is a copy of another zone that is read only. The copy can be any other zone stored on any other DNS server. For example, the zone file could be stored on Windows or a UNIX based system and copied from a primary or secondary zone. If you copy the data from a secondary zone, this would essentially be a copy of a copy so you may have delays waiting for the zone data to be copied from one server to the next server. Since the zone file is read only, changes cannot be made so these changes are passed onto a server holding a primary zone. Stub Zone A Stub Zone contains only the NS (Name Server) records from a zone. This NS records contain DNS servers that are considered to be authoritative for that zone. In other words, the DNS Servers are considered to be able to give the best answers for that zone. Since stub zones update the NS records, if there are changes to the NS records, these changes will updated automatically. If you use forwarding or conditional forwarding, and if changes are made, the DNS server would not be aware of these changes. To open DNS Manager, open charms by moving the mouse to the top right hand corner of the screen and then perform a search for dnsmgmt.msc 2. If you receive a prompt for the server, enter the name of the server that is running DNS. In this case, DNS is running on the Domain Controller NYDC1. 3. When you expand down through DNS Manager, there is a section called Forward Lookup Zones. This section will contain all zones except for reverse look up zones. In this case, a domain exists so the zone ITFreeTraining.local has automatically been created and DNS records have been added to it. To find out more information about a particular zone, right click the zone and select properties. 4. In the properties of the zone, at the top is section called type. This will tell you if the zone is Active Directory Integrated, Primary, Secondary or Stub zone. If you want to change the type of zone, press the button "change" next to it. 5. On the change zone type "dialog", if you un-tick the option "Store the zone in Active Directory (available only if DNS server is a domain controller)", this will remove the zone from Active Directory and store it in a text file. If the zone file is stored in Active Directory, it will be available from any Domain Controller in the domain that has DNS installed on it. It may also be available to other Domain Controllers with DNS installed on them if the replication for the DNS zone is configured for forest wide replication. 6. If a zone is changed so it not stored in Active Directory, dynamic updates will be changed to none. Secure dynamic updates are only available for Active Directory Integrated zones. If you have a non- Active Directory Integrated zone, it can only support secure updates if non-secure updates are allowed as well. 7. To connect to another Windows DNS server, right click DNS at the top and select the option "Connect to DNS Server" and then enter in the name of the computer that you want to connect to. 8. To create a new zone, right click on Forward Lookup Zones and select the option "new zone" to launch the new zone wizard. From the wizard, select the zone that you want, these can be primary zone, secondary zone, or stub zone. If the option "Store the zone in Active Directory (available on only if DNS server is a writeable domain controller" is grayed out, DNS is not installed on a server that is a Domain Controller. 9. If you are creating a new secondary zone, the wizard will ask for the name of the DNS zone and then ask for an IP Address of a master zone. This can be any DNS server that has a copy of the DNS zone and does not matter if it is Active Directory Integrated, Primary or Secondary. If you receive an error message stating "Validation error, please try again later" it is most likely that the other DNS server has not been configured to replicate zone data. 10. To configure a zone to allow zone transfers, right click the zone and select properties. From here, select the tab "zone transfers". In order to allow other DNS servers to transfer zone data from that zone, the option "Allow zone transfers" needs to be ticked. By default this option is not ticked. There are 3 different options available. These are, "To any server", "only to servers listed on the Name Servers tab" and "Only to the following server". If you select the option "to any server", this will allow zone transfers to anyone who asks for it. This can be used by a hacker to gain information about the network, called foot printing. If your DNS server is behind a firewall, this may be an acceptable security risk. If the option "Only to servers listed on the Name Server tab" is selected, then only DNS servers that are listed on the Name Server Tab in the properties for that zone will be allowed to receive zone transfers. If you want to use this option, you need to ensure that the DNS server that you want to receive zone transfers is listed on the Name Servers tab. If it is not, you can add it manually. Long-haired variants are sometimes considered a separate breed, the Cymric.
