King tide is a colloquial term for an especially high tide, such as a perigean spring tide. "King tide" is not a scientific term, nor is it used in a scientific context. Use of the term "king tide" originated in Australia, New Zealand and other Pacific nations to refer to an especially high tide that occurs only a few times per year. The term has now come to be used in North America as well.
King tides are simply the very highest tides. Conversely, the low tides that occur at this time are the very lowest tides. They are naturally occurring, predictable events.
Tides are actually the movement of water across Earth's surface caused by the combined effects of the gravitational forces exerted by the Moon and the Sun and the rotation of Earth which manifest in the local rise and fall of sea levels. Tides are driven by the relative positions of the Earth, Moon, and Sun, the elliptical orbits of the celestial bodies, land formations, and relative location on Earth. In the lunar month, the highest tides occur roughly every 14 days, at the new and full moons, when the gravitational pull of the Moon and the Sun are in alignment. These highest tides in the lunar cycle are called spring tides.
Creative Commons (CC) is a non-profit organization devoted to expanding the range of creative works available for others to build upon legally and to share. The organization has released several copyright-licenses known as Creative Commons licenses free of charge to the public. These licenses allow creators to communicate which rights they reserve, and which rights they waive for the benefit of recipients or other creators. An easy-to-understand one-page explanation of rights, with associated visual symbols, explains the specifics of each Creative Commons license. Creative Commons licenses do not replace copyright, but are based upon it. They replace individual negotiations for specific rights between copyright owner (licensor) and licensee, which are necessary under an "all rights reserved" copyright management, with a "some rights reserved" management employing standardized licenses for re-use cases where no commercial compensation is sought by the copyright owner. The result is an agile, low-overhead and low-cost copyright-management regime, profiting both copyright owners and licensees. Wikipedia uses one of these licenses.

Today was one of the largest incoming Tides we have had in 100 years, the King’s Tide! The King’s Tide is caused by a co-occurrence of many tidal interactions, which when happening together, cause a massive over the top tide, or King’s Tide. We take a look at this King’s Tide by coming in at high tide, then returning at low tide to see a contrast in just how high the King’s Tide was. We finish off the episode with some fishing action, trying to land a papio or two, but hooking up on a humu and moano instead. King’s Tide is no joke guys! Thing is massive, there is a few more days of it happening so go check it out if you have yet to see! B...

Friday’s high tide peaked at 5:07 p.m. and a high surf advisory remains in effect for south-facing shores through 6 a.m. Sunday.
Seawall-topping king tides occur when extra-high tides line up with other meteorological anomalies. In the past they were a novelty or a nuisance. Now they hint at the new normal, when sea level rise will render current coastlines obsolete. Yesterday young and free
Your first kiss
You gave it all to me
Now I'm holding all my gold for free
Sudden dream a small thing
Makes me laugh and it makes me sing
Never knew what this love would bring
Now you have turned all my winters spring
Now I'm changing all my loneliness
I'm changing it all for happiness
And I can feel this emptiness slowly fade away
Just one look in your eyes
My best friend
You just make me fly
And I never want to end this flight
Now I'm - I'm riding on my own king tide
