John (Johnny) Kirkland Reid (born August 21, 1974 in Lanark, Scotland, UK) is a country music artist who has charted several hit singles in Canada. Reid moved to Canada in July, 1988 when he was 13. His father, a diesel mechanic, wanted to give Reid and his brother opportunities he did not think they would have in Scotland. Reid went on to attend Bishop's University in Lennoxville, Quebec, where he met his wife (and was a kicker on the varsity football team). He was nominated for the 2008 Juno Award for Country Recording of the Year for Kicking Stones. Reid was named Male Artist of the Year at both the 2008 and 2009 CCMA Awards. He also performed at the Canada Day celebrations on Parliament Hill on July 1, 2010, which the Queen and Prince Philip attended.
Reid's debut album, Another Day, Another Dime, was released in 1997 on JCD Records. No singles were ever released from the album. However, it was his second album, which was self-titled and released in 2000, where he saw minimal chart success. Three singles from this album were released and all three of which charted. The lead-off and debut single, "Given Up on Me", was a minor hit on the RPM Country Tracks chart. It reached a peak of #45. A second single, "Runnin' Wild" charted even lower at #50. The album's third and final single, "She Don't Wanna Hear", just missed the Top 40 of the country chart, peaking at #41.
I put a for sale sign on the front of my truck
Said call anytime cause I'm always up
Make an offer, one that I won't refuse
I bought a one way ticket on a west bound plane
Four hours later I was wearing shades in California
Just hanging loose
I didn't pack one memory
Oh and even though i'm free
I can go where I wanna go
Do what I wanna do
Be who I wanna be
But baby
You still own me
Say what I wanna say
Hear what I wanna hear
Dream what I wanna dream
But baby
You still own me
I was up all night cause I couldn't sleep
Instead of staring at the ceiling I hit the beach
I took a long walk, it didn't help me much
Sat down in the sand with a handful of shells
Kicked off my shoes while me myself and I watched
The sun come up
Looking out across the sea
It's finally dawned on me
(Repeat Chorus)
Maybe I'm not in your arms
But you still own my heart
Sittin in a hotel
All by myself
Me and my six string
No one else
Strumming to the rhythm
Of the rain outside
Feeling like Memphis
The night Elvis died
Have you ever been that kind of lonely
Have you ever felt that kind of sad
Have you ever missed somebody that kina bad
Have you ever been that kind of lonely
I have.
I took a walk out in the pouring rain thinking that it
just might help to ease the pain
But those delta blues they got a hold of my soul.
Got me thinking bout a woman that I can’t let go
Have you ever been that kinda lonely
Have you ever felt that kinda sad?
Have you ever missed somebody that kinda bad
Have you ever been that kinda lonely
I have.
Have you ever heard the sound of your own heart breaking
Have you ever cried yourself to sleep. Tell me. Tell me.
Have you ever been that kind of lonely
Have you ever been that kind of lonely.
Hello stranger
Good to se ya
Staring back at me
It’s been a long time
I barely recognize
Who I used to be
Yeah it’s been a journey of twists and turns
I got a little off track
I had good intentions but bad directions
All I wanna do is go back
Which way is home
I need to know
I’m like a rolling stone down a rocky road
I’ve been gone gone gone for way too long
I paid the cost of being lost
Which way is home?
Found myself in the pouring rain and let it wash me
clean.
It’s amazing what a man can see when he’s down upon his
knees
I had a soul searching revelation!
Yeah it set my chained heart free
I’m so close yet so far from where I want to be
Which way is home
I need to know
I’m like a rolling stone
Down a rocky road
And I been gone gone gone for way too long
And I paid cost for being lost
Which way is home?
Which way is home?
I been up
I been down
I been spun all around
I stumbled and fell through heaven and hell
Now it’s time for me to go
Which way is home?
I need to know
I’m like a rolling stone
Down a rocky road
And I’ve been gone gone gone gone gone for way too long
I paid the cost for being lost
Which way is home?
Which way is home?
Which way his home?
Which way is home?
Which way is home?
I need to know
Everybody's heart is torn and tattered
Mine was not designed for giving up
'Cause all I've ever done that really matters
Is what I did for love
So count me with the wounded and the shaken
Even when I'm barely standing up
I've tried to offer more than I have taken
That's what I did for love
What I did for love
I gave everything
And I hope that you can see
All that love has given me
When they sit and list the reasons I existed
I'm afraid it won't add up to very much
'Cause I gathered all I had and gladly risked it
That's what I did for love
Yeah
What I did for love
I gave everything
And I hope that you can see
All that love has given me
Someday I may silently surrender
When this old heart has finally had enough
But I hope that I will always be remembered
By what I did for love
See all I've ever done that really matters
Spend a lot of time
Beatin down doors
Livin on a dream
Sleepin on floors
Waitin on my day
Knowin itll come
Trusting my faith
For pushing me along
Shoulder to the wheel
Wind in my heels
Keeping on keeping on
To the end of the road
Never needed much
Whole lot of livin means
Pair of workin boots
Jingle in my jeans
Treating everyday like it be my last
Lookin straight ahead never lookin back
Shoulder to the wheel
Wind in my heels
Keeping on keeping on
To the end of the road
To the end of the road
Taking every step
One step at a time
Rolling with the flow
Following the signs
Never stop believing what I was born to do
Giving everything
Leaving nothing to lose
Shoulder to the wheel
Wind in my heels
Keep on keeping on
To the end of the road
To the end of the road
To the end of the road
Hey! Hey!
Spend a lot of time
Beatin down doors
Sleepin on floors
Waitin on my day
Knowing itll come
Trushing my faith
For pushing me along
Shoulder to the wheel
Wind in my heels
Keep on keeping on
To the end of the road
Yeah
To the end of the road
To the end of the road
To the end of the road
yeah
To the end of the road
To the end of the road
To the end of the road
Thats where Im gonna go
To the end of the road
(verse 1)
A Babies born,
Momma cries she sees a glance of his daddy there in his eyes take him home and watch him sleep,
stand and wonder who he’s gonna be then its Tonka trucks and baseball gloves,
then his first kiss and his first love oh the innocence,
just don’t last our dreams in our future go by so fast,
(chorus)
Mountains move, rivers run, shadows fall with the setting sun,
thunder rolls and lighting strikes the darkness covers and
swallows up the light… and time flies,
(verse2)
An old man, sits alone trying hard to remember
but his memories gone up on the wall dressed up inside a frame hangs up a
frame a couple on there wedding day,
see through his eyes the world looks gray his life was full of color but colors fade away
(chorus)
Mountains move, rivers run, shadows fall with the setting sun,
thunder rolls and lighting strikes the darkness covers and
swallows up the light… and time flies,
(Bridge)
We all laugh and we all cry we all live and we all die but through it all and in between
may the sun shine on your shoulders
may luck and love be your friends
for now, always, forever; til we meet again
may your troubles be few
I hope life’s good to you
may your heart beat steady and strong
yeah I wish you the best
may you find happiness
every step of the road you’re on
may the wind fill your sails through the rain and the
hail
carry you safely back home
may your journey unfold to a big pot of gold
at the end of your way home
may the sun shine on your shoulders
may luck and love be your friends
for now, always, forever; til we meet again
may life fill you glass
may the memories last
let the whiskey kiss you good night
may you wake every day with a smile on your face
and the ones that you love by your side
may the sun shine on your shoulders
may luck and love be your friends
for now, always, forever; til we meet again
may the sun shine on your shoulders
may luck and love be your friends
If I only had two words left to say to you.
With my last breath I'd come face the truth to you.
You've never left my side, even when I fell behind.
Thank-you, thank-you for the life you've given me.
Thank-you for sharing all your love and all your dreams.
Thank-you for every tear of happiness I've cried.
Thank-you for laying down beside me here tonight.
When I close my eyes, I say a prayer for one more day
with you.
And when I wake, I embrace the one who pulls me though.
Who pulls me through the storm when I can't go on.
Thank-you, thank-you for the life you've given me.
Thank-you for sharing all your love and all your dreams.
Thank-you, for every tear of happiness I've cried.
Thank-you for laying down beside me here tonight.
You've never let me down.
Its like you don't know how.
Thank-you, thank-you for the life you've given me.
Thank-you, for sharing all your love and all your dreams.
Thank-you.
Here I am
All alone
Staring down, down, down at the telephone
I know you hear me
I feel you near me
I need you help me
Please please tell me
Who I'm gonna call on Sunday
Who I'm gonna pour my heart out too
Who I'm gonna call on Sunday
Now that heaven has called on you
I know, you found God's grace
In a far, far , far, better place
I know your watching
My tear drops falling
It's not you going
It's me not knowing
Who I'm gonna call on Sunday
Who I'm gonna pour my heart out too
Who I'm gonna call on Sunday
Now that heaven has called on you
Tell me Margaret who
Whom I gonna call on Sunday
I could be driving in my car
I could be drinking at a downtown bar
Every conversation seems to go your way
It doesnt matter if Im on a roll
Or with friend on the telephone
Or in a crowd of a thousand people
I still hear your name
When its wrong it is amazing
After all you put me through
Well I guess I must be crazy
Still talkin bout you
I thought all I needed was a little time
To learn to live with what you left behind
Girl Im feeling like a fool who hasnt learned a thing
Babe, I bet your ears must be burning by now
Where ever you are, stand up and take a bow
Cause tonight Im just trying to get a ride
With you standing in the wings
When its wrong it is amazing
After all you put me through
Well I guess I must be crazy
Still talkin bout
Your eyes, your smile, the way you made me feel inside
Your touch was too much, how can I ever give you up
When its wrong but its amazing
After all you put me through
Well I guess I must be crazy
Well its wrong but its amazing
After all you put me through
Well I guess I must be crazy
Still talkin bout you
Still talkin bout you baby
Still talkin bout you
Still talkin bout you baby
Still talkin bout
Your eyes, your smile,
Your touch, too much,
I dont think Im gonna give up
Talkin bout you
Still talkin bout you
Sixty to Zero:
She had blue eyes, the colour
Of Amarillo skies in summer
And when we'd fly
Her hair would wrap around me
The smell of leather and gasoline
A little danger sitting next to me
And when I was with her
Man, I never felt so alive
Sky was red, I was green
Road was black, seventeen
She was fast, I was slow
She was all I could hold
Summer flew, she was gone
Little did I know my heart could go
From sixty to zero
We'd sit in my car night after night
Watchin' the stars as they flew by
We'd go 'round the world at the speed of light
And never turn the key
Still I wonder where she might be
And if she ever stops and thinks about me
'Cause God knows
I sure think about her
(Repeat Chorus)
Sixty to zero
We loved and laughed enough to last a lifetime
But at least for a little while she was mine
Silent Night, Holy night, all is calm, all is bright
'Round yon Virgin Mother and Child
Holy Infant so tender and mild
Sleep in Heavenly peace
Sleep in Heavenly peace
Silent Night, Holy night, shepherds quake at the sight
Glories stream from Heaven a far
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia
Christ the Savior is born
Christ the Savior is born
Silent Night, Holy night, Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
Sleep in heavenly peace
Here I am an this road
Thousand miles from her
There's an echo in my soul
Like waves against her shores
She's the place that I go
When I find myself alone
With her fields of purple heather
And her fences made of stone
She calls me home
Something that I always felt inside
A dream I had to chase
And a mountain I just had to climb
To see what's on the other side
It doesn't really matter how lost i get
Or how far I roam
She calls me home
She's the comstant strength in my restless heart
She's the reason why
I got this far in the first place
Her voice rings clear in the back of my mind
When I can't go on
She calls me home
She calls me home
There's only one place where my roots run deep
There's only one place where i can swing
In my family tree
I know what it means to me
It doesn't matter how lost i get
Or how far I roam
You better Watch out
you better not cry,
you better not pout i'm tellin' you why,
Santa Claus is coming to town,
Santa Claus is coming to town,
Santa Claus is coming to town,
He's making a list checkin it twice,
he's gonna find out whos naughty or nice,
Santa Claus is coming to town
Santa Claus is coming to town,
Santa Claus is coming to town,
He sees you when your sleepin'
he knows when your awake,
he knows if you been bad or good
so be good for goodness sake
You better Watch out
you better not cry,
you better not pout i'm tellin' you why,
Santa Claus is coming to town,
Santa Claus is coming to town,
Santa Claus is coming to town,
the kids and girls in boyland will have what you
believe

the christmas tree.
You better watch out you better
not cry you better not pout i'm tellin' you why
Santa Claus is coming to town
Santa Claus is coming
Santa Claus is coming
Getting through the house of lows
And learning how to just let go
Sometimes that pot of gold comes
Right out of the blue
If a bucket of love is what you find
It’s up to you to pass it down
What goes around always comes around
Right out of the blue
Na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na
Right out of the blue
Sometimes it’s hard to see
The forest for the trees
We’re all given what we need
Right out of the blue
If you feel love has passed you by
Don’t give up, now don’t you cry
Life can turn on a dime
Right out of the blue
Everybody sing!
Na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na
Right out of the blue
Getting through the house of lows
And learning how to just let go
Sometimes that pot of gold comes
Right out of the blue
Everybody sing!
Na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na
Right out of the blue
Everybody now
Na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na
Na na na na na na na
My day started
Broken hearted
Like an old time country song
Right then I knew
All I had to do
Was pick up the telephone
I dialed the number
An old familiar number
I prayed hadnt changed
I knew the word, every single word
That my heart wanted to say
Ooo ooo baby
I still love you so
Ooo ooo
Theres a burning deep down in my soul
I want us back to together
Im talking about forever
And I aint playing no games
Do you want to start a fire with an old flame?
Do you want to start a fire with an old flame?
Do you want to start a fire with an old flame?
Do you want to start a fire with an old flame?
The phone kept ringing
Just kept on ringing
A hundred times or more
I finally gave up
I had to hang up
When a knock came a knockin on my door
I couldnt believe it
I could hardly conceive it
You were standing right in front of me
I thought I was dreamin
I said I must be dreaming
Until she turned around and said to me
Oooo ooo baby
I still love you so
Oooo ooo
Theres a burning deep down in my soul
Theres a burning deep down in my soul
I want us back to together
Im talking about forever
And I aint playing no games
Do you want to start a fire with an old flame?
Do you want to start a fire with an old flame?
Do you want to start a fire with an old flame?
Do you want to start a fire with an old flame?
Now were back together
Were talking about forever
We aint playing no games
Nooo noo
I started up a fire with an old flame
She started up a fire with an old flame
Yeah, we started up a fire with an old flame
Now were dancing by the fire with an old flame
Yeahh yah yah yeah
Ain't it funny how life
Is measured in time
Ain't if funny how fate
Never leaves it to late
I heard a heavenly song
I started singing along
Still I can't beleive
You sent her to me
Chorus:
She feel from the sky
Right into my life
Through a hole in the clouds
All her friends were looking down
I found her crying in the rain
I helped her mend her wings
When she never flew back
Lord I knew for a fact
That you were missing an angel
Is she here to save us all
Or just to catch me when I fall
Is she part of your plan
To make me a better man
Every night I say a pray
That in the morning she'll be there
And if I die before I wake
Chalk it up to give or take
Chorus:
When she never flew back
Lord I knew for a fact
That you were missing an angel
Oh yeah, Oh yeah,
"Love Sweet Love"
"Love Sweet Love"
You let the sun ..light up my life..
We'll lay a blanket on the ground..
Down by the river side..
We'll smell the flowers..
Savor the wine...
Get lost in each others arms..
One kiss at a time.
There's no telling what were gonna do..
When the only thing between me and you..
Is love sweet love, Intoxicating!
Honey to a bee, Sugar for you baby..
Can never get enough to satisfy the graving..
For Love, love, love,
Love sweet love!
There's a sound....of you and me.
Getting carried away together,
On a sunny breeze.
Its a touch.. of you on my skin...
That leaves me wanting more, and more
Again and again.
Its a feeling so amazing,
When you feel it, there's no mistake!
Love Sweet Love, Intoxicating!
Honey to a bee, Sugar for you baby...
You never get enough to satisfy the craving...
For Love, Love, Love,
Love sweet love!
Birsting away the emotion...
Alive and over flowing..
I've found the peace in knowing...
That it's all we'll ever need...
Yeah!!
Love Sweet Love....Intoxicating!
Honey to a bee, Sugar for you baby!
You never get enough to satisfy the craving...
For Love, Love, Love,
Love sweet...
Love, love, love, love sweet love...
Love sweet love, Love sweet love...
Ooh...love sweet love...
Ooh..love sweet love...
Hmmmm...yeah...
I remember, sitting in my old man's truck,
Watching him and all the other men,
Down on their luck.
Standing around the fire,
Fighting off the cold.
Smokin' swearin' kickin' stones.
You know hard times,
Can turn a good man bad.
Make him do things,
Out of anger, he wish he'd never had.
And me and momma,
We'd watch him rollin' home.
Smokin', swearin' kickin' stones.
(Chorus)
Kickin'stones, kickin'stones
Down a long windin' road.
They were smokin' swearin' kickin' stones.
(Solo of music)
All the dark days,
Turned into years.
And all the hard times,
They sure stoled a lot of tears
But there came a time,
When I had to move on.
From the smoki', swearin, kickin' stones
(Chorus 2)
Kickin'stones, kickin'stones
Down a long windin' road.
Brought me here, brought me home
With 2 boys, of my own
They come runnin',
They come laughin',
When I start singin'
They start dancin'
We go walkin'
Hand in hand,
Kickin' stones
(2 more times)
Seemd everytime things are looking up
The sky comes crashing down
Seems everytime we spread our wings
We're chained to the ground
These troubled times never seem to fade away
But it won't be long 'till these dark clouds reveal better days
I promise you
Whatever we run into
As sure as I am I'll never let go of your hand
I promise you we'll fly up in sky's of blue
Our love will pull us through I promise you
With innocence lost where do you run
To get out of the storm
Dry your tears the only shelter you need
Is right in my arms
Take a deep breath and just hold on to me believe
You belong in the sun now baby right here next to me
I promis you
Whatever we run into
As sure as I am I'll never let go of your hand
I promise you we'll fly up in sky's of blue
Our love will pull us through I promise you
Take a deep breath and just hold on to me, believe
You belong in the sun now baby right here next to me
I promise you
Whatever we run into
As sure as I am I'll never let go of your hand
I promise you we'll fly up in sky's of blue
Momma told me my daddy was a ramblin' man
I was born in the backseat of a Volkswagon van
A different town every other month
I couldn't even tell you where I grew up
Made me who I am
Now I'm just like my old man
I dance when I hear fiddle music
I fall in love when the sprit moves me
I ain't got no crystal ball but
When the sun comes up you know I'm gone
I don't work but I ain't lazy
Some girl's always trying to save me
She don't know this rock was meant to roll
I got gypsy in my soul
I got freedom flowing through my restless veins
I got friends in forty nine outta fifty states
I don't need no address don't need no map
Where ever I'm going that's where I'm at
I don't apologize
For the way I live my life
I dance when I hear fiddle music
I fall in love when the spirit moves me
I ain't got no crystal ball but
When the sun comes up you know I'm gone
I don't work but I ain't lazy
Some girl's always trying to save me
She don't know this rock was meant to roll
I got gypsy
In my soul there's a constant unsettled thunder
To change the sky I'm living under
I guess I'll die trying to find what's down the road
Here I go now
I dance when I hear fiddle music
I fall in love when the spirit moves me
I ain't got no crystal ball but
When the sun comes up you know I'm gone
I don't work but I ain't lazy
Some girl's always trying to save me
She don't know this rock was meant to roll
I got gypsy
I got gypsy in my soul
In my soul
I woke up this morning,
Better than I felt last night.
I heard a blue bird singing on a window sill outside.
I used to chase the moment
So scared to fall behind.
Now I get where I’m going
One day at a time.
And I’m feeling alright today.
Yeah
I’m feeling alright today
I got the sun shining on my face
Yeah
I’m feeling alright today
I don’t worry about tomorrow.
Or the clouds of yesterday
Hang onto my rainbow;
That’s where I like to stay
I’m feeling alright today
I’m reeling alright today yeah
I’m feeling alright today yeah
I got the sun shining on my face
Yeah I’m feeling alright today
Sometimes I get to thinking about the treasures in my
life
I get the feeling like that blue bird on the window sil
outside.
I’m feeling alright
I’m feeling alright today yeah
I’m feeling alright today year
Yeah
I got the sun shining on my face.
Yeah I’m feeling alright today
I’m feeling alright today
Yeah I’m feeling alright today
Yeah I am
I’m feeling alright
I’m feeling alright today
I’m feeling alright today
I’m feeling alright today

But I don't have a dime
Darlin'
Your so far behind me
Tomorrow's gonna find me
Further down the line
Taking me some paper
A pencil in my hand
I'm ganna write
Darlin'
You know I feel the cold nights
Thinking of the old nights
Spent alone with you
Darlin'
A tear is in my eye now
Knowing I could try now
To make it back to you
Hey!
Darlin'
I love you more than ever
I wish we were together
Darlin' Mine
Darlin'
I'm feeling pretty lonesome
I'd call you on the phone some
But I don't have a dime
Darlin'

Tomorrow's gonna find me
Further down the line

I'm feeling pretty lonesome (so lonesome)
I'd call you on the phone some (call you on the phone some)
But I don't have a dime ( No I don't have a dime)
Darlin' (pretty Darlin')
Your so far behind me (So far behind me)
Tomorrow's gonna fine me (tomorrow's gonna find me)
further down the line (down the line)
Darlin' (Pretty darlin')
I'm feeling pretty lonesome (oh I'm so so lonesome)
I'd call you on the phone some(on the phone some)
Here I am
All alone
Staring down, down, down at the telephone
I know you hear me
I feel you near me
I need you help me
Please please tell me
Who I'm gonna call on Sunday
Who I'm gonna pour my heart out too
Who I'm gonna call on Sunday
Now that heaven has called on you
I know, you found God's grace
In a far, far, far, better place
I know your watching
My tear drops falling
It's not you going
It's me not knowing
Who I'm gonna call on Sunday
Who I'm gonna pour my heart out too
Who I'm gonna call on Sunday
Now that heaven has called on you
Tell me Margaret who
Whom I gonna call on Sunday
Frost on the window
Snow on the ground
Children outside laughing
They all know who's coming to town
Every house on my street
Is covered up in lights
The echo of locals
Singing "O Holy Night"
It all started with a child
And a star up in the sky
A manger and a prayer
Three wise men standing there
The beginning of life
That will forever shine
The greatest gift to all mankind
Started with a child
There's a snowman on the lawn
Angel on the tree
The sound of distant sleigh bells
Sure makes it hard to sleep
People come together
We all pray for peace on Earth
Thank heaven the blessings
Every boy and every girl
(Repeat Chorus)
The greatest gift to all mankind
Started with a child
Highway man
That's what they call me
Ridin' on the wind, wild and free
Rollin' stone
Down a desert highway
Chasin' one more dream
Been that way ever since I was young
Don't know what it is that makes me run
There ain't no friends, there ain't no town
There ain't nobody ever slowed me down
There ain't no peace in this gypsy's soul
And like a tumbleweed, guess I was born to roll
Yeah, born to roll
Dashboard lights
In the eyes of a dreamer
I'm addicted, they make me high
No where's home
Yeah I'm still lookin'
Gotta keep movin' if I wanna survive
I've nearly settled down a couple times
And here I go again, sayin' goodbye
There ain't no friends, there ain't no town
There ain't nobody ever slowed me down
There ain't no peace in this gypsy's soul
And like a tumbleweed, guess I was born to roll
Yeah, born to roll
There ain't no peace in this gypsy's soul
And like a tumbleweed, guess I was born to roll
Whoa yeah, born to roll
Born to roll
Highway man, that's what they call me
Ridin' on the wind, wild and free
i'm so sorry i left you virginia
i'm so sorry i left you my love
crying there in the rain
just saying my name i was in a rush
and i'm asking forgiveness virginia

Have I told you
Have I shown you
What Im feeling
When I hold you
It feels like heaven
Heaven surrounds me
Everytime you, you wrap your arms around me
And theres nothing I can say or ever do
to deserve the love of a woman like you
When your with me
When you kiss me
When you tell me
How much you missed me
Every moment were together
It brings us closer, closer to forever
And theres nothing I can say or ever do
to deserve the love a woman like you
Where would I go,
What would I do,
Who would I be
Without a woman like you
A woman like you
Have I told you
Have I shown you
What Im feeling
When Im holding you
It feels like heaven
Heaven surrounds me
Every time you
You wrap your arms around me
And theres nothing I can say or ever do
to deserve the love of a woman like you
No there nothing I can say or ever do
to deserve the love of a woman like you
A woman like you
a sweet woman like you
yeah a woman like you
yeah to deserve a woman like you
I'm gettin' fire mercury's a risin'
It all started with the warmth of your kiss
I got a fever runnin' with passion
Never thought love could get hotter than this
And then you turned it up another notch
Ain't nothin' like the power of a women's touch
Can you feel my pulse oh what a rush
You got me thinkin' like the devil in the name of love
You took my farther than I've been before
And when I thought I couldn't take any more
You turned it up
I'm like a rock lyin' in the desert
After the rain just soakin' up steam
You're like the sun bearin' down upon me
Just when I thought I could finally stand the heat
Girl you turned it up another notch
Aint nothin' like the power of a women's touch
Can you feel my pulse oh what a rush
You got me thinkin' like the devil in the name of love
You took my farther than I've been before
And when I thought I couldn't take any more
You turned it up
Hold me kiss me touch me love me
Take me to the limit
Don't know if I can take it
But don't waste another minute
Turn it up another notch
Ain't nothin' like the power of a women's touch
Can you feel my pulse oh what a rush
You got me thinkin' like the devil in the name of love
You took my farther than I've been before
And when I thought I couldn't take any more
You turned it up
You turned it up
You turned it up
I made a promise to myself
to never fall again
I put up a defence
and I let nobody in
How can I forgive
the way you left my heart
How can I forget
when I'm reminded by a scar
And how do I erase a tear
thats fallen on my page
I dont know where we went wrong
but I know this aint no love song
Yeah I know this aint no love song
but i wish it was
Theres no one here to blame
So I guess it's up to me
To look the other way
Even though it's hard to see
And how do I erase a tear
thats fallen on my page
I dont know where we went wrong
but I know this aint no love song
Yeah I know this aint no love song
but i wish it was
Oh yeah
And how do I erase a tear
thats fallen on my page
I dont know where we went wrong
but I know this aint no love song
Yeah I know this aint no love song
but i wish it was
Yeah I wish it was.
