Twister is a 1996 American disaster drama film starring Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton as storm chasers researching tornadoes. It was directed by Jan de Bont from a screenplay by Michael Crichton and Anne-Marie Martin. Its executive producers were Steven Spielberg, Walter Parkes, Laurie MacDonald and Gerald R. Molen. Twister was the second-highest grossing film of 1996 domestically, with an estimated 55 million tickets sold in the US.
In the film, a team of storm chasers try to perfect a data-gathering instrument, designed to be released into the funnel of a tornado, while competing with another better-funded team with a similar device during a tornado outbreak across Oklahoma. The plot is a dramatized view of research projects like VORTEX of the NOAA and the device, called Dorothy, is copied from TOTO used in the 1980s by NSSL.
Twister is notable for being both the first Hollywood feature film to be released on DVD format and one of the last to be released on HD DVD.Twister has since been released on Blu-ray disc.

Let's just fight. I'll pay you the school fees if I lose.::Ip Man: Ok. I am Ip Man of Wing Chun.

Wong Shun Leung: Master, you really can fight ten men at once.

On the way back to get Tommy, Michael gets in a car accident and writes down the wrong information to the victim. Michael and Tommy get into an argument when Michael gets home and Tommy leaves the next day. Tommy's mother calls Michael's parents to tell him how rude Michael was to Tommy. Then, Michael's parents punish him by sending him to Tommy and his aunt's ranch to work for a month for free. Yeah
Well, Well, Milton Bradley's got a def one
It's a Twister (Twister, Twister, Twister)
Yeah, all the girls and homeboys
Playin' Twister (Twister, Twister, Twister!)
Spin the spinner and call the shot
Twister ties you up in a knot
That's Twister
Yeah, Twister
Check it
Right foot blue (Right foot blue)
Left hand red (Left hand red)
Left, Right, Yellow, Blue, Green
Yeah, Twister
Now, everybody's chillin'
With the Twister (Twister)
Wherever things are illin'
You'll find Twister (Twister, Twister!)
That's Twister
Yeah, Twister
Yeah buddy
You gotta get it
Yeah Twister
She was kind of fragile
And she had a lot to grapple with
But basically she kept
It all inside
Childlike and effervescent
With a well of pain
The depth of I could not imagine
If I tried
Never thought that I
Would hear them say
Twister went and threw it all away
She was kind of magical
Her laughter sent you casually
Floating through a moment
Of release
Dear God, it's all so tragic
And I'll never have the chance
To feel the closure
That I untimately need
No, I never dreamed
That there would come a time
Twister'd go and leave it all behind
Lord I pray she's found some peace
And her soul's somewhere at ease
Yeah I'm feeling kind of fragile
And I've got a lot to handle
But I guess this is my way
The magnificent structure straddled the river
As I dictated my autobiography to my biographer
When I heard this tune
My title was ";Renegade Genius";
But was interrupted much too soon
Was interrupted much too soon
I received this line
Twister
From me in Hampstead he received a letter
I headed it ";Dear Twister";
Up from West Hampstead I visited Keswick
On permission from the guard
I begun like this but could not continue it
When I heard this tune
(It begun like this but could not continue it)
My ears were burned
By this tune
My head swooned
By this tune
Twister
The train from London on day of lunacy
Was packed with innocents
Children tended by walkman'd parents
Cretins auditioning
For non-existent parts on TV One
The train was a tube
Within the crushing beauty of the countryside
On the London-Keswick run
Twister
([MES in background:
My head burned...burned...da da da da..my ears burned..
countryside has sold out..countryside...cheap phone calls home...
accent all around..cheap phone calls...ramble..grinning...
normally..rambled...in my ear hole...was day of lunacy..some things
like...explosives..of pages turned..shadows..massive fucking noises...pop stars.. heh heh hackles...try mystic meg..twister...rustic town...
twister)
Twister
Life's a gamble and then you die
No explanation or reasons why
You hit the big stage up in the sky
We'll see who burns and we'll see who flies
Why am I here?
Lots of answers but nothing's clear
Forgotten images of what we are
It's like a twister
Spinning me around again
Twister, here we go around again
Blame it all on me
Life's a short trip on a fast train
Put some [Incomprehensible] in your veins
Just excuses to kill the pain
There's lots of things to numb your brain
Why am I here?
Lots of answers but nothing's clear
Forgotten images of what we are
It's like a twister
Spinning me around again
Twister, here we go around again
Blame it all on me
(All on me)
Twister
Spinning me around again
Twister, here we go around again
Blame it all on me
(All on me)
Life's a short trip and I'm to blame
Too much stupid is in my veins
Any excuse just to kill the pain
There's too many things to numb my brain
Numb my brain
Twister
Spinning me around again
Twister, here we go around again
Blame it all on me
(All on me)
Twister
Spinning me around again
Twister, here we go around again
Blame it all on me
(All on me)
(Twister!) Down in the fields the bodies are lying in spirals
Hanging from trees, they're clicking their heels to (Twister!)
Down in the towns the water is brown with my taste
Nutrasweet and nuclear waste
C Yippee yi yay kiyay kiyay! / Disease is touring the U.S.A.
and stopping at Denny's along the way
A Texan nachos and the bubonic plague
(Twister!) Down in the streets the cars are spinning in spirals
Not surprising--there's no one driving
(Twister!) East to West, the world is blessed with my fame
A growing pain that's hard to explain--C
(Twister!)
Back at home the cold is growing, back at home
(When I wanna hold you all I gotta do...)
I need to hear you say goodbye
I don't know why I hang around
You soothe the pain within my eyes
And then you leave without a sound
Show me a sign and I'm taking you home
Give me the time to show how I have grown
Under the old back porch you knew
I loved you more than there and so
You will let me fall back on my own
And where you were I'll never know
Show me a sign and I'm taking you home
Give me the time to show how I have grown
There'll be sun, all eyes fall from heaven now
See that I walk on that way
So to the fall, all stares, all breaks and no breaths
Yeah, I walk on through the listen
So you're sad I turn away
To find out what I can be and so
All these colors that shine within my soul
And all I am, you'll never know
I see the signs and I'm taking you home
And I'll have the time to show how I have grown
It all works, all harbored lands
Something is real here, my real bonney lass
Something is real here and it's real there, it's real here
She was kind of fragile
And she had a lot to grapple with
But basically she kept
It all inside
Childlike and effervescent
With a well of pain
The depth of I could not imagine
If I tried
Never thought that I
Would hear them say
Twister went and threw it all away
She was kind of magical
Her laughter sent you casually
Floating through a moment
Of release (Keep on flowing)
Dear God, it's all so tragic
And I'll never have the chance
To feel the closure
That I untimately need
No, I never dreamed
That there would come a time
Twister'd go and leave it all behind
Lord I pray she's found some peace
And her soul's somewhere at ease
Yeah I'm feeling kind of fragile
And I've got a lot to handle
But I guess this is my way
Of saying goodbye
