Better Body Plan 2014: Head-to-Toner Circuit Workout Routine

This workout routine is packed with muscle toning and cardio exercises from start to finish. Make sure to try all of the videos in the series to see the best results! For the Iron Burpee workout move, start with a weight in each hand. Lower into a squat exercise position with your feet wide. Just like in a burpee exercise, place your weights on the ground for balance and push into a plank exercise position. Keep your abs tight here to really get in a great abdominal workout, too. Pushing back into the squat, extend your arms out to your sides That's right, it's an arm workout, too! Complete two or three sets of 12-15 reps each. In the Ready, Set, Go Combo exercise, keep those hand weights. Start almost sitting, extending your arms out in front of you. Then, balancing on your weights and on one leg, extend your other leg back behind you. The lower you squat, the more of a leg workout you'll get. Complete two or three sets of 12-15 reps each. The Curtsy Kick exercise requires a lot of focus on your lower body. With one leg crossed under the other, use your fingertips for balance. The leg that was underneath you kicks out to the side, and lower into a squat when returning it to the starting position. Keep your stomach in tight and dig into your abdominals for that added bonus of an ab workout! Complete two or three sets of 12-15 reps on each side. The Super Warrior exercise is a challenging lower body workout, but it also adds in a little arm workout, too. With a weight in each hand, pull one arm back like you're using a bow and arrow. At the same time, lower into a back lunge. Coming out of this, kick the leg that was behind you as high as you can in the front. Keep balanced with those weights in your hands! Lower into a close squat exercise to cap off the move. Repeat this for two or three sets of 12-15 reps on each leg. For the Shaping Sweep workout move, keep your weights and balance on one leg. The other leg comes up in front of you, then back behind in a sweeping motion. Try not to twist your abs too much because the stabilization keeps the core tight. As you sweep your leg back, your arms follow suit and sweep back and forth, too. Complete two or three sets of 12-15 reps on each leg. Stay as low as possible in the Knockout circuit workout move. Using your quads to support you in this lower body workout, lower into a squat exercise position. Bring your arms in front of you, then extend one out to the side. Let your head point in its new direction as you bring it back in. You'll really feel your heart rate race in this--a sign of a great cardio exercise! Complete two or three sets of 12-15 reps. The Ballet Butt Plie workout move has you started in a very low sitting position, one foot perpendicular to the other so that your legs form a letter "c". Using your fingertips on the ground for support, extend your legs fully. While this may seem like a stretch, each squat also is a low-impact butt workout. Finish two or three sets of 12-15 reps. The final move, the Eagle Lunge exercise, requires weights again. Balancing on one foot, push into a back lunge with your arms in front of your chest. Extending that back leg forward into a kick, let your arms push to the sides, too. Complete two or three sets of 12-15 reps on each side. While this cardio workout move is an awesome fat burning exercise, you'll feel the burn in your shoulders and calves, too. This full-body workout really gets to every part of your body!
