IT company employee's wife found dead in Chennai

CHENNAI: A 25-year-old homemaker was found dead with her throat slit at her house in Pallikaranai here on Tuesday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Sukhi Devi, wife of Saravanan.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, St Thomas Mount, P Saravanan said Saravanan, employed at an IT company, left home in the morning and when he returned in the evening, he found the door open and his wife lying in a pool of blood.
Police rushed to the spot on hearing of the incident and moved the body to the Chromepet government hospital for postmortem.
Police said no valuables were lost. They said they were probing all angles and that it was too early to comment.
Police said the couple had married five years ago. They moved into the present house recently.
The incident shocked the quiet neighbourhood and neighbours told police that the couple were quiet and kept to themselves.
