Bactrian camel , or Bactrian (Latin Camelus bactrianus) - the largest representative of the family of camelids (Camelidae), along with related dromedary ( dromedary or dromedary ) camels to the genus itself (Latin Camelus). Aside from having two humps and larger in size and weight , Bactrian camel differs from the average single-humped much thicker coat. Both camel - closely related species forming viable fertile hybrids . Bactrian well adapted to living in conditions of extreme continental dry climate with hot and dry summers and very cold and snowy winters. Characteristic for the camels anatomical and physiological features allow him unusually long time without water and be satisfied by the rudest and nutrient-poor food. Harsh winters Bactrian camel also carries relatively easy due to the extremely thick wool . However, two-humped camel categorically not tolerate dampness and is found only in areas with the dry climate. Двугорбый верблюд, или бактриан (лат. Camelus bactrianus) — крупнейший представитель семейства верблюдовых (Camelidae), относящийся наряду с одногорбым верблюдом (дромадером, или дромедаром) к роду собственно верблюдов (лат. Camelus). Кроме наличия двух горбов и бо́льшего размера и веса, двугорбый верблюд отличается от одногорбого в среднем гораздо более густым шёрстным покровом. Оба верблюда — близкородственные виды, образующие жизнеспособные плодовитые помеси. Бактриан хорошо приспособлен к обитанию в условиях резко континентального сухого климата с жарким и сухим летом и очень морозными и снежными зимами. Характерные для верблюдов анатомические и физиологические особенности позволяют ему необычайно долго обходиться без воды и довольствоваться самым грубым и малопитательным кормом. Суровые зимы двугорбый верблюд также переносит сравнительно легко благодаря исключительно густой шерсти.
